It was around 2:47a.m. when Selene's phone buzzed.
A notification.
" Don't scream . Just look at your window . "
Her stomach dropped . She lived on the 7th floor of her apartment building. Nobody could be standing at her window.
Her heart racing,she slowly turned her head . The curtains fluttered from the night breeze . For a moment, she saw nothing. Then- just for a second-she swore she saw pale outline of a hand pressing against the glass from the outside.
She froze. Her phone buzzed again.
"You shouldn't have moved the curtain.
Her blood ran cold . She quickly shut her eyes , thinking it had to be some sick prank. After all , her friends often joked about her fear of the dark .
But then the third message came.
"I've been sitting behind you this whole time . The window was just a distraction."
Selene's breath caught in her throat. She didn't dare turn around.The room was silent... except for the faint creak of her bed as if extra weight had just settled in.
The next morning, her phone was found on the floor. The last thing on the screen was her half-typed reply :
"Who are y-"
