PROLOGUE
"Brix?..." - I couldn't believe what I saw: the man I loved was making out with another man?... Instead of feeling disgusted or walking out, I stood still, waiting for him to explain.
"Aona... Aona it's... It's... "- he didn't know what to say anymore, maybe because he knew he had no more excuses to give.
"I'm waiting Brix. "- I said firmly, as if not hurting or breaking inside.
"Baby what's wrong? And who's she? - he asked, the man he was with fully naked, not even ashamed that I was here? Or did he cover his Small d:$¢k?
"She's my friend..." - he said, avoiding eye contact as I smirked, knowing the drill. I left without saying anything. I wouldn't gain anything by crying; why settle for less?
- Brix chased after me to the parking lot, grabbing my wrist, crying, trying to explain. -
"Aona... I'm sorry... it's just I think I'm bi?"- he explained. -
"You shouldn't be sorry because of your identity "- I replied, suddenly brightening up, maybe he thought I forgave him.
"Really?... But Aona I..."
"You shouldn't be hesitant, I know you want to end this so yeah let's end this." - pretending it's okay but my heart is shattered, I want to cry and scream everything, disappointment and resentment welling up inside. I called Caji, my gay friend, in fact, my childhood friend; he took me to where we used to play as kids. The night sky felt so peaceful, the breeze comforting me, Caji and Melissa still supporting me.
"Friend, it's okay. I know how it feels, and I know moving on is very hard. We're here for you, Aona" - he calmly said while patting my back. -
"Aona, do you want me to steal your ex-boyfriend?" - Caji joked. -
"Gay!"- Melissa shouted.
"You know, it would have been better if he replaced me with another girl..." - I said, trying to hold back tears. - "Because with a girl, you'll know what's lacking in you... but with a guy... there's nothing you can do... you lose immediately..." - my tears kept flowing, seemingly without end.
"Aona, don't think that way, don't think that you're lacking or you'll lose. If he loves you, he will tell you. If he loves you, he will choose you. If he doesn't know what he's got now, he never will because he thinks that you're somebody he could leave without. " - Caji said. -
"And your point is? Wait was that a song?"- Melissa asked.
"Shut it I'm trying my very best to calm her" - Caji added.
"You are enough and worth loving, Aona. He replaced you not because you're not enough, but because you're not the right person for him. The right person will come and find you. Who knows, maybe he's already right in front of you..."
______ Synopsis ______

Will their encounter rewrite their past or pave a new path for both of their stories?
