'Today I'm going to confess to him. I hope he accepts my proposal.' A girl was walking hurriedly with a rose in her hands. Today she is going to propose to her best friend whom she has liked for a long time.
She looked around 'Ah! There he is.' Her eyes brightened upon noticing him.
"King!" She called out to him.
He turned around hearing her voice.
"Eva I have something I have to tell you." he said.
'Is he also...' she thought excitedly.
"Hmm me too, I also have something I have to say to you. You say first." I looked at him happily.
"I'm going to confess to Morana" he said excitedly.
I froze looking at him and my smile faltered.
"You know I have been liking her for the last one year, and now I'm going to confess to her. I hope she'll accept me."
'What about me? I've liked you from the last five years.' she thought, broken from inside but still her face didn't show any of this.
"Wish me luck Eva" he said.
"Good luck King." she whispered as she watched him leaving from there.
She turned around and started going towards her room.
"Evelyn where are you going?" I saw our best friends Anna and Steven coming towards me.
I didn't say anything and continued to walk forward.
"Evy wait, what's wrong? Weren't you going to tell about your feelings to Rey." asked Anna looking concerned about my condition?
"He is going to confess to Morana" I said emotionlessly then walked away from there.
"Shit..." cursed Steven and then rushed to Rey.
I went into my room and closed the door. Then stood in front of my mirror.
'Look what happened when you controlled yourself. You should have told him earlier, then lock him up so that he can't run away.'
"Shut up"
'Now he'll be with Morana'
"SHUT UP!!!"
'You'll just watch from the side as they spend their life together'
"SHUT UP I SAID!!!!!"
*CRASH*
I smashed the mirror with my fist. It broke into several pieces and fell down. My hand was a bloody mess and blood was flowing from it.
After hearing the noise from my room Anna and Steven rushed inside.
"EVY!!!"
"Have you gone crazy. Why are you hurting yourself again for him."
"If I don't do this then it will be that Morana who is dead or King who is locked up by me." I said calmly.
"Be quiet" she said as she started dressing my wound.
"Evelyn your obsession with him is increasing day by day, and it is just doing harm to you. Why don't you forget about him." said Steven.
"Go out both of you" I told them.
They looked at me worriedly but went out and closed the door.
"Forget him. How can I forget him when he is my light and my king." I fell asleep thinking about all this.
(Next day)
I woke up in the afternoon. After reaching downstairs I saw him sitting with Morana in the living room.
My eyes widened 'How could he bring her here?'
"King" I whispered to him loudly then held his hand and dragged him away from there.
"Are you nuts? How can you bring her here. Did you forget that all the information related to our base is kept here." I asked him shocked by his behavior.
"Don't worry Eva, she loves me and I believe in her." he replied breaking my heart.
"You trust a person so much just after knowing her for a year. What if she is a spy or..."
He stopped me from saying it. "Don't talk bad about her Eva, I trust her a lot." he said coldly and went away.
"Hah! Now you believe her more than me."
I left the mansion and went to the university alone.
The whole day my mood was off, so nobody approached me. While coming back I saw Morana sneaking to the backside of the university and followed her.
"Yeah he believes me completely now. Don't worry I'll get the work done." She was talking to someone on the phone
"So I was right, you really are a spy." I looked at her coldly.
"So what. It's not like My Rey will believe you if you told him." she said smirking at me.
"Just you wait" I said and went away from there.
I was about to leave when a boy came to me "Evelyn I like you, Can you go out with me."
"Sorry I don't like you because I already have someone I like." I replied.
"Then.... then can you be my friend?" he asked.
"Alright" I said after thinking for a few seconds.
"Then friends" he forwarded his hand.
I was going to shake his hand when my hand suddenly got grabbed by someone.
I heard a cold voice from behind "Sorry she doesn't like skin contact with strangers" then he dragged me away.
"Rey stop, what are you doing?"
"Why did you allow him to touch you?"
"We were just going to shake hands."
"You aren't allowed to."
"Why jealous?" I mocked him though I was expectant feom inside.
"Don't let others touch you casually."
I snapped at him "Who do you think you are?" I shook off his hand and went away.
After this we didn't talk to each other for a month but Anna and Steven kept me updated about Rey's situation.

'So the thing is I've liked Rey for a long time. I saw him six years ago. Our parents were in the same Mafia gang 'Death Night'. His parents were the Mafia King and Mafia Queen and my parents were their Right and Left Guards. One day their base got attacked as there was a traitor who leaked their location to the Serpent gang and their leader took the opportunity and killed them. Our parents died protecting each other. At their funeral, I saw him for the first time, and he was kneeling down looking straight at their graves, even when everyone went away he knelt their motionless. I walked to him and patted his shoulder and he turned to look at me.
"Rey" I said.
"Our parents were best friends, and I've heard them mentioning you." I replied as if sensing the confusion in his gaze.
He again looked away but this time his fists and jaw were clenching as if he was controlling himself from breaking down.
I knelt down beside him then forwarded my hands to hug him. Seeing that he wasn't rejecting me, I hugged him.
"You know, you can cry if you want. I won't look at you." I said gently as I patted his head
He didn't say anything just knelt there without moving. After ten minutes I felt my shoulder getting wet and heard faint sobs.
"It's okay" I said as I continued to soothe him. Though he was hugging me tightly, and I felt like my bones were going to get crushed.
After half an hour he finally calmed down.
"What's your name?" he asked me in a hoarse voice.
"Evelyn" I replied.
Then he stood up. I was going to stand but stumbled as my feet were numb from kneeling down. He caught me and brought me back to the mansion.
The next day we realized that we were in the same school. I decided to ask him to shift to the main mansion where our parents lived sometimes. Surprisingly he agreed.
We started to live together. Though he was cold at first, he started to warm up to me. Then we met Anna and Steven who also joined us. Without me realizing I started having feelings for him. I thought I was fine after mom dad's death but no, I was wrong. I had developed a fear that Rey would leave me just like my parents, so I used to stay with him all the time, and he also depended on me. Slowly this fear of mine had turned into something more. He has become my obsession. But I can't let him know, or he'll get hurt.
Somehow Anna and Steven got to know about it as they saw me hurting myself.
It's been five years. I like him a lot but it looks like he doesn't.

"Guys our location got exposed, we need to leave." Steven informed us through the earpiece while we were doing our mission.
