Looking at the man who she suppose she should call her l fiancee, Willow stared at Cooper with nothing but hatred in her gaze.
She glared at him intensely before diverting her gaze to barely dressed figure that nestled in his arms. The person she once referred to as her best friend in the world and also the one who would stand as her Bride maid in less than a month.
She let out a self mocking laugh as she thought about all she has done for this pair only to be left heart broken. As she squatted down, she looked up at the adulterous pair and thought to herself that if she hadn't forgotten her keys at his apartment, she would have been led on like a fool and would have handed over all her adopted mother inheritance to him.
As she stared at the barely dressed Cora, her Best friend until about 30 minutes ago, she wondered where she had gone wrong. After pondering over all her actions in the past, Willow couldn't pinpoint at what direction or at what point she had failed to be a good friend to Cora and how she had failed to be a good fiancée to Fredrick.
"What did I ever do to deserve this kind of betrayal" Willow questioned the pair with self-pity
" What did I ever do? I gave the both of you everything I have " Willow said as she remained in the same position
A drop of tear rolled down before the tears started pouring out uncontrollably
"What crime did I make"
"What sin did I commit"
"I gave you everything, everything, I gave it to you" Willow as the tears choked her. She faced the floor as the tears streamed out of her eyes.
A pair of delicate feet appeared in front of her.
" You did nothing wrong" Cora said with malice as she patted Willow's head affectionately.
"The only sin you commited is foolishness"
"If you were not foolish and you had listened to the advice of your late mother, maybe you wouldn't have ended up like this" Cora said as she revealed an evil smile, accompanying it with an evil laugh.
"Do you really think that we could have done it alone, of course not, we got a little help from a special somebody" Her fiancee until about 30 minutes ago enlightened her as her squatted down and brought up Cora.
"You do not need to do things like this honey, you do not want to harm our child or do you ?"
Fredrick nagged Cora with an unmistakable doting voice.
Willow's entire world was shattered once again.
"Ba-by" Willow repeated with a shaky voice.
"Oh, it looks like you have not fully grasped the situation, I am pregnant with Fredrick child and see" Cora announced proudly as she raised up her left finger to show Willow the big diamond stone on it.
"Fredrick proposed to me, minutes before you arrived and ruined the moment" Cora said arrogantly as she nestled in Frederick's arms and placed her left hand on his chest, showing Willow how intimate they are.
If you were to ask Willow, how she left the apartment, she would not be able to give a definite answer because she also can not explain. The reason being because she had just gotten her heart crushed over and over again.
Firstly she could not place her finger at a point where she failed as a good Best friend to Cora. She did everything she could to make Cora happy even if she was not pleased with it. Right from their time in the orphanage, she took Cora as her one and only friend and did everything she could do to make her satisfied. Even when she was adopted, she made sure she did not lose contact with Cora, and they remained as tight as ever, so Willow does not understand where the hatred came from.
As for Fredrick, they were together for almost six years, right from their freshman days, and she practically gave all her attention to him and did not waver in her feelings towards him and gave him her all so why did he end up betraying her.
As for her Aunt, Uncle and cousins, how did she end up offending them. She did as they told when her mom was alive and even after her death. So why did they scheme against together with the adulterous pair. She did not even fight for her mother's inheritance, she simply left her mother's company in Uncle's hand to manage it for her. She did not even ask him or bother to find out if the company was well taken care of or not.
"So why did they still end up plotting against her"
How did she end up offending those she calls family.
`When did being a nice and good person became a sin` Willow thought to herself as walked aimlessly to where she parked her car.
Seated in the driver's seat, Willow placed her head on the steering wheel as she sobbed uncontrollably for about an hour before starting the car.
Willow drove the car with zero focus because all mind was on what she experienced that day.
She was lost in her own world as she drove which resulted in her unaware of the approaching truck.
By the time Willow realized what is happening, it was already too late.
The car had collided with the truck which resulted to an accident, and Willow who already isn't wearing a seat belt, was affected the most.
In this critical time, Willow only said two things which is:
`If I have the chance to live a second life then I pray it would not be in a world like this, it should be in a world, where I get to call the shots`
`Mom, I am sorry` Willow's only regret is not visiting her mother's grave once more before dying.
She said before giving in to the darkness surrounding her.
