Every person had their own dream for their wedding. Indeed, I had too! I always dreamt to find my another soul, but my dad arranged my marriage with an unknown girl almost a stranger to me. Today I am standing here in front of priest waiting for my unknown bride to arrive. My dad held her hand and walked down the aisle. Doesn't she have dad? I should be lost in that, but I was lost in her. Sounds cheesy! But that's damn true. I can't look at her face because of the veil she wore, but I am damn sure she will be looking gorgeous. Her every step make my heart beat wildly. Unknown feelings developed inside me. I should have at least meet her or seen her photo when dad sent it. At last they came near me and my dad said to me to take care of her. I just nodded and held her hand. As we took vows and exchanged our rings, the priest announced us as wedded couples and asked us to kiss. I took a step near her and held her hand and planted a small kiss in it. Soon the ceremony was over, we went home.
Well I was kinda nervous about our wedding night, but somewhere I know nothing going to happen between us. We are total strangers. I went to room to talk to her so that we can get to know about each other. I knocked on the door and a voice said, "Come in." I expected to hear an angelic voice, but unfortunately it was cold as ice. I went inside before I could speak anything she placed a paper in front me and said, "Agree and sign!" No one ever gave me this type of attitude but after seeing her face... Well she is this much beautiful, so she can have this type of attitude right? I took a paper and read it. She dares to give me a contract paper and said we can divorce in two years. If she is Mrs. Universe, I am Mr. Universe. I kept the paper aside and sat near her and said, "I won't agree to this." She glared at me and questioned me, "Why?" I just smirked and say, "You will feel bad to leave the one you love after two years and I don't want you to suffer from heartbreak." She scoffed at my statement and said, "Dream on!" I placed some strands of hair behind her ear and challenged her, "I will make you fall in love with me." She jerked my hand and said, "In your dreams." The smirk in my face didn't fade, so she smirked back and said, "Challenge accepted."
The next day morning my dad called me to the study room. We both sat on the sofa as my father had a serious expression. He started to speak, "I know you always wanted to have a love marriage but -" I cut his sentence, "It's not like that!" He said, "Let me speak first. She is not as she looks. She was soft-hearted one. She always craves for love. There was a couple who also bounded by arranged marriage, but they already have a lover. Even after marrying they both were with their lover. One day both of them were drunk and spend their night with each other. The next morning they clarified it just as a mistake. But after two weeks when she fainted, her husband's dad aka her father-in-law found her unconscious called everyone and a doctor. After check-up, they found out, she is pregnant. Everyone was happy except herself and her husband who just consider it only has a mistake. When she told others she wanted to abort it, her father slapped her. They took care of her and stayed with her until she gave birth. Soon she gave birth to a girl. Everyone was calling her as 'PRINCESS' while the couples called it still as a 'MISTAKE.' Two months passed. They shifted their house to next city so that they could meet up their lovers. They always left her alone in the house in the morning and came night. Whenever they hear her cries, they just beat her up to shut up or throw some food near her. When she was five years they both divorced each other and went with their lovers. They both refused to take her with her, so they left her in their parents house. Their parents couldn't do anything as they were already old. They couldn't even shout at their children. They felt shame on themselves. The little girl doesn't say anything. She just looked at everything and remained silent. They introduce themselves as their grandparents as they only saw her when she was just two months old, and she probably couldn't remember them. She just nodded. A year passed by, and she felt herself as the happiest girl. Her grandparents spoiled her up to they can. Their love was more than enough for her. But one day, her grandparents met into an accident when they went to buy gifts for her birthday. They lost their lives and the little girl blamed herself for it. Her parents again refused to take her, and she was sent to orphanage. Everyone avoided her and some called her as 'Jinx, curse!' From that time she ignored everyone and always kept silent. She even started to have nightmares because of this." After hearing this story a tear escaped my eye. I looked at my dad and asked him why is he saying that to me when he smiled and said, "That little girl was none other than your wife." My eyes widened in shock. My dad continued, " She started to seal her thoughts through pen and soon her works started to get published and get famous and now today she is known as 'Miss Mysterious Writer' to the world, but she doesn't even speak more than three words in reality. She only craves love. I hope you will give that to her." As he finished, he left the room.
