It was morning.
The sun was shining brightly in the sky. The birds were singing their beautiful songs. The wind blows making rusting sounds of the tree leafs. I breathe in the fresh air and smiled. I went to my cafe and bought a cup of coffee. As I was walking past the park I saw a young girl sitting on one of the benches in the park, the a tree's shadow.
She was looking down as tears fell down from her cheeks. I frowned and couldn't help being a busy body. I sat beside her and smiled. She was still looking down, not looking at me. I patted on her shoulder. She finally looked at me! Her eyes and nose were red. She wiped her tears and said, "Do you need something?"
I smiled and said, "What's your name? Mine is Sara."
She sighed, "Why do you want to know my name? And why do you think I should tell you my name?"
I smiled awkwardly and said, "Well, you are right. I am an unknown person for you." I paused for a while. "Why were you crying?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"Just want to know. You will also feel better if you tell me."
She looked at me, "How?"
"I am an unknown for you, you don't know me and I don't know you. So, you can easily share your problem with as I don't think we will meet again."
She nodded her head, "Makes sense." She chuckled. "But sorry, I don't want to be judged."
A sad smile was on her face. I actually pitied that girl. I patted on her shoulder and smiled. "I promise I won't judge."
Her eyes got teary again. "You won' judge me?"
I shook my head as 'No'. She hugged me tightly and cried out. I hugged her back and started to pat her back.
"I am a lesbian." She choked on her own words. I was actually shocked to hear that. She continued, "But my parents don't accept me."
She trembling and I frowned. How can a parent do that!?
She said, "So, I ran away from home."
"Honesty, I don't know how to console you anymore and I don't what to say anymore." I broke the hug and wiped her tears. I smiled at her, "But, I will say this to you, be strong."
She smiled at me, "I'll try. Anyway, thank you for listening to me."
I smiled back at her.
"And thank you for not judging me."
I patted her head and took out the water bottle I had with me from my bag and a bar of chocolate. "Have this."
"No, it's okay."
"Don't refuse it. Take it please."
She sighed, "Thank you."
Then I just left. The next day I got to know something shocking. I was just scrolling through my social media account and came through a news. The news said that the police had found a dead body in a lake in the park I met that girl yesterday. It a was girl's dead body. The picture was shown, my fear came true, it was the girl I met yesterday. She killed herself by drowning her in the lake's water. The police did some investigations and found out that her name was, Angel.
I wonder how her parents reacted. I don't how they reacted. But I can say that I was crying. I learned a lesson that day.
