One day he died — killed by one of humanity’s own mechanical creations, along with many others.
In the final instant between life and death he glimpsed the Focal Point, and it whispered back.
His soul descended into the Lake of Forneverness.
After an indeterminate period (t_P), another entity — the Hand of Freedom, Salvation, Boundlessness, Self-Will, and “I Alone AM” — reached in, claimed his soul, and placed it into a new world: Uzermhy.

The hollow one opened her eyes beneath a crimson moon dripping blood.
She lay in a scarlet-rose garden: roses with weapon-like thorns, petals falling upward defying gravity, a nearby river singing with nymph voices.
In the water’s reflection: long white hair, heterochromia (right eye violent violet, left eye molten gold bleeding into electric blue), and a name rising on the surface — Sharlet, the Cardinal Eclatos.
Darkness swallowed her one last time.
Then light, a newborn’s cry, and Sharlet was born into the castle of Duke Veldacear.
