"Astrid,wake up..."

There was a faint and calm voice in her ear that it fondled her entire soul,ended with a sweet and soft tone.The name "Astrid" was repeated over and over again.

Astrid had seemingly white skin,short black hair and black eyes.Just an ordinary girl with scars in her body although she was still called beautiful.

Her body was gently caressed by the waves of gentle water while her hair was splattered with water drops.

Who is talking to her?

She opened her eyes and the next thing she realized was that she was dreaming again.

She was asleep for 20 minutes and the funny thing is...she fell asleep while taking a bath.

"Pft."She laughed at her ridiculous self as she lift herself up,grabbing her towel that was hanging beside the bath tub.

When her foot was about to land on the ground,a bar of soap was suddenly she stepped on.

She slipped and her eyes began to lose vision.

Slowly opening her eyes,trying to regain consciousness,she was now facing the ceiling.

Her blood was oozing from the back of her head while it slowly scattered around her body,combining with the small droplets of water.

She was struggling all her might to open her eyes but it was obvious that her energy was draining.The pain was unbearable and she also felt that her life was slowly drifting away.

"Hissss...will I die?"She groaned in pain and still struggled to not surrender into the darkness that was waiting for her.

Then again,this was truly an embarassing way to die.Not to mention she was known as the youngest top-notch assassin in her organization but she was killed by only one useless weapon that seemed to be so untrue to believe.

And that is...a bar of soap....

But this is too odd for her...It is also suspicious...and speaking of being suspicious how did she even get here?

She was supposed to be dead and maybe her body became a dead corpse by now.

Ugh!

Then a voice suddenly spoke that came from the tab."You have only ten seconds to pick your choice or else we will pick your choice randomly."

Thats what the tab said.

'WHAT?!'

"Wait a minute!I wanna ask some questions first!"

"..."Silence filled the atmosphere and not for long the tab spoke again.

"Alright!I have made my choice!I want to live,okay?"

Without hesitation she clicked the weird tab that says 'continue to live on'...and again a beam of light flashed in her eyes.

She opened her eyes and all she see was a pink bed sheet as she let her eyes explore more.She looked around the room while lying down.The room was strangely familiar to her.As if she saw this before,somewhere...

She sits up from her bed then noticed that this room was...

oddly disgusting to her.

'W-what the?Who's bedroom is this anyway?'

'Why is it so pink?Although pink is pretty than red it looks too girly.And I am not much into girlish things,dammit.'

"Who changed my bedroom?"She bluntly asks,totally forgetting that she wasn't even in her room and how she died.She waited for someone to reply to her question but silence was she received.

'What the?Where is everybody anyway?'

She looked around and first that caught her eyes was the sky that can be seen by the window.

The sky was so clear that it made her stunned for a moment,admiring the reflection of the ocean if it was.

Then subconsciously,she stood up from her place.She tried to get out from bed that she can't even call her's... but suddenly she tripped again like in her previous life when she died and hit her poor nose on the ground.

'Wha-...Wait whose legs is this?Why is it small like a teen?

She pondered while trying to fix herself up.

'And speaking of small,why is this room so old-fashioned?Like the medieval times?'

This was all so strange to her...

Wait...Medieval era style,pink colored bedsheets,small legs...

Giving it a thought,she never expected this could happen.

Realizing her situation,she panicked.

She rapidly rushed towards the big mirror that was oblong-shaped,looking at her reflection now,she saw a little girl about to be in her teens and around the age of 15 to 16,with a little scratched-scar that was supposed to be her birthmark in her right cheek and a bandage wrapped around her head... a white hair..purple eyes...Wait,This body...no...

Whose body is this?!

This wasn't even hers!

She trembled and even felt that her legs were shaking.

This was all too sudden to her...How could this be?That tab that appeared in front of her eyes was really real!And worst of all,she did die!She thought that this was a dream!But no it wasn't...

"Alive!S-she is alive...She is alive!!!The young miss is alive!!!My beloved Avila!You're alive!"The maid teared in joy.She went towards Astrid amd slowly cuddled her small body.

And another sound of people's footsteps was getting nearer in her room.

"What?!Avila is alive?"A man about in his thirties was shocked seeing the girl alive.No.Happy that she was alive.And continued."Brilliant!You are alive!"

Then they suddenly rushed towards her and hugged the little girl as tears suddenly came out from their eyes.

Astrid was thrilled to feel like this.

What is this?Is this an act of showing affection?

She asked herself in disbelief and confusion.

