Miles Ruppert is an adopted child taken in by Fiona Ruppert, who was infertile and desperately wanted a child.
His parents abandoned him when their house caught fire and ran with the little pennies they saved.
Fiona introduces him to the family, expecting love and acceptance but got rejection and disappointment.
As Miles grew up, he felt like the Ruppert never belonged to him. Whenever he did something, he would expect reprimand from his father, second mother and half siblings.
Seeing how their parents treated him, Gerald and Gelda, who are younger than him, treated him the same way.
Miles had thoughts to kxll himself and meet his mother, who passed away from depression and sadness two years after adopting him. The only string of warmth keeping him alive is his grandfather who accepted him.
Fiona's father in law, Terrence Ruppert, who's Miles' foster grandfather, loved and cherished him because he loved Fiona and saw her child as his.
Miles would always go to meet him and tells him about his days. Terrrence enjoyed his company and would always stroke his head or hold his face to know he's close since his sight has deteriorated.
One day, in Miles' third year in high school, he was preparing for one of his exams when a call from a hospital reached him, telling him about his grandfather.
Miles runs as fast as possible to the hospital and when he gets there, he goes inside the ward and sees his grandfather lying on the bed with monitors beeping next to him.
He immediately goes to hold his hand and speaks to him but to no avail. The doctor tells him that he suddenly lost balance and started losing breath before he collapsed.
Miles nods in response and just stays by his side until it was time to leave. When he returns home without going back to school, he walks in to his father and second mother talking about how they had done something to cause Terrence to choke and collapse.
Hearing this, he raises his voice and yells at them furiously, asking why they would do such a thing. Olivia, the twins' mother was enraged by his attitude and slaps him hard across the face.
She tells him that it was his fault for being the goody grandchild and sneaking the family assets for himself! Miles didn't understand what she meant so Stephen, his father, reveals to him that his grandfather had planned to divide his assests amongst the family, with him having 45% of it.
Miles was stunned to hear that but gets enraged that they kxlled him because of those assets. He raised his voice and yelled at them but they shut him up and abused him for cuddling his way to earning those assets.
When Stephen demands he gives them to him, Miles refused! He insists as to why he would give him the assets just because he asked.
This really annoyed Olivia so she strikes him again with another slap and pushes him to the ground. She tells him if he thinks refusing will solve anything for him. Stephen not minding what she does, calls guards to take him to the basement and torture him till he gives in.
Hearing what he ordered them to do, Miles tries to get up and run away but they catch up and hold him down.
Miles struggle for a bit then gets knocked out. When he opens his eyes, he sees Stephen picking up a whip and widens his eyes in terror.
He whipped him a hundred times then asks if he agrees to giving him the assets. Miles still refuses and swears to never yield to him and his torments.
Days, Weeks, and finally a month goes by. Miles is completely covered with scars and bruises from the daily torture. His half siblings would go see and make empathetic conversations with him, telling him to save himself by agreeing to the asset transfer.
Miles, who hasn't eaten or drank water, didn't have the strength to respond or care about their words. Seeing his lifeless reaction, the two are annoyed and take matter into their own hands.
Gerald picks up a slender looking knife and threatens to cut his fingers if he doesn't agree. Miles still ignores him. Gelda fumes in rage, takes a butcher knife and threatens to chop his arm off!
No reaction or response comes from Miles. The twins glare at him angrily then remember something. On a certain day in school, they had seen him talking shyly to a girl.
Gelda acts smug as she walks towards him then looks down at him and threatens to send a picture of himself currently to the girl.
A slight flinch reaction stems from Miles as he looks at her with an empty yet firm gaze. He states what they might be referring to.
Gerald who had seen him react, immediately goes towards him, joining in the threat that the girl might cry out of pity seeing him as he is.
Miles, slowly getting annoyed by their idiotic threats, finally lowers his head;
“Huh? What do I think about characters who face abuse on a daily? I think that they shouldn't wait for any hero to save them. It's better to take matters into their own hands and save themselves.”
Miles recalls what Rayleigh Trainer, the girl he spoke to for the first time, replied to his question. Remembering this, Miles smirks then grins and looks up at them with a vile expression.
Gelda and Gerald instantly back away a bit in fright by his expression as Miles sets his sight on the knife in Gerald's hand.
He immediately gets up, throwing away his feeling of pain and hunger, lunges towards him and pins him down with his legs. Gerald becomes absolutely terrified at the realization that he had been pinned down so swiftly!
