Alexa stormed into the classroom, her long, curly brown hair bouncing with each step. She was determined to ace her math test and solidify her position as valedictorian.
As she slid into her seat, her gaze collided with a pair of piercing blue eyes belonging to Richard, the new transfer student. Rumors swirled that he was a genius, and Alexa's competitive spirit flared.
"Looks like we've got some competition," Richard whispered, his lips curling into a sly smile.
Alexa's eyes narrowed. "I'm not worried."
