A white, game-like effect enveloped Seo as he slew his 30th goblin, making it seem like he was leveling up. However, Ai's feats went unnoticed by the crowd, as he had single-handedly taken down over 50 goblins using his AK-47 assault rifle and a box of bullets.
Inspired by the duo's bravery, the onlookers joined the fight, using whatever they could find as weapons.
*Ai muttered to himself.*
Ai: "Shoot, I'm out of bullets in this box."
He fired his last shot, taking out another goblin, before quickly stashing the rifle in his bag.
As he zipped the bag shut, Ai rushed towards Seo and asked for the knife. Seo handed it over, though he couldn't shake off his doubts about Ai.
Ai grabbed the knife and spotted a child holding a slingshot nearby. He took the slingshot, placed the knife between the rubber bands, and held it in place with his bare hand.
Just then, a large goblin emerged from the dungeon. Ai stood firm, a hint of a smile on his face.
Ai: *"I knew you'd come out"*
*Ai thought to himself.*
With a swift motion, Ai pulled back the slingshot and released it, sending the knife flying into the big goblin's forehead, killing it instantly.
*Ai quipped*
Ai: "Taste sweet, huh?"
Seo turned around, astonished, wondering how Ai had predicted the big goblin's arrival.
*Seo smiled softly, thinking Ai was a fortune teller.*
Seo: *"I'm going to learn a thing or two from this kid"*
*Seo thought.*
Seo: "He's probably a genius."
*Just then, Ai warned.*
Ai: "Seo, don't zone out! An enemy is coming for you!!!"
Seo quickly dodged the goblin's attack and counterattacked, slaying the last enemy. As the final goblin fell, the dungeon began to disappear, popping like a bubble.
*Seo's eyes narrowed, puzzled.*
Seo: *"How did this child know my name? I never introduced myself, and he didn't mention my name when he offered me the Katana and Knife. Just how...?"*
*Seo's thoughts trailed off, a shiver running down his spine.*
*"I feel like he's someone who's been by my side, watching me from afar, and knows me intimately."*