She never knew what kind this feeling was or maybe she had already forgotten this kind of feeling from her past life.

It's good that she knew this feeling but for who is this feeling meant for?For her?or the original owner of this body?She already knew that this isn't her body,then who is it?

Wait...why is she getting so hyped about this kind of matter?

First she has to learn about her situation first.

The room instantly became a touching moment.It's like a family reuniting with their last loved ones.But do they even know that they were squashing her small figure that she can hardly breath and they were almost choking her to death?

They all looked at her,eyes filled with curiousity and unblinkingly.

Heiiiiiii....can you please speak? You are making me feel awkward now...and stop with those glares.It's creepy!She sweatdropped while making a thought.

Why are they being awkward with her?Is there something wrong?

Of course there was.

After all,they didn't expect that there beloved Avila was alive nor the fact that she suddenly lost her memories in the moment she woke up.

Few seconds has passed and still they were quiet.Very quiet.

But gladly,someone finally speak up when the tension became intense.It was the girl dressed in a maid suit."You...You don't remember?"She asked and all Avila could do was shake her head and their expressions fell,like they were disappointed.

"Miss?are you sure you don't remember?I am your butler,Carl's my name.And you are Avila.The daughter of the Duke Rosea.Remember?"

I told you I don't remember!That's why I said I don't remember!I don't even know all of you!

"No.Sorry-"

Ugh.My head!

She subconsciously pulled out her hair and there was an instense pain from her head,like it was gonna explode and their eyes fell on her.They panicked and wondered what to do.

As (Avila)Astrid's head was aching,there voice were faint.Abruptly,someone's memories absorbed into her mind madly.It hurts.She felt that something was crushing her head and she felt heavy but for a few seconds in a sudden matter of time,her body felt light and the next thing she knew she fell into the darkness again.

"Hello,Astrid."

Astrid instantly opened her eyes by the sudden voice near her as she saw herself-,no her new self sitting beside her.She sit up and turn her eyes to the direction of Avila sitting beside her.

"Y-you...You are the real Avila!"

"That's correct."She replied with a cold tone.

"Then how am I here?I am supposed to dead!But why am I still alive?Did we exchange souls?No...you can have your body back—"

Avila quickly shut her up by gently putting her finger against her lips and there eyes met and unexpectedly Avila smiled.

"You are a cheeky one,huh?I'll explain to you clearly.I am Avila.And you are also Avila.So we are one."

Astrid gently pushed her hands away and protested."No I am not!I am Astrid!And you are Avila!"She pointed at Avila.Then continued."I wasn't suppose to be in your body!I was supposed to be dead and I am dead serious so stop looking at me with your grinning face."

"HAHAH!You are one funny Avila."

"Hey!Didn't I just told you that I am Astrid?"

"Okay.Fine,you were Astrid... but not anymore."Avila suddenly stopped smiling and her expression became blank.

Astrid was very confused.Confused as hell.

"What?What do you mean?"

"Astrid.No.Avila.I am sorry for asking you this...but-...I want you to replace me."Avila said and again she smiled but this time she looked sad.

Guilty abruptly filled Astrid's heart.

"W-wait!No!I don't want to replace you!Because you are you!And I am me!So don't go-..."

"Sorry...but I am about to disappear in this world."She said and Astrid's heart sunk for a moment then Avila continued."You know,I love my father and brother so much..even though they despised me...I also wanted to say to them before my death that even if they have never loved me,I will always love them.But too bad...my wish has already been granted.And they were too late."Avila explained with tears of...joy?or is it sorrow..No...it was both of them.

"Then why don't you come back.I am sure they will regret for neglecting you."Astrid who felt like she knew the situation,wiped Avila's tears away.

"I can't."She said coldly.

"Why?"

"Because...I am about to disappear from this world and I can't withdraw my wish,can I?"

"What?So you wished this upon yourself?.."Astrid was cut off when she saw Avila's hand slowly fading away along with the lower parts of her body.Her eyes widened in shock.

"I told you I am about to disappear from this world and I want you to replace me so that you can take care of my family while I am gone."

Astrid."..."

"Although the truth is...I am not even from here."

"What?"

"Never mind that,since you,Astrid...no,Avila are the ine who will replace me,I will give you all my memories and along with my name...and please live freely.And oh...don't forget that—"

And with that she faded away and Astrid,no Avila, was left utterly dumbfounded,then suddenly a beam of light flashed in her eyes.

Avila was awake 2 hours later after she fainted.And all the memories of the previous owner of the body absorbed within her and clearly now she became Avila.

