I am sitting on the toilet floor facing the toilet bowl that stinks with human vomit. The whole toilet rinks of alcohol.

"wait! I should be dead!" I realized I'm not dead.

I spring up to all my four limbs.

Jet black hair started covering my entire face.

"eh? Why did I grow such a long hair?"

I scratched my face trying to clear it with that messy hair.

"woo..f?" I was startled seeing a jadelike hands instead of paws.

I look at my limbs, checked my body and grab my fur that only grows on top of my head.

"Wait! I seem to have the physique like my partner!"

I covered my mouth. I could actually speak the human tounge.

"ah!!!" I screamed in pain.

Memories of a young lady started flooding in my head.

Crystal Park, orphaned at the age of 5. She was then sheltered by her kind uncle and aunty and then raised as one of their own. She is a graduate from Upright Police Academy. A loser who fails the exam a few times.

But driven by her dream to be a policewoman, she takes the exam every year and finally passes after 5 tries. That is to say, 5 years after she graduated.

I sweated buckets in nervousness.

Their was complete silence between the five of us.

The confrontation seemed to reach a stalemate.

"You stinks! Don't get near us." Lucy shouted and run off.

"Sorry Crystal, we are going. See us when you are already clean." Jewel also said and follows after Lucy. "Hey wait for me!"

"Hehe, looks like the night ends here buddy." Drake and Barry said in unison.

"Hey, don't go." I reach out my hands to hold them but like a swift sparrow both take a step back in unison.

I reached out twice, thrice, fourth and a fifth time but they agilely avoided my filthy hands.

Seeing their agile movements I started to move in the same pace but unexpectedly they ended both running off as if afraid of ghost.

"I just wanna ask if where is Purple district." I look at their departing backs and sighed.

I then walked to private room two. I sniffed and found a bag with same smell as this body.

"this must be hers."

I take it and head for the exit.

I flagged a taxi the way I remember my handler does. When he walks me out, we sometimes take a taxi back.

"pp.. pur.. Purple District, Ling..long a..partment." I give him my address directly eventhough I stutter.

"Purple District, Linglong apartment?" The driver confirmed my address.

I nod my head.

"Are you having a sore throat? sigh, the weather is unpredictable this days so its common." The driver continued to talk to me.

I just ignore him because I don't wanna talk. I am not yet well-versed with the human language, I might embarass myself if I try too hard this time. I might as well just stay silent indicating that I do not wish to communicate.

The driver then focus himself on the road.

Sigh, I breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking outside the window. My eyes lit up with adoration.

The neon lights on a buzzling city is indeed gorgeous at night. They look like stars illuminating the surrounding brilliantly with its vibrant colors.

I pasted my face on the window glass to take a better look at it.

"wow." I am amazed. This are the things humans enjoy.

Now that I'm in a human body, I might as well make myself get used to the human ways. because I do not know wether me occupying this body is temporary or permanent.

After 20 minutes, the taxi slowed down and then stopped.

"We're here. That's 50 dollars"

I rummaged my bag and find a square thing that looks like the thing my handler always has with him. If I am right, it contains what the driver is asking for.

I opened it and found a few notes. I picked one and hand it to the driver. Then I alighted the taxi and run to the building.

The driver look at the bill on his hand, 10 dollars. The driver do not know how to react, he look at the running back of her passenger, "Swindler. tsk. tsk."

Then he drove off.

I then started climbing the stair.

Without me knowing a lady is just nearby. " Why did crystal used the stairs to her floor? Is the elevator broken?"

There comes the elevator with a couple going out of it.

"I guess she's out for an evening jog. No wonder she seems fit." the lady mumbled.

I have no idea elevator is an option. While here I am reaching 4th floor with my tounge out.

" ooohhh... I miss my four paws." I looked at the dainty hands of this body and wanted to cry.

Still I struggle to reach 10th floor.

With keys in hand, I inserted it the doorknob and turned it.