Gelda who saw how fast he moved, falls to the ground in fear. Miles not caring about their trembling fear, looks at the knife, takes it with his mouth, throws some distance and goes to pick it up.
As soon as he did, Gelda stutters to herself about getting up and running to tell their parents, whereas Gerald had completely pissed himself from the anxiety of what he might done to him in that state.
Miles gets the knife and sets himself free. Suddenly he gets the feeling of the pain and hunger for a short while and turns to the twins. Gelda, having gathered some ounce of strength to move suddenly loses the will because of his gaze.
Miles tilts his head, stares intensively and his grin grows wider and more vicious. He is looking at them with hunger, completely engulfed by his urge to devour something.
Without a second to let them think, he lunges towards Gelda who almost screams, holds her head, smashes it on the floor harshly then keeps going until not a sound emits from her.
He smiles happily then devours her flesh and organs, tearing and chewing ever part of her body. Gerald who regained consciousness at a moment, sees him devouring her and collapses from utter shock.
Miles finishes with her and turns, looks at Gerald and licks some of the blood on his lips, still hungry. He devours him as well then uses Gelda's clothes to bandage the painful parts of himself and Gerald's clothes to cover himself since he was nude.
After his head cools down, he realizes what he's done and panics. Thinking to himself what he has done? What he has become?
But a voice echoes in his subconsciousness; “What else have you become? You've become your own savior. Now go get your vengeance Mister Hero.”
Listening to this voice, Miles grins and walks to the table with torture tools, picks some of them then turns to the door, walking towards it with vile confidence.
He walks into the living room where Stephen and Olivia were busy having their moment. They both stand up and turn seeing him, having surprised expressions on their faces.
Olivia questions how he got out and what he's doing there? Stephen, on the other hand, instantly senses something feels odd about his behavior and gaze.
Miles smiles sweetly yet maliciously as he takes out some nails from his pocket, and immediately throws them at Olivia's head!
He threw three nails which one pierced her head, her right eye and nose. Olivia's eyes widens then she screams in pain while kneeling and covering her face.
Stephen becomes afraid seeing this and turns to Miles, nervously asking him what he wants. He makes suggestions to him;
“The house, the company, the shares? Take them! They're yours! I'll gladly sign the forms if you like! Just spare me!!!”
“Spare... You...?”
Miles blinks sharply replaying those words in his head as he stops approaching him, still holding the scissors he had taken out.
He questions he should such after everything they had done to him the past month. Stephen still tries to reason with him while secretly reaching to a gun he had on himself.
Finally getting hold of it, he takes it out and shoots him with a cocky attitude like he had won but Miles had predicted his action so he deflects it with the scissors and the bullet hits Olivia.
She lets out another loud scream in pain from the scar which annoys Miles so he lowers himself, and immediately lunges towards her, instantly stabbing his hand into her right chest and crushing her heart!
Olivia gasps and chokes on her blood before passing away. Stephen stiffens in utter terror on the sight then immediately turns to escape.
Miles, who catches on, takes out the whip Stephen had always used on him to hit his legs, causing him to lose his footing. Stephen falls but tries to keep reaching to the door.
He thinks to himself that if he could get out of the door, someone would see him and call the police to save them.
“This is why you die 'Father'.”
Miles tells him in a cold chilly tone as he stabs a nail into his leg to hold him down. Stephen reacts immensely to the pain and feels serious hurt just moving an inch.
“You chose to get help when you would have survived if you took matters into your own hands.”
Finally he looks at him with an icy malicious gaze then smashes his head with a hammer, brutally crushing it!
Looking at the blood all over the floor and himself, Miles remembers his grandfather so he goes towards Stephen, takes his car keys, puts on a coat and leaves the house.
He arrives at the graveyard, walks towards the grave, kneels and sobs. He cries and whines about the things he went through and what he did against them.
As if the skies were on his side, it begun to rain so the blood on him were slowly being washed off while he cries.
“My~ is this the same weird nerdy boy who asked me about an abused character two months ago?”
Rayleigh is walking towards him with an umbrella while speaking then stops a bit close, covering him from the rain.
Miles turns and looks up at her with tears still rolling down his eyes.
“Miss Rayleigh... I don't know what to do... Nor who or what I am.”
“Hm~ then let me tell you... Mister Miles Ruppert- No, that person is gone. Now you shall become 'DEMIAN EVEREST', head leader of our organization of extraordinary beings.”
She is kneeling close and has a hand on his shoulder as she spoke those words then smiles maliciously, revealing a shift change in her eyes.