Avila had already read this book(Star of the sea) when it started trending online during 2018.And God!She doesn't wanna lie...the book was full of drama.

But she doesn't also want to admit it but...she loves the drama plots on the story.

Like how the male lead forgot all his memories with the heroine and even almost tried to kill her because of the villainess manipulating his back.But when the male lead started to regain his consciousness he simply regret and kept apologizing to the heroine for his mistakes and even blamed the villainess after.

This simply makes her want to shout if she was the heroine in that plot;"Yes!Suffer bi****!"

But all of these came later into the story...

But too bad,she didn't read it all as she diverted her attention to another book.And that was also the problem...

She did not expect that the book she had read who looked like it was purposefully poorly written was gonna be useful in the future.

The plot like the same as those famous fairytales goes... falling in love at first sight and they got married.

'But I also have a question...how did I find this book interesting for me to read?Like all of these are simply out of destiny.And now we are talking about destinies?'

The story was like in the fairy tales like for an instance,the story of Cinderella...but no offence when she was a kid she loved watching it.It was like she was watching a dream that could never come true because true love doesn't exist.And of course she hasn't experience any love yet.

Although the main roles were given a lot of attention in the book,those whose roles were unimportant were completely thrown away.Like they got yeeted out of the book.

Tragedgy was received for the villains while the main characters just lived happily ever after.

The plot started with a family of three living happily in their private residence,the Romania Palace.

The husband and wife had a son,named Garett.They all lived in a happy normal life,despite of being nobles.They all loved each other so deeply that there expectation of making a new family member would even make them more happy.

Unfortunately, the Duchess died by giving a premature birth to the first girl in the family and so this became a problem.

Once,because of the duchess's death,the girl received resentment from her family.

Obviously, the duchess was already weak since young and rarely succeeded to gave birth to the son of the Duke Rosea.

Due to this incident, the duke cannot help but blame his first daughter for killing his beloved wife and regretted for having one.

Her brother also ended up hating her in the end.Like father like son as the saying goes.

Contrary to that,while isolating themselves away from her,she lived feebibly and stayed in bed often as she was a premature baby her body was slowly failing her.

Inside the Romania Palace whose place was known to be lively completely became gloomy.But years later they suddenly stumble upon a girl named Mary.

And that girl was the heroine of the story.When they first saw her,their hearts instantly melt and this is how their life became colorful again!'Wowie'...'How amazing'.Avila sarcastically reacted.

As soon as she was taken in,she was renamed "Marianne".

The duke favored her so much for her charm that he can't even help but raise her as her own daughter.The son of the duke was also getting along with the heroine.

Naturally, the first daughter felt upset and devastated as soon as she heard the news. Then as they got older, the son of the duke began to develop feelings of the heroine even though he was already engaged and he even forgot that they were clearly adopted siblings!And also because of these, the first villainess of the novel arrives.

As the result of this kind of trouble, the main villainess, the fiance of the son of the Duke Rosea starts to harass the heroine every time when Garett is not with her. Even though the villainess never loved her fiance, she was humiliated by the people's gossips.

"I pitied that the fiance of the son of the duke of Romania never cared for his fiance..."

"Yeah!so pitiful..."

"why did she even got engage to him?"

"is she stupid?"

By those rumors, it hurt her pride and her reputation was ruined.

Therefore, she decided to take revenge by making the heroine's life a mess. She humiliated her in front of the people around her and even tried to make her friends turn their back on her.

The villainess wasn't the only one who wants her life ruined though, the heroine's adopted sister sided with the villainess.

She helped her by spreading insults about the heroine, and she even thought that the villainess was helping her as her friend.She even believed this plan would work.

Earlier,I was like a panic little weakling wondering where to go,my death route? or the other way around? but now I have decided that when the heroine arrives,I will ran away or either let them think I have disappeared from their world.I will never follow the plot lines from now on if I wanna survive!

I want something that can boost my stamina instantly!

And also the birthmark in my right cheek is really ugly...I mean if I cover it up with make-up it will be better...but still the thickness won't disappear...

"Oh?!You forgot again.You are going to meet your father and brother,of course! aren't you excited that they will come home from their departure?"Sabrina exclaimed while joyfully combing my hair.

Today was the arrival of her father,brother and her adopted sister(a.k.a. the heroine) from their long departure.

Her maid was complimenting her of how a good person her young miss is who is completely misunderstanding the whole situation while Avila was internally sulking in her head.
