CHAPTER 1. "THE SERPENT PHANTOM"
It is the 13th November of 2023.
A Japanese 20-year old young man wokes up on his bed and found both of his hands are covered in blood.
He immediately rushes to the bathroom to wash her hands.
As he washes his hands, he looks in the mirror and felt shocked.
The figure in the mirror is not him, it looks like a female human, she has a green short hair, green eyes and a long tail of a serpent.
And this figure smiled towards him through the mirror.
Then the figure says, "Hello there, boy, hwahahahahaha (she laughed)"
The young man quickly leaves the bathroom and close the door.
Then he calls out his parents, "Dad, Mom!!"
But, strangely no one responded.
The young man feels odd about this, so he goes towards their bedroom.
As he goes to their room,
He sees his parents are dead.
They see his parent's belly and throat are covered in a pool of blood with severed arm and legs.
The young man panicked and he screams, "MOM!!, DAD!!"
Then, he remembered his sister and so, he immediately goes to his younger sister's room to check her out.
When he arrived in her room, his sister isn't there.
So, then he searched everywhere until he found that her body is in the stairs with her head chopped off.
The young man shouted hysterically and he asks, "Who did this, who would have done this?"
Then, suddenly a female voice says towards her, "You did."
The young man says, "What?, No, its impossible, i would never killed my family, i love my family!!"
The female voice then replies, "So you still denying it, boy."
The young man says, "No!!, no!!, no!!, its not me, it must be you, yeah, you!!, who are you!! show yourself!!"
The female voice just laughs, "Hwahahahahaha!!!!! , you don't believe me, what i said its the truth."
The young man replies, "Prove to me!!"
The female voice replies, "The proof is why you are the only one alive right now."
The young man says, "No!!, no!!, no!! , its not true!!, this is not real, this is must be a dream, i should wake up right now!!"
Then, once more he looks on the mirror.
That figure appeared again in the mirror and the figure comes out from the mirror and holds his face and whispers to his ears, "THIS IS NOT A DREAM."
The young man screams, "NO!!!!!!!!!!''
The figure laughs, "Hwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!"
The young man says, "It must be you, it must be you!! I was asleep before!!, i never remembered i killed them last night!!"
Then the figure replies, "Just because you didn't remember it, that doesn't mean you didn't killed them."
The young man dropped to his knees and he completely shocked, but he can't say a word anymore
The figure laughs.
And then, he stares on the knife at the dining table.
After that, he immediately takes the knife and shakingly grabs the knife and point it towards his throat.
As the knife is so close to reach his throat, suddenly a group of people breaks in the house and they quickly rushes towards the young man and grabs his hand and stop his suicidal action.
The young man screams and says, "Who are you people?!!, get off me!!, leave me alone!!, let me kill myself!!"
Then, one of them says, "Silence!, we'll take you somewhere where you could redeem your sins."
After that, that person touches his forehead and immediately he faints.
An hour later, he wakes up and he founds himself in the cathedral.
He sees himself sitting in a wooden chair.
And he looks that his body and the chair is tied along together by a metal chain.
The young man surprised.
Then, he sees seven people are standing surrounding him.
The young man then says, "Who are you people?!!, Where am i?!! What do you all want from me?!! and What is this?!!"
Then, a middle age man named Watari Watanabe says towards him, "Young man, we apologizes that we break into your house and brought you here when you're unconscious. If you want to know why you been brought here, it is because theres a phantom inside you."
The young man replies, "Phantom?"
Watari replies, "Phantom is an astral being that had haunted our world for years."
The young man then says, "An astral being?"
Watari says, "Yes, this astral being has a hobby attacking humans and kill it, because they loved to drink our blood and eat our organs like a vampire and normal ghosts, but the difference is that the Phantom also active during the day as well. Not like ghosts whose just haunted us and we can't see them. Meanwhile, the phantoms are visible and their abilities are so more than just haunting and attacking. They have skills, great power and also a huge strength. Thats why, phantoms are very dangerous and becomes a huge threat towards the life of humanity."
The young man replies, "Oh my God, that kind of beings exist in this world."
Then, Watari says, "Thats why we are here to stop all the phantom's actions towards humans by exterminating them with pain same like the way they give me the pain to our life."
The young man asks, "So you all are?"
Watari replies, "We are the Phantom Hunters."
The young man says, "Phantom Hunters?"
Watari replies, "Yes, we are the people whose has a job to hunt down the phantoms. And now, our mission is to exterminate the phantom inside you."
Then, the young man thinks in his mind, "Wait, so the being just now is a phantom and she is the one whose used me to kill my own family when i'm still asleep."
The young man replies, "So, the phantom inside me....."
Watari replies, "The phantom inside you is the serpent phantom."
The young man shocked.
Watari says again, "The serpent phantom is one of the dangerous phantom on the category of High Level Phantom."
The young man become terrified and says, "Oh no, she's inside my body, what should i do?"
Watari replies, "Don't worry, we're here to take it out. But i'm going to tell you this will be very hurt. The pain that you will feel as we try to take that phantom out will be the most painful pain that you have to suffer. Are you ready?"
The young man then asks, "Can i ask you a question?"
Watari answers, "Sure."
The young man asks, "Could i believe in all of you?"
Watari replies, "We'll try our best."
Then, the young man nods.
