Once upon a time, in the small town of Roswell, New Mexico, lived a woman named Martha. Martha was my friend's mother and was known for her eccentricities. She had a fascination with the universe and often spent nights gazing at the stars through her old telescope.
One day, while observing the night sky, she saw a bright light streak across the sky and crash into the nearby desert. Intrigued, she decided to investigate. As she approached the crash site, she found a strange metallic object half-buried in the sand. It was an alien spaceship!
Out of the spaceship emerged a creature unlike any she had ever seen. It had green skin, and large eyes, and communicated through telepathy. The alien introduced itself as Zorgon from the planet Zeta Reticuli.
Martha was initially scared but soon realized that Zorgon meant no harm. Zorgon explained that his spaceship had malfunctioned and he was stranded on Earth. Feeling sympathetic, Martha decided to help Zorgon.
She took him home and introduced him to her son matt, my friend, who was equally fascinated by the alien. They worked together to repair Zorgon's spaceship using parts from Martha's old car and some ingenious improvisations.
During this time, Martha grew fond of Zorgon. His knowledge about the universe was vast and he shared many stories about his home planet and his travels across galaxies. Martha found herself falling in love with Zorgon's intellect and his kind nature.
When the spaceship was finally repaired, it was time for Zorgon to leave. It was a bittersweet moment for Martha as she bid goodbye to her alien friend. As Zorgon's spaceship disappeared into the night sky, Martha felt a sense of loss but also contentment for having helped a friend in need.
As the spaceship disappeared into the night sky, Martha felt a sense of loss but also contentment for having helped a friend in need. But to her surprise, Zorgon didn't leave. He had grown fond of Earth and decided to stay with Martha.
They lived together, sharing their knowledge and love for the cosmos. Their bond grew stronger, and they eventually had a child who was a beautiful blend of human and Zeta Reticulian traits.
I was the only one who knew about this. I saw them together, living a life that was as normal as it could be under the circumstances. But now, I fear Zorgon might perceive me as a threat for knowing their secret.
I don't know what's going to happen next. But I hope that Zorgon understands that I mean no harm. After all, we're all just inhabitants of this vast universe, trying to understand our place in it.
*NEXT DAY*
The peaceful life in Roswell was shattered one fateful night. Zorgon and Martha, in a fit of rage, killed Martha's husband. I witnessed the horrifying act from my window across the street. The sight of Zorgon, an alien I had come to accept as part of our community, committing such a heinous act filled me with dread.
I decided to confront Zorgon. Gathering all my courage, I went to their house and revealed that I knew their secret. But instead of the understanding I had hoped for, Zorgon's reaction was chilling. He looked at me with his large, emotionless eyes and said, "You're going to die."
The threat hung in the air like a dark cloud. Every day was filled with fear as I wondered when Zorgon would make good on his threat. Then one day, my worst fears came true.
Zorgon showed up at my house with a knife. His intent was clear. I screamed at the top of my lungs, "Save me!" But in our small town of Roswell, who would believe that an alien was trying to kill me?
As Zorgon advanced towards me, knife in hand, I felt a chill run down my spine. But I knew I had to act fast. I picked up a vase from the table next to me and threw it at Zorgon. It hit him square in the face, and he staggered back, giving me just enough time to escape from the house.
I ran as fast as I could, not daring to look back. I could hear Zorgon's angry roars behind me, but I didn't stop. I ran until I reached the town's police station.
Out of breath, I burst into the station and told them everything - about Zorgon, Martha, and the threat on my life. The officers were skeptical at first. After all, it's not every day that someone walks in claiming that an alien is trying to kill them.
But they agreed to investigate. They went to Martha's house and were shocked to find evidence supporting my claims. Zorgon was arrested and Martha was taken into custody.
It was a terrifying experience, but I was just relieved to be alive. Life in Roswell was never the same after that night. But one thing was for sure - we were no longer alone in this universe.
The peace that had returned to Roswell was short-lived. One day, Zorgon, his child, and Martha were found dead in their home. The town was in shock. The alien family that had once been a source of fear was now a source of sympathy.
The police were clueless about the identity of the killer. But I knew who it was. It was Martha's other child, the one she had with her husband before Zorgon came into their lives.
He was always a quiet boy, living in the shadow of his mother's fascination with the cosmos. But the arrival of Zorgon and the birth of his half-alien sibling had pushed him over the edge. He felt neglected, replaced by an alien being.
In a fit of rage and jealousy, he had taken the lives of his own family. It was a chilling revelation, one that sent shivers down my spine.
The police eventually caught him and he was put behind bars. But the damage was done. The town of Roswell would forever bear the scars of this tragic event.
And I, as the sole keeper of their secret, was left with a heavy heart and a story that no one would believe.
The end....
