Angel, now being 4 years old, woke up on a Wednesday morning with a loud yawn and then she giggled and ran downstairs to sit at the table to greet her parents. “Morning Mommy!” She said as she looked up at her Mother Maryann who was making sandwiches for Angel and her two brothers Derek and Carmen. “Good morning sweetie.” Maryann said as she picked up Angel and set her down on a chair. Are you hungry Angel?” Maryann said as she held out an egg sandwich towards Angel. “Yes please!” Angel gleefully said as she took the sandwich and began eating when her brothers came downstairs rubbing their eyes. Morning Mom.” Said 7 year old Carmen said as he yawned loudly. Derek followed his younger brother's yawn and said sleeply “where's Dad?” Maryann looked at her son with love. “He's at work dear, you know he had to work baby.” Derek sighed and nodded his head as Maryann handed the two boys a lunch box. “Now, run along before you miss the school bus.” She said as she kissed both of their foreheads. Carmen giggled happily while Derek's face turned red with embarrassment as they ran outside to catch the bus. “Mommy?” Angel said as she swallowed her last bit of sandwich. “Why don't I go to school like my brothers do?” She tilted her head innocently. “Because your not old enough yet honey.” Maryann said as she picked Angel up and carried her into the living room. “When will I be old enough?” Angel said as Maryann sat her down on the couch. “When your 5 years old dear.” Maryann sat next to Angel. “That will take too long!” Angel said as she pouted annoyed. “I wanna be like my brothers..” Maryann patted Angel's head comfortingly. “I know baby, but time will fly by quicker than you know it.” Angel looked up at her Mom. “I hope it flies quicker!” Maryann sighed but looked at her daughter patiently and said “don't wish time away baby, it really does fly fast and before you know it, all you may have is memories. Angel's face softened and she tilted her head innocently again and then she asked “what do you mean Mommy?” Maryann the chuckled softly and shock her head. “Don't worry about it love, you'll understand some day.”Maryann then kissed Angel's forehead as Angel giggled. “I love you Mommy. Angel said as she huged Maryann. “I love you too baby.” Maryann said as she returned Angel's hug. Hours then went by and evening came and Angel was playing in the living with Carmen with Maryann and Garfield watching them. “Where's Derek?” Garfield asked as he watched his children play together. “Oh, he's in his room, he's in another one of his…moods.” Maryann said as she looked down. Garfield put his arm around Maryann and kissed her cheek and then said. “Don't worry baby, I'm sure he'll snap outta it soon.” Marynn smiled with hope in her eyes. “I pray your right.” She said as she leaned her head on his shoulder as Angel and Carmen giggled happily as they played. Nighttime fell upon them and bedtime was around the corner as Maryann carried Angel to bed as her other two boys could stay awake a little later. “Why can't I stay up like brothers can?” Angel asked as Maryann tucked her into bed. “Because your younger than them. Maryann said as she kissed her on the head. Angel then looked around the room and she became a little weary. “I-I don't wanna sleep here alone..I'm scared!” Angel said as she clutch her stuffed bunny Ms. Cottonball. Maryann then patted her daughter's head comfortingly and said softly to her. “Remember dear, God is here watching you and he'll will protect you from all things.” Angel then looked up at her Mother hopefully. “Really?” She tilted her head innocently. Then why can't I see God?” Maryann chuckled. “Beacuse He's in Heaven dear, He's watching over everyone in the world.” Angel's eyes lit up with joy and glee. “Really? How can He do that?!” She said with a happy and curious tone of voice. Maryann chuckled again as she patted Angel's head again. “Because He's God. He can do all things. She smiled as Angel's eyes lit up again. “Wowie! That's so cool!” Angel said as she sat up in her bed now not feeling tired. Maryann laughed a little bit and said to her daughter gently. Oh honey, lay be down.” Angel did so but she said softly. Mommy, would you tell me a story about Jesus please?” Maryann nodded and sat down on her bed and began speaking. Now, one day Jesus came across a man who was blind since his birth. His disciples then asked him,” “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus then said, Neither this man nor his parents sinned but this happened so the works of God might be displayed in him, and Jesus took dirt and spat in it and make clay and he put the clay on the blind man's eyes and told him to wash in the lake and the man did exactly that and lo and behold, the man was no longer blind.” Angel's eyes lit up even more. “Really!? Jesus healed a blind man? That's so cool Mommy! Angel continued her praising. I wanna be just like Jesus when I grow up! Angel said surely and proudly as Maryann chuckled again as she sat up from the bed. “Maybe you can be like him but not completely.” She said as she kissed Angel's forehead. “Goodnight baby. Angel giggled and said. “Goodnight Mommy, thanks for telling a story about Jesus.” Maryann smiled. “Anytime honey.” She said as she walked outta the room and shut the door behind her allowing Angel to drift of into slumber now knowing God was watching over her. Maryann then went into her own room where her husband was already in bed as she laying down next to him and fell asleep by her dear husband's side. Maryann then awoke in the middle of the night to thumping noises coming from Angel's room. Maryann then sighed thinking Angel had woken up so she aross from her bed and walked towards her daughter's room. However as she walked down the hall the thumping noises grew louder and she began to make a growling like noise so she picked up the pace and run to her daughter's room and threw the door open and as soon as she did her heart sank. There, in Angel's room by her bedside was a tall, dark figure with large, pointy horns, his red eyes burning into Maryann's eyes. Maryann stared at it in fear but snap outta her fear remembering her daughter. What do you wanted!? Why are you here!? The demon smiled in a sinister way and pointed his claw like hand at the sound asleep Angel's forehead. Maryann's eyes widen as she then thought back to the night of Angel's birth. “My dream, that child in my dream, was that. Child….Angel?” Maryann thought to herself as she stared at the demon. The demon then stared to speak in soft yet threatening voice. She is the one picked by my master to be an angel of darkness, who will rein terror upon the world. Maryann's eyes widen even more as she then stared at the sleeping Angel unaware of what's happening. Maryann then shouted as she held up her cross necklace at the demon “flee you ghoul! You are no welcomed here! Flee I say, in Jesus's name! There on then faded away leaving Maryann alone with the sleeping Angel. Maryann's eyes watered as she kneeled beside Angel's bedside rubbing her hair. “Don't worry love, I will always protect you, and so will God, your faith will not be darkened by the villains of the light. Maryann kissed Angel's forehead and reluctantly went back into her room. Will Angel fall to the darkness, or will she love the light?