After that, Watari orders everyone to prepare for the ritual of the phantom releasement.
Six people holds the chain each on different wind direction (North, Northwest, Northeast, South, Southwest and Southeast)
Then, those six people releases some kind of light energy power comes from within their hands and the energy power flows into the chain which go towards the young man.
Meanwhile, Watari releases his light energy as well on both of his palms and point hiss palms towards the young man.
Before they start the ritual, Watari asks towards the young man, "Before we start, let me ask you, what's your name?"
The young man answers, "My name is Junta, Junta Yokama."
Then, Watari replies, "My name is Watari Watanabe, its nice meeting you, Junta-kun."
Junta replies, "Nice to meet you as well, Watari-san."
Watari replies, "We'll try our best."
Junta nods.
Then, Watari screams, "Now, everyone pull!!"
After that, everyone pull the chain that tied Junta's body and the chair.
They pull the chain so hard.
Junta immediately feel hurt, but he still could hold himself to not scream.
Then, Watari orders, "Everyone strengthen your Pneuma energy."
After that, everyone strengthen their energy within the chain.
Junta can't hold the pain, so then he screams.
Junta screams, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Watari then orders to the others, "Keep doing that, don't weaken your energy!!, stay focus!! and keep pulling and this time pull much harder!!!!!"
Junta screams much louder and then, suddenly the serpent phantom inside him scream too.
The phantom screams much louder than Junta, because phantom's weakness is the light Pneuma energy.
Then, the serpent phantom says these words out loud, "YOU THINK YOU COULD RELEASES ME FROM THIS BOY'S BODY AND KILL ME!!, NO!!, NO!!, I WILL USED THIS BODY UNTIL I'M BECOME THE STRONGEST!! AND THEN WITH THAT, I'LL BRING AN END TOWARDS HUMANITY!!!!!"
Junta and the phantom screams together,
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Junta keep screaming until he moves his head uncontrollably so fast.
And then, the serpent phantom can't stand it anymore, so then she possessed Junta's body and she tries so hard to destroy the chains with Junta's hands.
She uses with all Junta's great muscles strength and she combines Junta's strength with her power phantom strength.
She tries so hard until the chains destroyed.
Then, the serpent phantom moves very fast and killed the six people whose holds the chain before.
In an instant, Watari sees the others been killed.
And he sees the serpent phantom licked the blood on Junta's finger.
Watari says, "You!!"
Watari immediately releases his pneuma energy towards him, but suddenly as he knew it.
The serpent phantom hold his head on her hand.
Watari doesn't notices, because this phantom is super fast.
Then, Watari closes his eyes and says his last word, "So, this is the power of a high level phantom, i see that i lost, i am not strong enough, i'm sorry, Junta, we had tried our best."
After that, her time of possessing Junta's body is finished.
As Junta regains his consciousness, he sees that he holds Watari's head.
Junta shouts and let go of his head.
And he says, "Watari-san, everyone. No!!, You, you, you killed them all!!"
Suddenly, he got knocked out so fast and he faints again.
As he wakes up, he's in the infirmary.
And he sees a Japanese 50 year old man.
This man is look like a samurai.
He has scars on his face, his hairstyle is like a samurai and he has a long katana sword on his scabbard and he wears a traditional kimono.
He also has a very serious-looking eyes.
Then, that man says, "Oh you're awake, good morning."
Junta replies shortly, "Good morn....."
After that Junta yawns.
Then, he realized, "Hah, wait what happened last night?!!"
The man says, "Hmm... you probably forgot, because you're too tired. Well, actually i don't want to tell you. It is best for you to forgot it."
Junta replies, "No, tell me sir."
The man sighed and says, "Well, if you insist, you killed seven people yesterday on the small cathedral last night."
Then, Junta remembers it all.
He killed Mr.Watari and the others, because of the serpent phantom possessing his body.
Junta replies, "I killed them all."
The man replies, "Thats right."
Junta says, "What have i done?"
The man then replies, "Its not your fault, Mr.Watari and the others knew that you are not the one who killed your own family and you are also not the killer of their life. It is the serpent phantom inside you, but you knew, the ritual failed and the phantom refused to leave your body, it is going to be difficult to bait her out."
Junta then replies, "Then, kill me."
The man looked on him and says, "Kill you?"
Junta replies, "The serpent phantom used my body to killed my own family and those good people who tried to help me, but instead i killed them. Maybe perhaps, if you kill me, probably the serpent phantom will also been killed by your katana sword."
The man replies, "No, if i killed you, she will used your body to kill more people without any time limits of body possession."
Junta then surprised and he doesn't speak a word after that.
Then the man says, "But there is a way to make her forcefully leave your body."
Junta asks, "How?"
The man says, "By increasing the Pneuma energy inside your body."
Junta says, "Pneuma?"
Then, the man says, "Yes, that's why i give you a choice, would you leave this place and let that serpent phantom does whats she wants with your body or you could join us?"
Junta asks, "Join with you?"
The man replies, "Yes, join the Phantom Hunters. Probably you could find a way to be free from that phantom by joining us and increase your Pneuma energy within you. And also you could help us exterminating the phantoms in this world. So which choice would you choose, Junta-kun, would you live a life full of killing innocents or repent and try to overcome the parasite inside you? The choice is in your hands, Junta-kun. What choice would you choose?"
