Alexa's eyes locked onto Richard's, her mind racing with possibilities. What could he mean by "something more"?
"I'm listening," she said, her voice cautious.
Richard's smile grew wider. "Let's talk outside."
Alexa hesitated for a moment, but her curiosity got the better of her. She nodded, and Richard dropped his hand from her arm.
As they walked out of the classroom, Alexa couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What was Richard planning?
They stopped outside the school building, near a quiet courtyard. Richard leaned against a wall, his eyes fixed on Alexa.
"I have to admit, I'm impressed," he said. "You're a tough competitor."
Alexa raised an eyebrow. "Thanks, I think."
Richard chuckled. "No, seriously. I like a good challenge. And you're definitely providing that."
Alexa's eyes narrowed. "What do you want, Richard?"
Richard's smile faltered for a moment, and Alexa caught a glimpse of something more serious beneath.
"I want to make a deal with you," he said. "Let's make this competition interesting."
Alexa's heart skipped a beat. What kind of deal could Richard possibly have in mind?
