" Then I won't be your brother!" Alexander growled at Jason " I don't want to be your brother, I never wanted that!"
Jason froze up. He stared dead into Alexander's haunting green eyes.
" Wh...what did you just say?"
" Eight years brother, it's been eight years. " Alexander let go of Jason and moved back for fear that he might do something he'll regret " Do you know how hard I've been holding myself back? You're extremely vigilant about everything but you were oblivious to my feelings.
" I held myself back since I was seventeen, I thought it'll be fine as long as I stay by your side. I was fine with whatever position I got cause I know you'll never open your heart to someone nor get married, so it was fine. I knew I had zero chance of occupying that position either but I was fine with that too.
" But I was wrong. I couldn't stay by your side and even left you for seven years." Alexander clenched his fist
"I....I almost forgot about you. I couldn't remember your name, I couldn't remember your face, my memories and nightmares were in black and white. But that didn't stop me from loving you either.
" It didn't stop me from trying to break free from that hell i was in, just to return to you. If I have to do everything I've done, if I have to go through everything I've gone through all over again, just to protect you, I will. Cause the one I love is you and only you.

Jason stood dumbstruck and slightly dazed as he stared at his brother whose eyes were blazing with anger and heartache.
This was the situation he was trying to avoid. He knew if Alexander confesses, there's no going back! Alexander is someone who never gives up on things and once he makes up his mind, even Jason finds it hard to convince him.
This is not something he can convince him about. This is not something Alexander will give up on, after all, he's being in love with Jason for almost a decade!
Jason shut his eyes and tried to calm himself down as silence reigned in the living room. For some reason, the left side of his chest was aching terribly. He opened his eyes and hardened his gaze.
" Alexander. I'll pretend I didn't hear any of that. I'll forego what you did to Steve Killian and I'll forget everything you just said now. Don't try to-"
" Ah! " Alexander bursted into laughter but Jason could feel the pain behind it " You want me to bury my feelings? Did you even pay attention to anything I said. You think this is a joke or something I said on impulse?
