Once, a God lived happily with his wife and his kids. As he thought that nothing could ever break the contentment in his life, a single mishap led to everything in his life being destroyed. A sudden invasion on his empire has killed all of his worshippers and brutally beheaded his wife and his kids to outpower him. However, little did these enemies know that the mighty God would disclose his long-hidden powers. The power he had hid to only use in such heavy invasions from enemies and disbelievers. The God brutally slaughtered all his enemies and left no mortal breathing in his empire. The death of his family changed God’s celestial and sacred principles and led the higher Gods to kick him out of the realm of all Gods. After being thrown out of their realm, the grieving God was thrown to the mortal world as a penalty along with his substantial powers being sealed leaving him with a single ability left. The power that was left in him was being able to shapeshift.
800 years passed by, and the God continued living in the mortal world. He had mourned and encountered all the things he thought he would never go through. He goes through everything that mortals experience in their everyday vitalities like poverty, robbing, swearing, and even trying to kill himself. As he experienced all of these, the God met a man who he had never encountered before. A man full of sorrow and grief, just like the God himself when his family died and lost everything he once had. The God secretly followed the man everywhere he went to be able to understand and try to befriend him. As the days passed, the man slowly started to notice the God following him. So he decided to confront the God as soon as he saw him again. Yet the God seemed to play with him. Every time he sees the God, the God runs away and disappears in thin air like some kind of sorcerer. One night, the God finally showed himself to the man, making up a fake identity and introducing himself to the mortal.
The mortal introduced himself as well and asked the God why he kept on following him. The God explained that he had caught a special interest in the man, and that’s why he followed him wherever he went so he could introduce himself. The man didn’t find any sense in what the God said but decided to disregard it. As the days went by, the two grew closer to each other and discovered a lot of things in common between themselves. The mortal also unraveled that the man he always is with was a God that had been thrown from the God’s realm, yet he decided to keep quiet and wait until the God himself revealed it to him. The God however has noticed himself growing unexpected feelings towards the mortal he is always with. The God, aware of what he is feeling, accepted that he had already fallen for the mortal. Years passed and the God never confessed his feelings to the mortal. He kept it and treasured his feelings like red roses that he would always pick from the forests and gift them to him.
The mortal unaware of what the gifts secretly meant, accepted the gifts with compassion. However, as time passed, the mortal seemed to develop feelings for the God as well. Yet neither of them confessed anything to each other, scared that both would be disavowed by one another. Both of them decided to love each other in secret, neither of the two had any idea of how they felt towards each other. The two living away from the villages has caught the villager’s attention. The villagers accused the two of them for being sorcerers and decided to burn their house down as soon as they leave. The two unaware of the villager’s plans, enjoyed themselves as they swam and played in the nearby river. As the sun went down and they headed back, the scene that welcomed them left them stunned and shattered. The burning scenery of their house burning in a huge flame made the mortal drop in his knees while the God watched his beloved shed tears as he watched the burning flames. The God was enraged.
The God knowing who caused the fire, decided to take revenge. He used his ability to shapeshift to lure the villager’s children and burn them alive, letting their family hear their cries. The villagers were scared and swiftly moved out of the village to find a safer place to build a new one. Yet the God was unsatisfied. He felt dreadful as he watched his beloved slowly kill himself by starving, and the God didn’t want this to happen. He decided to burn all the villagers into ashes and brought his beloved to watch the scenery. The mortal felt a hint of comfort as the God held him on his shoulders while he watched the villagers cry for help. Only then did he realize that both of them had felt the same towards each other.
