It was a quiet Wednesday night at BigHit’s practice room, or at least it was supposed to be quiet. BTS had wrapped up rehearsals, and most of the members were ready to call it a night – except for Jungkook, who had just discovered the studio’s new sound effects board.
While everyone else packed up their bags, Jungkook was fully engrossed, testing every single button, and unleashing a symphony of random sounds: air horns, laser blasts, and even a very unfortunate “toilet flush” noise that had Jimin wincing every time it went off.
“Jungkook, please,” Jin groaned, “some of us need peace to maintain our visual genius.”
But Jungkook, with a mischievous grin, was unstoppable. He hit a button that made an ominous "dun dun duuun" sound and looked over at RM, giving him a dramatic stare as if he were about to reveal a deep, dark secret. “Hyung, did you eat my banana milk?”
RM rolled his eyes, “Jungkook, if I drank it, I’d admit it. But for the last time, it wasn’t me!”
Jungkook squinted, unconvinced, and turned his attention to V. V, who had been taking a quick nap against the mirrors, suddenly jolted awake as Jungkook pressed a sound labeled “elephant trumpet.”
“Why is there an elephant?” V mumbled, still half-asleep, looking around in genuine confusion.
Then, as if fate decided to join the chaos, Suga strolled back into the room holding a bag of gummy bears, fully intending to stay under the radar. But as he reached for one, the room went silent – too silent. Jungkook, seizing the moment, hit a button labeled “Dramatic Reveal.”
Everyone turned to see Suga, halfway through popping a gummy bear in his mouth, looking like he’d just been caught in a crime scene.
“What? I was hungry,” he muttered, clearly unbothered.
But J-Hope took the moment as seriously as Jungkook did. “Min Yoongi-ssi, are you aware gummy bears are exclusively for after-dinner snacking?”
Suga’s deadpan response? “It is after dinner. I ate 30 minutes ago.”
The room burst into laughter as Jungkook hit the “applause” sound effect, doubling the hilarity. By the time they managed to actually leave the practice room, they had a list of new inside jokes, including RM’s “Banana Milk Theft” and Suga’s official title as Gummy Bear Detective.
And somewhere in the back of the van on the way home, Jungkook was already scheming his next soundboard pranks, much to everyone else’s half-dread, half-excitement.
