The aquarium glowed like a secret world.
Blue light wrapped around them as if the ocean itself had decided to keep their love hidden. Fish drifted above the glass tunnel, slow and graceful, but Kookie’s heart was anything but calm.
She kept glancing at V—tall, confident, effortlessly magnetic—who walked beside her with hands in her pockets, eyes sharp yet soft whenever they landed on Kookie.
“Why are you staring?” V asked, amused.
Kookie jumped, then laughed nervously. “I’m not—okay, maybe a little.”
V stopped walking.
That alone made Kookie’s breath hitch.
V turned fully toward her, one hand lifting to gently trap Kookie between herself and the cool glass wall. Sharks passed overhead, shadows sliding across their faces.
“You’re cute when you’re excited,” V murmured.
Kookie swallowed. “You make me excited.”
The words slipped out before she could stop them.
V’s smile turned slow. Dangerous.
Her fingers tilted Kookie’s chin up, just enough. “Good.”
Their lips didn’t meet right away. V took her time—hovering close, letting Kookie feel the heat, the tension, the want. When she finally kissed her, it was deep but controlled, claiming without rushing.
Kookie melted instantly.
Her hands fisted into V’s shirt as a soft sound escaped her lips, completely unaware of the world around them.
V pulled back just slightly. “Already this affected?”
Kookie nodded, cheeks flushed. “You do this on purpose.”
“Always,” V whispered.
Later – The Water Park
The shift was instant.
From soft blue shadows to bright sunlight, laughter, and splashing water.
Kookie was practically bouncing as she ran toward the slides. “V! Look at this one! And this one! Oh—can we do that together?”
V watched her with arms crossed, eyes dark with affection. Wet hair, excited grin, water clinging to her skin—Kookie was irresistible like this.
“You’re having too much fun,” V said.
Kookie grabbed her wrist, tugging. “Come on! Don’t be boring.”
V leaned down close to her ear. “Careful… keep pulling me like that and I won’t be responsible for what happens after.”
Kookie froze—then blushed hard.
“…You’re unfair.”
But she didn’t let go.
They rode the slide together, Kookie squealing, laughing, clinging to V the whole way down. When they hit the water, Kookie surfaced first, breathless and glowing.
“That was amazing!”
V surfaced right behind her, hands settling confidently on Kookie’s waist beneath the water. The touch was firm, grounding—possessive without being rough.
“Still excited?” V asked quietly.
Kookie nodded, biting her lip. “More than before.”
V leaned in, forehead touching hers. “Good. I like you like this. Happy. Open. Mine.”
Kookie’s heart raced.
In the lazy river, Kookie rested against V’s chest, floating slowly as sunlight danced on the water. She traced lazy circles on V’s arm, suddenly shy again.
“You’re quiet now,” V said.
Kookie smiled softly. “I’m just… comfortable.”
V pressed a kiss to her temple. “That’s even better.”
As the day faded, laughter softened into quiet closeness. Wet hair, tired smiles, fingers still intertwined.
Under water and sky, thrill and calm,
they fit—perfectly.
