Eva stared at the physics textbook like it had personally offended her. The formulas blurred together, mocking her with their unnecessary complexity. Who even needed this in real life? Was she building a spaceship? No. She just wanted to pass.
Adam walked in, munching on a bag of chips, completely unbothered. "Studying, huh? Bold of you to assume it'll help."
Eva threw a pen at him. "Shut up, traitor. At least I’m trying."
Adam dodged like a pro and flopped onto the bed. "Trying? Girl, you’ve been staring at that page for twenty minutes. The only thing you’re trying is your patience."
Eva groaned dramatically. "Okay, hear me out. What if I, I don’t know, fake my own disappearance? Just for the exam. Nothing serious."
Adam snorted. "Yeah, because you disappearing would be so believable. Where would you even go? The fridge?" Eva sighed. "Okay, Plan B: Cheat."
Adam gasped theatrically. "You? Cheat? Oh no, what would the universe say?" "Bro, the universe failed me first. This is self-defense."
They both cackled, but deep down, Eva knew she was doomed. She had two options: actually study or wing it with pure luck. And considering her history with luck… yeah, she was gonna need a miracle .
