It is the fact that, I always feel like someone is watching me. I know there is no one in my room or in my surroundings. But, the feeling of being watched eats me up everytime.
I know maybe some of you also feels the same. Though it is frustrating enough, there are some pros and cons to this feeling. As the matter of my opinion, I believe it is due to my insecurities that I feel.
PROS:
• My mind doesn’t allow any bad thoughts like I can cheat in exams without anyone knowing. Because I know atleast a single person would be monitoring me.
• As I always feel being watched, I think more than twice before doing anything.
• When I do something wrong, subconsciously I reflect on it. Because I don’t want someone to find my insecurities.
CONS:
• I feel anxious whenever I feel alone. Whether or not it is my own space, I feel very strange.
• Due to insecurities, sometimes I feel inferiority complex to my friends.
• I started comparing myself with others. Whether it is job, education, family, financially stable or anything else.
Insecurities occur due to inferiority complex. One can fight against their insecurities through self-improvement.
HOW I FIGHT AGAINST MY INSECRITIES?
1. If I talk about school or college, I tend to put my massive focus on the concepts rather than going for bookish grades. It helped me to stop thinking about comparing my grades with my friends.
2. As for my current journey it is challenging enough to make me anxious. But I learned how to take one step further and break the wall that I build myself.
3. I reflect on my previous mistakes and try to build up self-confidence.
4. The confidence I give myself plays a key role in fighting against my inferiorities.
5. I know, if I overcome these insecurities, I can achieve than development I long in my life.
6. I know being watched doesn’t mean literal. It is the shadow of insecurities. So, I began to question, “why do I feel inferior to others?”.
7. That’s when I understand that, the challenges in my life is the same as in everyone’s life. Everyone is facing them, so why not me? I can do the same. I can be better than them.
8. Just like that my anxiety, inferiority, insecurities and other bad conceptions began to evaporate.
Though there is no end for this anxiety, inferiority, insecurities and other bad conceptions, I began to self-motivate and followed the goals I set for myself. We can learn a lot more from them and not repeat them again.
Insecurities are the walls we build up ourselves. If we can build those walls, we can also have the ability to break them within ourselves.
Whether physically or mentally, once we start the process of self-improving, we can achieve anything with self-confidence, self-motivation, and reflecting on one’s own actions. This is how I changed myself for the better future.
Atlast the character, nature, and one’s behaviour is core value in their life. If all these are intact within us, we can overcome anything with our best self.
