Can someone who has lost a loved one move forward without being held back by their past? That's the situation for Serene, a 20-year-old female assassin who lost her husband a year ago. One night, after eliminating a criminal businessman, an ebony envelope and a short candle suddenly appeared on her dorm desk. Intrigued, she looked inside the envelope and found a card inviting her to join a school called Enchantine College. Following the instructions on the card, she lit the candle, went to a large mirror in the corner, and poured melted candle wax on the glass. The mirror then began to glow. Serene took the final step instructed on the invitation card; she stepped inside the mirror.
"Where am I?" She breathed out.
Serene found herself laying on a bed in a school infirmary room. Then, she was met with a headmistress named Crowne Deyina who welcomed her to Verre Academy.
