The night was bitterly cold for people like us who are used to, sleeping under warm blankets and quilts in our cozy houses. We were asked to sleep in the tents built by us .Since, I was strictly forbidden to sleep in the cold tent (as i had cough and cold) so,i chose to sleep in one of the classrooms provided for those who cannot sleep in the tent.I took my bag and left for the classroom bidding my fellow guides good bye.It was 11:30 pm and we were ready to go to bed (if only we thought of going to bed and not telling horror stories to each other all night!).So, finally after the teachers literally forced us to go to bed we turned the lights off and pretended to go to sleep.I was very tired after the whole day of hiking, playing -talking now i wanted to relax a bit. Others who were in the room were too excited and scared to sleep in the dark classroom .One of my fellow guides started to narrate a ghost story .Great now they will talk and i won't be able to sleep, was my only thought at that time.I turned on the other side facing the wall and tried to sleep .I was almost drowning into my foodie dreams when suddenly someone tickled my feet. What the choco fudge!I was startled at first but I did not move .The person who was doing it , did it again and I gave a hearty slap in her hand and that was enough to make her regret her act.She stopped and I tried to sleep again. The girl who was telling the story was almost at the end of her story of...A six feet tall black shadow... when suddenly two of the girls of our classroom decided to go out as one of them was getting nature's immediate call. The guide captains were on a very last night stroll to check if all were asleep, so these two girls carefully went out without making noise. The storyteller of our room was at the climax of her story,“...The shadow was just behind...about to…” when suddenly we heard a loud scream from outside and all of the girls in my room started "AAHHHH!!!!! "and I sadly told my sleep …good bye.I was already having a headache and this 'scream as you like ' was to make my headache go bonkers!!!As expected, the guide captains were awake,as we could hear the whistling outside. All the guides who were in the tents were awake and screaming without knowing the reason for the first scream .All the guide captains who lost their liberty to sleep gave a good scolding to all those who screamed. The two girls who went to the washroom at nature's call were back sneaking from the door and told us that one girl from the tent went to washroom alone and she was the one screaming because she claimed to saw something black on the stairs which fell on the way to the washroom.I heard till this and went off to sleep. At 4 am I woke up at the whispering sound of the girl sleeping beside me.She was sleep talking so turned the opposite side to go off to sleep , when I heard a whistle sound.I did not pay much heed to it and after five minutes of trying to sleep, i finally failed to sleep so i decided to wake up and finish brushing teeth when slowly i saw others were up and ready to go for guide duties that were to be done that day. Everyone was talking about last night's 'ghost' which scared the heck out of everyone and took my headache with it as well!Amidst everything I couldn't understand one thing. If the guide captains woke up after us who blew the whistle at 4am then?
