Rose and Liam were two childhood friends and their mothers were close knitted too. Liam's mom, Berty used to visit them on every Saturday while waiting for their kids to come from tuition. And Rose's mom, Andy liked her company.This continued for a few years before the hormones clicked.
While in 8th standard, Liam fell in love with Rose. He asked her to be his girlfriend but she rejected quite a number of times. After that, he insisted. Rose said that their parents won't be thrilled and Andy would never approve of Liam being her partner. Liam said that he'll handle about the future and Berty would like Rose to be his partner. In the end, Rose finally agreed. They were just friends as usual, just a bit more close. They wanted to keep their relationship private and didn't tell anyone about it except Rose's bestfriend. But about a month later, Rose thought that their relationship could ruin the friendship of their moms and decided to breakup. Though they remained friends.
After a year and again, when they were in 9th grade, Liam and Rose both liked eachother and went into a relationship. This time, the whole school and teachers knew. But, due to some backbitching friends and their narrow minded parents, a huge issue was created. Rose was grounded by her mom. Andy was extremely disappointed in Rose. Berta didn't mind but she was tensed due to those friends. Liam and Rose were still friends but they weren't allowed to talk. So, the distance grew. Therefore, they got busy with their own lives.
After a year and half, their tutor took them on a trip out of town. Liam and Rose, along with their friends were there. Something clicked in both of them because this time, after more than 1.5 year, they talked Directly. Liam hung out with Rose, as a protector. Infact, on new year's eve, he asked her to be his girlfriend once again. They were in 10th grade now. Rose politely declined, mentioning the trauma she had earlier. Liam agreed and didn't push her.
Now, they don't talk anymore. Maybe it's for the best? Did Liam love her or like her? Did Rose love Liam or the way he loved her?
