He crouched on the roof of the man’s house, the one that he’d been ordered to kill. The lights were still on, which was definitely not ideal for an assassin. He’d have to wait till the lights were off to make his move. It was a bit windy outside, making his long black hair sway in the wind, the mask that covered his face was uncomfortable, once in awhile he had to shift the black and white mask, with a smile on it to make it less irritating. It covered his full face, ensuring no one could figure out who he was. After awhile of waiting the lights turned off he waited a little longer to ensure the man was asleep. Smirking he silently jumped off of the roof, and peered through the window, checking a second time that he was fully asleep. He checked the door, which was for some reason unlocked. raising an eyebrow, he went inside. The man was definitely in his bed, the lantern laid beside his bed, illuminating his pale face, his long white hair on his bed. He was laying on his back with his arms on his chest. Unsheathing his sword, he ‘crept’ slowly and carefully closer to the man’s bed. He swung his sword to the man’s neck, only for the man in bed to not actually be asleep, the man was holding his sword to ‘mine’ (couldn’t figure out what word to put..guess I’ll switch it first person 😭😭?) I was completely dumbfounded. This man was also surprisingly strong. he pushed my sword back, and jumped up almost right away. I grunted at the sheer strength and energy of this man, which had obviously been concealed. I pulled back my sword and jumped back, knowing I’d not win the fight head on. The man took the initiative to attack this time, I blocked his attack that seemed to be aiming for my stomach, my sword slipped off of his and sliced my stomach a little. His sword was clearly laced with poison. Feeling the affects in a matter of seconds, blood started to drip, I shifted the mask to make sure it did not fall off, and expose myself to the victim. I ran out the door and jumped back onto the roof. I continued jumping roof to roof, he looked back to see if the man had followed him before ducking into a civilians house, which was currently empty. He searched the cabinets for anything to stop the bleeding and to clean the wound. Breaking open one cabinet by accident, he ignored it, he grabbed the bandage wraps, along with cloth and applied pressure to the slice in his stomach. It stopped bleeding. Putting his mask up slightly to be Able to breathe better he started feeling light headed, he then heard a sound on a roof, it sounded like foot steps. Sitting between the wooden table and bed, wishing there was a space for him under the bed, he hoped it would be hidden enough. His vision blurred as the door opened, not being able to see who it was, until he crouched down and came close to his face with his own face. I could no longer move properly and unsteadily, I was more worried about my mask being taken off. The man’s hair hung over his shoulders, and some drooped down his face as he was crouched staring at my mask. There was another person in the room, which was likely his shadow guard, had this all been a trap?
