I don't really have another safe place to post my opinion so I will post it here. The whole controversy is completely ridiculous in my opinion.
First off, there is no direct proof of him pushing her to the brink of death. All the evidence shared so far is just confirming the fact that they dated. I am not saying that dating a minor is acceptable but the hate sent his way is based off of the assumption that he dated her and then caused her death. The cased death being the more severe allegation in this scenario.
Of all the dating evidences, there is no evidence of domestic abuse or emotional abuse when dating. They have shared some chats outlining how Sae Ron asked for a bit more time to pay off her debts but they ignored her plies for help. However, if the time-line in the allegations is correct, both of them had broken up then. You anyone reply back to their ex? In most cases they don't especially not if the break-up was not an amicable one. In their case allegedly the break-up was a result of Sae Ron's controversy. A man ruthless enough to break-up after your controversy, why would he answer back to your texts for help after the break-up?
People are being ridiculous by jumping the guns in my opinion. They do this for most controversies in the k-industry. (It might all be water army but I am just discussing assuming those are real people commenting) They did the same thing for Sae Ron and bullied her relentlessly despite her efforts to amend things. Song Hye Kyo was bullied after the divorce announcement only to later realize she was not at fault whatsoever. Countless other examples remain in the k-industry of bullying people without knowing solid facts and then regretting. Why can't the fans and passer-by people be a bit more rational for a change?
I am not defending the guy. All I am saying is, don't give him pity, don't give him hate just wait till you have concrete evidence to point at him (evidence that can be held in court). He might not be punished by law then(capitalist shit), but atleast we know that he truly was the culprit and we are not harming the innocent (atleast not blaming him for something he clearly didn't do).
The second thing that irks me is why are there no call-out reels, shorts, media reports for her parents/legal guardian. It is a known fact that the contract she signed with his company was an unfair one. Capitalist co.pany tend to make unfair contracts all the time. Even if it doesn't make it any less wrong, what was her guardian doing when they agreed to this unfair contract? Why are you only crying for injustice now? Even when she received immense hate, the chats show her mentioning that she will pay off with her future works. What were these bunch of family giving out interview after interview saying how she was wronged, doing then? Why not help her financially or even give her the basic family support? Don't tell me it was a huge amount. There are no credible sources saying that her family is very poor so even if not rich, they are a well to do family. Even if you can't support the whole burden (not that you are obliged to) did they even share a portion of it? Where was this loving family when their daughter was getting all the hate in the world even after trying to make amends in good faith?
Let's say they kept silent because she asked them to so as not to tarnish their reputation (I don't believe it but can be a possible phenomenon explaining their absence during this part of the drama) If so, this says that their relationship was good and they were aware of all the things Kim Soo Hyun was doing to their daughter holding back only for her sake (again probable assumption to justify the actions). But why did they not submit all the evidence directly to the police fater her death? Why let the hate and this topic of their beloved daughter's death ferment over the internet? If you have concrete proof, submit to the court right now when everyone is focused on it(assuming they are afraid that their presented evidence will be swept under the rugs cause he is a big name in the industry now is the best time). People are on their side why is keeping them from going all out? From outside, their concern looks superficial and with an hidden agenda to me.
Again in no way does this conclude that Kim Soo Hyun is innocent. But if you are going to bash one, why aren't you basing the other? One who was legally obliged to take care of Sae Ron when she was underage and hypothetically taken advantage by the big bad wolf Kim Soo Hyun. The legal guardian failed to keep her safe for years and is only now feigning injustice, why not call him out? This is a classic example of 'the pot calling the kettle black.' I am not trying to spread hate, but if someone fails to see my perspective in the start of the video, I am just curious of these double standards of spreading hate.
At this point I am sick and tired of all the videos that are fed to me on all the social media platforms about this topic (I tried blocking these videos but they keep on popping up in my feed) and J decided to rant here. Because clearly everyone on social media is either blindly hating or blindly supporting both of which is not okay in my opinion
