The wind whispered softly through the leaves in the small garden where Sylva, Jorianna, and Shaenaya usually gathered.
𝑇𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔!
Jorianna's cell phone notification rang, she immediately opened her cell phone to see who sent her the message.
"Naya! Reza just replied to my message," Jorianna said excitedly. "He agreed to do a double date this weekend!"
Shaenaya, who was sitting next to her, also became enthusiastic.
"Huh? Really? Yes! So that means it's a deal, this weekend?" Shaenaya took her phone out of her skirt pocket to tell her boyfriend. "Then, I'll tell Fazar first," she added.
Sylva, who was sitting in front of the brand, smiled slightly as she looked at her two friends. The two best friends had found their love partners, something they had once talked about with great enthusiasm. Now, their conversations are more often about their respective boyfriends, and Sylva feels increasingly left out.
Jorianna and Shaenaya are still chatting about their plans for the weekend, and are unaware of Sylva's feelings of being ignored.
"Sorry, you two, I have to go now. My mother asked me to come home before 3 o'clock to help her," Sylva said softly, trying to hide her loneliness.
"Ah, yeah, go ahead. See you tomorrow, Syl." Shaenaya said, didn't even bother to look at Sylva.
Sylva nodded, although in her heart she still doubted whether things could go back to the way they were. She had seen how love could change everything, including friendships that have existed for many years.
Days passed, and although the three of them still got together occasionally, there was an inevitable distance between them.
Every time they met, the conversation always returned to the same topic: Jorianna and Shaenaya are busy talking about their bf, while Sylva just listened, trying to stay involved but feeling increasingly disconnected.
"Naya, you should see the gift Reza gave me yesterday," said Jorianna while showing a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. "He really knows how to make me feel special!"
Shaenaya looked at the necklace with admiration. "Wow, it's so beautiful! Niko also gave me something similar, he gave me a bracelet with a star decoration!"
Sylva just smiled weakly, pretending to be interested. In his heart, he felt a feeling of jealousy creeping up, not because he didn't have a boyfriend, but because he felt he had lost his two best friends.
"Maybe you two could make a vlog about these gifts," Sylva suggested half-jokingly, hoping to change the mood that was starting to feel increasingly foreign to her.
Jorianna chuckled, but she noticed the insincerity in Sylva's voice. Shaenaya also noticed the changes in Sylva's voice.
Shaenaya grabbed Sylva's hand, trying to calm her best friend down. "Syl, you know that you still mean a lot to us, right? Even though Me and Anna have a boyfriend and you don't, our friendship will never disappear."
But Shaenaya's words were not enough to dispel the doubts in Sylva's heart.Even though she knew that Jorianna and Shaenaya meant no harm, he couldn't shake the feeling that their relationship had changed permanently.
