Chapter 4 __ My Work __

Days passed, nights came over and over,
everything felt the same.
Since then,
RiiAa hadn’t dreamed of her mother again.
(Though secretly, she still wished to.)

[ The next day | 7:30 A.M. | At the Bus Stop ]
RiiAa boards the bus, sitting in the last row.
She watches a cute little girl talking excitedly to her mother:
“Mom, I want to go to the island with mountains and waterfalls and butterflies! I want to live there someday!”
The mother smiles warmly:
“Let’s make a promise. Mommy will take you there.”
RiiAa smiles too.
It reminds her of her own childhood — her mother used to take her to the mountains to relax.
She used to love climbing trees, hearing the birds, and feeling the soft wind.

[Ding! Bus Stop]
RiiAa arrives at her company:
Nova Architect & Interior.
She’s known as a hard-working, smart girl —someone everyone can trust with projects.

[Later | 11:00 A.M.]
During a company meeting,
the boss announces:
“Everyone worked hard. You’ll all get one week of vacation!”
After the meeting,
RiiAa prepares for her next part-time job.

[1:00 P.M.]
She arrives at the Dazzling Hotel for her second job,
working from 1:15 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Everyone at the hotel knows her as a clever, reliable worker.

After finishing work at 8:15 P.M.,
instead of taking the bus,
RiiAa decides to walk home.
Step by step,
she feels the cool night air.
She thinks:
“Time flies. Some people change. Some never do.”
At home by 8:40 P.M.,
she changes clothes, eats dinner,
then studies and researches until midnight —
just like she does every day.
