Ethan's eyes locked onto hers, and Aurora felt like he could see right through her. "I want to know about the babies," he said. "My babies."
Aurora's heart was racing. How did he know? And what did he want with her children?
Aurora's eyes locked onto Ethan's, her heart racing with fear and uncertainty. "What do you mean, 'my babies'?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
Ethan's expression was calm and collected, but Aurora could sense a hint of tension beneath the surface. "I mean that I'm the father," he said, his voice firm and authoritative. "And I have rights."
Aurora felt a surge of panic. She had been dreading this moment, fearing that Ethan would try to take her babies away from her. "You don't even know me," she said, trying to reason with him. "You don't know anything about me or my babies."
Ethan's eyes narrowed. "I know that I'm the father," he repeated. "And I know that I want to be involved in their lives."
Aurora felt a lump form in her throat. She didn't know what to say, didn't know how to react. All she knew was that she had to protect her babies.
"I don't want you involved," she said finally, trying to sound firm and resolute. "I don't want you anywhere near my babies."
