“No matter how many times I leave, I always find my way back to you.”
Jungkook was a time traveler. A wanderer through the past and future, cursed with a life that never stayed in one era for too long.
Taehyung was an immortal. A being untouched by time, cursed to watch everything around him decay while he remained unchanged.
Their love was cruel.
Jungkook would arrive in different centuries, always finding Taehyung waiting for him. In a silk robe beneath cherry blossoms, in a war-torn battlefield with blood on his hands, in a neon-lit city with sorrow in his eyes. And every time, Taehyung would smile, as if he had been waiting forever.
“Do you remember me?” Jungkook would ask.
“How could I forget?” Taehyung would whisper.
But it was never enough.
Jungkook was never allowed to stay. Time would pull him away, wrenching him from Taehyung’s arms, leaving the immortal alone once again.
Centuries passed.
Each time they met, Taehyung looked the same—beautiful, unchanging. But his eyes grew heavier, burdened by the weight of eternity.
One night, in a world where the stars burned colder, Jungkook found him standing on the edge of a cliff.
“I can’t do this anymore.” Taehyung’s voice was barely a whisper. “I have lived too long, Jungkook. And you… you always leave.”
Jungkook clenched his fists. “You think I want to leave you? You think I don’t fight every second to stay?” His voice broke. “But time doesn’t listen to me, Taehyung. It never has.”
Taehyung turned, tears glistening. “Then let this be the last time.”
Jungkook’s breath caught. “What do you mean?”
A sad smile. A step forward. A hand pressed against Jungkook’s chest.
“If you have to leave, then take me with you.”
Time cracked.
For the first time, it listened.
The universe bent as Jungkook grasped Taehyung’s hand, pulling him into the storm of shifting years.
And this time, Taehyung didn’t have to wait.
This time, they would be lost together.
