What's with that!?
No, seriously, why did my sister acted like that last night?
After that night, because I am so shocked about my sister's unusual behavior I just slept it out and said to myself: "I'll worry about it tomorrow".
So right now, in the corridor wherein sunrise is hitting my face, instead of enjoying the ray of the newly risen sun as I walk towards my office, I am worried about my sister's unusual behavior instead.
My sister is a duty bound person, well not workaholic, but just a person who will not stop working until the job is done.
If there's no job that needs her attention, then she will not work, that's how she is, usually.
Her job as a queen is to first: Approve or Reject laws proposed by her nobles while considering the benefits of the law to her own people and almost not thinking about herself.
Second is to give commands, on this job of hers she needs to convey anything in complete and flawless details concerning the order, in order for the command to be clear, if the one she entrusted the command failed, well that's already not her fault. And many more among others.
And that's why she is acting strange, why did she give a command as vague as "Go and Look for trouble" and then make her scape immediately without even explaining the details?
I can understand the meaning of the order of course, in summary she wants me to solve one of the few problems of this Kingdom with our few numbers.
That's it, but it is still strange because no matter how she trusts my comprehension, she should still explain every detail to me even though she knows that I'll get annoyed with the long explanation.
So why? Did she know that I caught up to her hiding the reason for creating the Black Unit and is about to ask her the reason?
Why does she have to hide the reason in the first place? Just what kind of reason can make my sister be secretive to the point that she will be so out of character that it seems like she absorbed half of my personality just to avoid it being discovered?
I mean, what's with that thumbs up, I didn't even seen her once do a wink and then she suddenly flashed a thumbs up in the middle of the night, even I as the straight man was so shocked about the thumbs up that the previous chapter just ended with a cliffhanger without me retorting properly.
No, but jokes aside. At first I think that the reason of my sister's order for creating a secret unit is serious, but not so serious to the point that she'll act goofy like me to hide the reason, I even thought that maybe that's just her whims because she was bored.
But, it seems like the real reason is far too graver than I have expected.
As I was pondering about things like that, I entered the hallway to the underground basement.
By the way, the enchantment I made in the hallway is a selective one, all the members of the Black Unit and Eris, my sister is allowed to look at it and be interested in it and others will be uninterested expect from people who can break through my almost perfect enchantment.
After passing the hallway, I saw an out of place painting of the previous Queen.
What in the world am painting is done in a hallway you said? Well, this is the door that connects to the enormous basement underground.
After I pushed the portrait a little "clang" sound can be heard and after that, the portrait has been transformed into a sliding door.
After I slide the portrait to the right, I descended down the stairs, which is quite deep.
It is a forbidden basement after all, and then after quite the many steps, I arrived at the office of the Black Unit.
I sat on my newly made office table at the base of operations of the Black Unit while sipping dark coffee.
I leisurely put my feet at the top of my desk while waiting for my subordinates to answer the meeting, call I made, they are taking a while again, are they groping each other on the stairs again I wonder?
You see, I made a call for our first official mission so I really need them right now.
That two should really learn how to be punctual, or am I just too early?
"Woah, Loki-Sama is early as well today. How can you wake up early in the morning!?"
While I am staring at the ceiling, a cheerful voice of a girl, specifically Altair resounded and echoed to the office, making me stumble to my seat, making me fix my posture and my seating position.
"Time is relevant so you're the late one"
With my reply, Vega replied with a: "I'm sure that's not the case, Loki-Sama."
"Yeah, it's the búttcrack of dawn and you're already here, what are you a student who lives by himself?"
"Yeah, adults should wake up in the afternoon."
"Wouldn't that be a terrible adult?"
After they entered we had that kind of short conversation and then they slumped there heads again in their desks.
Hey, what kind of subordinates are you sleeping in front of your superior huh!?
It's like Vega didn't even got his whole rib cage pulverized by me just about a month ago, he is now so casual, oh I know how to liven them up.
"Are you two gonna be okay for the Black Unit's first official mission?"
As I said those words, the posture of the two lazybones straighten up professionally almost immediately.
Muscle brains sure are easy to manipulate huh? Well, not like I'm the one to talk.
Anyway, it's time to explain the first official mission of the Black Unit so I looked at the ceiling of the office and smirked.
"Alright, now that 'EVERYONE' is here. I will now explain the Black Unit's first official mission..."
And so with that I explained the full information about the mission.
That being said, I don't really have anything to say because my sister didn't even explained the order well so I explained it like this:
First, the Queen made a request of ending a trouble in the Kingdom even though the troubles here are nil to none already, so we are to search for that "trouble" and then clean it up.
By any means necessary of course.
After that there are questions from the two like:
"What trouble?"
"How can we make a clear description on what is considered a trouble?"
Among many other things, actually it sounds more like a complaint rather than questions.
But, now that I think about it, isn't that order a little too unreasonable?
I mean, how are we supposed to define "trouble" in this situation? If there is a granny who is having difficulty carrying her shopping bags, can we call that trouble?
Or if we saw a cat in a tree that can't go down and helped it, did we solve a trouble?
It's really troublesome to comprehend that, but I guess we should ignore those things and make "trouble" as something like a village or tribe that is in the scope of the Kingdom's circle of influence is experiencing huh?
So I thought, so that's what I ordered them and now they are currently moving out in the outskirts of the Kingdom.
Including me, the Black Unit is finding places that experiencing distress. We have quite the wide scope to survey because of ohananajsjsur little numbers, but we will manage somehow.
I mean we didn't even surpassed the 10 number threshold so...
This may take a while, if I am not here that is. Because I already have a good guess on what village is having trouble now.
So I flew leisurely in the bright morning sky, in the direction of the 'village in distress'.
The Demi-Human Village.
"Fufu, well let's chat to the villagers of 'THAT' village then, it's been two hundred years since then after all~"