I never thought she would suffer this much. I will surely melt and capture her heart and give all my love to her. I started to give roses to her daily for a month which was thrown in a dustbin by her. Then I started to ask her for date to which she refused every time. The next month, I prepared a trip for us to France. I asked my dad to give this ticket to her and asked him to say this as our honeymoon ticket. My dad chuckled at me and was also proud of me. When she came down for dinner, my dad handover the ticket to her and me and said as it our honeymoon ticket. She looked at me when I smirked and said, "We would love to go there!" She just glared at me. The next day we packed our things and went to France. I took her to the hotel and the receptionist said that there is only one room booked in the name of "WILLIAM." Well of course I am the one who books one room. She asked if they have another room when they said that every room has been booked already. Of course, I knew this will happen. She doesn't even let me share the room with her in our home, so I came up with this but according to her dad is the one who arranged one room. I left to our room as she followed me. I was too happy about sharing the same bed, but she threw the duvet and a pillow down and asked me to sleep there. I looked at her and mumbled, 'heartless girl'. At middle of night, I heard some sounds when I woke up and saw her trembling and mumbling something. I went near her and hugged her. As soon as she felt my warmth she snuggled inside my arms and begged me not to leave her. I was stunned, but I held myself and said I wouldn't as I coaxed her. The next day, she woke up at ten. I was hugging her tight and looking at her face. She slightly pushed me when I pulled her and asked her not to act like she doesn't remember what happened yesterday. She bit her lips and kept quiet. I pulled her more and promised, "I swear I won't ever leave you. I will be with you until the very end and give you all the love you need. Just give me one chance, I will prove it to you." She broke down into tears and nodded, "Don't ever leave me. I feel alone." I just held her as she cried her heart out. We started to create our new memories. When we left this place, we left as friends. Though she didn't love me now, I am happy that she gave me a chance. We are not strangers anymore.
Three years passed and she accepted my love truly. After few months, I got the happiest news that I am going to become a father. She was over the moon. I took extra care for her. We both felt like we were in heaven.
Suddenly, an angelic voice echoed in my ear, "Dad why are you crying?" I wiped my tears and hugged her. I looked at her and said, "Princess, you exactly look like your mother."
She giggled and said, "Of course, I will be! After all I am the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Universe." I smiled at her and said, "Let's go!" She nodded her head and hooked her arms with mine. I walked down the aisle holding her hand. I don't want to give my only princess to anyone but... I sighed as I gave her hands to her groom. Though he is a good man, no one can spoil her as I did. I pat her head and said, "Take care" and looked at him when he nods his head in reassurance. I stand aside down. The wedding ceremony ended well. Later at night, I walked to the garden and sat on the swing. I looked up at sky as tears flow down, "You are happy there right? Did you see our princess grown into a beautiful woman? She exactly looked like you. I feel like yesterday only I carried her in my arms but now… She is a married woman. She was an obedient kid from her young age. You left us when she was born, and she didn't receive her mother's love, but she never complained about it. Whenever we went to picnic, I always saw a hint of sadness in her face as she saw other children of age with their mom and dad and I always felt helpless. I wished I could go and get you back just for me and her, but you are TOO FAR FROM REALITY. I couldn't even accompany you because at least she could have one of us. I wish I could die instead of you, and I am sure you would have raised her very better than me."
Suddenly a hand wrapped around me. Just by a touch, I can say who is that! I shocked a little and asked, "Princess, what are you doing here?" She broke the hug and asked me to tell first what I am doing here. I pat her head and said, "I just came for fresh air! Now tell me what are you doing here? You should be with your husband right now!" She pouted and said, "I missed you, so I asked my hubby to take me here." I was quite stunned. I looked around and found him smiling with hands folded as he looked at us. I smiled at ease as my princess got herself a great man.
