PROLOGUE: THE POWER OF LAZY
First of all, this story is purely fictional. A product of my imagination.
My name is *Luneya Mina.
Am I beautiful? Yes. But not _that_ beautiful.
I’m 19. I just finished studying. And my exam results? The worst.
I’m the laziest child in the family.
I have 5 siblings. I’m the fourth.
*First — my hateful brother.*
He’s a boxer. The only son.
He doesn’t like me. I’ve never supported anything he does.
It’s not that I hate him. He treats me like trash.
Do I care? Go to heaven! 🤭
*Second and Third — my sisters.*
Both of them are excellent. Top students at the best university in Malaysia.
They’re good to me. But they’re always busy.
I had no idea they were busy with *Nainai Ra’s project*.
They’re rarely home.
*And Fifth — my youngest sister.*
The beloved granddaughter of my mother’s mother, *Nainai Ra*.
Nainai Ra adores her.
When you’re the favorite grandchild, you get everything you ask for.
Nainai praises her non-stop. The praise never ends.
Do I care? Not even a little bit. It makes me sick 🤢.
*Grandma and Grandpa on my father’s side: Qarim Lu and Amana.*
Tokkulu is a Chinese martial arts master in Sentosa Village.
Opahana is a Malay silat practitioner.
They love me the most, even though I’m lazy.
They cook for me. They spoil me, their beloved granddaughter.
But they love the other grandchildren too.
*Grandma and Grandpa on my mother’s side: Lu Lun Ya, also known as Sarah Lu, and Mamato Shakir.*
TokbahKey is a hardworking village man.
He loves all his grandchildren, including me.
Both sides of my grandparents have nicknames.
Father’s side: *Opahana & Tokkulu*.
Mother’s side: *Nainai Ra & TokbahKey*. Nice, right? ☺️🥰
Nainai Ra is from mainland China. She married TokbahKey, a pure Malay.
Opahana is pure Malay. Tokkulu is from Taiwan.
We’re a mix of Chinese and Taiwanese descent.
We were raised with Chinese discipline, mixed with Malay customs.
We take the good. We leave the bad behind.
And in this family… I am the laziest.
Let me repeat that.
*LAZY. LAZY. THE POWER OF LAZY.*
Because of my laziness, I got trapped in Nainai Ra’s project:
*"TIME ALLEY TO ANOTHER WORLD."*
Nainai Ra is brilliant. Her mind is dangerous.
She built tools. Paths. Gateways. I don’t even know what to call them.
Doors to another world.
According to her research, the road leads to another life.
But it doesn’t change the future.
*A Time Lane. In other words — time travel.*
Imagine walking into a street or hallway that leads to another world.
Once you’re in, you can’t go back.
Want to return? Then finish your story to the very end.
If you prepared in advance, maybe you can come back quickly.
If you didn’t… then solve it yourself. With your brain. 👎🏽😫😬😁🧐🤭 Hahaha.
For example, Nainai Ra will write a title — the destination she wants to send someone to.
“Thrown Away in an Isolated Era.”
Requirements: strong mentality, proper preparation, and lots of reading.
Nainai Ra has worked on this project ever since she married TokbahKey.
TokbahKey believes in her. He never questioned her. Not once.
This project started with Nainai Ra alone.
Then it was passed to my mother.
Then my father.
Then my brother.
Then my two sisters.
And finally, my youngest sister.
Remember their names:
Father’s side — *Opahana & Tokkulu*.
Mother’s side — *Nainai Ra & TokbahKey*.
Why were they chosen?
Because their records were clean. No flaws.
Smart. Diligent. They read.
Whatever Nainai Ra told them to do, they obeyed.
And me?? 😎💨
I never came home for school holidays.
I only wanted to go to *Opahana & Tokkulu’s* house.
But here’s the irony.
Because of this *TIME TRAVEL* project,
Nainai Ra finally accepted me.
She started to like me. Like a real granddaughter.
I’m happy.
And the best part? She accepts my laziness.
Power is not power.
There, I learned so much.
Kungfu. Silat. The way villagers live.
Ethics. Manners. By spending time with the elders.
I had no time to read or study.
My time was spent with my grandparents, cousins, and the big extended family of *Tokkulu & Opahana*.
That’s where I lived.
Until one night…
*Nainai Ra, TokbahKey, and my whole family came to visit me in Sentosa Village.*
And that night… my life changed forever.
