Picking a cup of coffee early in the morning. Cora sat by the window, sipping her favorite cup of espresso. She had been coming in the Café every saturday and sunday morning for months, lost in her routine of reading books and watching the window outside. While, she didn't know that across the room. Hailey, A barista. a black silky hair with a shy smile, had been noticing her just as long.
Hailey had always been the quiet type, she would speak in a low tone and hummed while making a espresso then cleaning the machine afterwards. she wouldn't engaged such long conversation. But there was something about Cora. The way she would looked at the window tucked her hair behind her ear when she was so focused on a book, smiling constantly when she read and stared at the window again.
Cut her attention each other day she'd make her drink with extra care hoping she would notice.
One day as Cora would usually ask for her morning caffeine, she noticed a small note folded beneath the cup in a neat handwriting it read "𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚗𝚎𝚎𝚍 𝚊 𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗. 𝙸 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚢𝚘𝚞 -𝙷"
She knew who it was. Cora glance up and met Hailey's eyes across the counter. She was cleaning up the table but nervously glands her way, her cheeks flushing slightly she smiled feeling a little bit braver than usual. Cora smiled at her waving her little hands and mouthed "𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪."Cora smiled and left, leaving Hailey with a smile and a tomato face.
The next saturday, she came early. Hailey who was already there arranging pastries as she handed Cora's espresso along side with a wrapped book "𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚," Hailey said, smiling at her.
From the moment a quite a sweet connection between them. Every saturday and sunday, they would exchange books, notes, and glances. Overtime, the shy exchanges turn into long conversation, the cafe become their special world—a place where a simple love blossom, slow but sure...
In just like that, A spark that started with the note turn into something beautiful....
