As soon as their hands touched, Alexa felt a spark of attraction that she couldn't ignore. She quickly pulled her hand away, trying to brush off the feeling.
Richard, however, seemed to notice the tension between them. His eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.
"Great," Richard said finally, breaking the silence. "So, we have a deal."
Alexa nodded, trying to compose herself. "Yes, we do."
Richard grinned. "Good. I'll pick you up at 7pm on Friday if I win."
Alexa's eyes widened in alarm. "You're assuming you're going to win."
Richard chuckled. "I'm not assuming anything. I'm just confident."
Alexa rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Let's just focus on the competition."
Richard nodded. "Game on."
As they parted ways, Alexa couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She was determined to win, but a part of her was also curious about what would happen if she lost.
