Everything For The Throne
Intro
The world in which the story takes place is a medieval kingdom called Eldoria. Eldoria is a realm filled with lush landscapes, sprawling castles, and quaint villages. The kingdom is known for its rich history, grandeur, and a strict hierarchical system that governs society.
The capital city of Eldoria is a bustling hub of activity, where the Royal Palace stands tall, a symbol of power and authority. The city is adorned with ornate architecture, cobbled streets, and marketplaces where merchants sell their wares. The palace itself is a magnificent structure, housing the royal family, the council, and the administrative offices.
Magic exists in this world, but it is a subtle and mysterious force. There are whispers of ancient spells, mystical artifacts, and individuals with latent magical abilities, although such occurrences are rare. Magic is viewed with a mix of awe, fear, and skepticism, with only a select few having true mastery over its secrets.

Chapter I (part 1)
[Reina is angrily smashing things, letting out her frustration.]
Reina
[Grumbling] This is ridiculous! The king wants me to teach Bennett swordsmanship?
Reina
As if that's the only thing standing between him and the throne.
Reina
If it were up to me, I'd have taken the crown long ago.
[Reina hears a noise and stops smashing things. She turns to see a figure entering through the window.]
Reina
Who dares enter my chambers uninvited?
Gabriel
Calm down, princess.
Gabriel
Just your loyal shadow guard coming to check on the damage you've done.
Gabriel
Quite the mess in here.
Reina
Gabriel, not now. I'm in no mood for your jests.
Gabriel
My apologies, Your Highness.
Gabriel
But I couldn't help but notice your anger. What's the matter?
Reina sighs and sits on the edge of her bed.
Reina
The king ordered me to teach Bennett swordsmanship.
Reina
Can you believe it? The only thing holding him back from the throne is his lack of skill with a blade.
Gabriel
Well, I suppose I could offer a simple solution.
Gabriel
Get rid of the entire council. Clear the path for you.
Reina glares at Gabriel, shaking her head.
Reina
Killing them won't solve anything.
Reina
Even if a new council is appointed, they'll still be against me. In this kingdom, women are seen as less capable.
Reina
They won't easily accept a female ruler.
Gabriel
[Smirking] Ah, but imagine the chaos it would cause. Just a thought, my princess. You know I'd do anything for you.
Reina
Save your antics, Gabriel. This is a serious matter. I need to think strategically. I can't afford any missteps.
[As they continue their conversation, a knock is heard on the door.]
Reina
Gabriel, someone's at the door. Quickly, hide. No one in the castle knows about your existence.
Gabriel's playful demeanor fades, replaced by a cold, serious expression.
Gabriel
As you wish, Your Highness. Remember, I am always here, whether seen or unseen.
Gabriel swiftly moves towards the window, blending into the shadows as he disappears from sight. Reina takes a deep breath, steadying herself.
The door opens, and a maid cautiously steps into the room.
Beatrice
Your Highness, I apologize for the intrusion. I have important news.
Beatrice
Your elder sister, Princess Eleanor, has returned home for a visit. She just arrived after a year since her marriage.
Reina
Eleanor? She's here? I wasn't expecting her so soon. Thank you for informing me.
Reina
Please, clean up this mess while I gather myself. I want everything in order before she sees it.
Beatrice
[Princess Eleanor... a lady of grace and poise. It's always tense whenever Reina and Eleanor are under the same roof. Reina's fierce nature and sharp tongue make her presence intimidating to all, including the maids.]
Beatrice
Of course, Your Highness. I'll attend to it right away.
As the maid starts tidying up the room, Reina's mind races with thoughts of her sister's return and the weight of her responsibilities.
Reina
[I can't just train Bennett, I need to find an excuse to escape this]
Chapter 1 (Part II)
Reina
(with a sharp tone) So, Eleanor, enjoying your luxurious life in the neighboring kingdom?
Currently all the Royal Siblings are in dinning room waiting for the King's arrivial
Eleanor
(defensively) And what would you know about it, Reina? You're always too busy playing soldier to understand anything else.
Reina
(mockingly) Soldier? Is that how you see it? I protect this kingdom, Eleanor, something you wouldn't understand.
Eleanor
(irritated) Oh, please! You think your swordsmanship makes you invincible? Well, newsflash, Reina, there's more to ruling than swinging a blade!
Bennett, observing the exchange, decides to interject, hoping to defuse the tension.
Bennett
Now, now, let's not let our differences tear us apart. We're family, after all.
Reina turns her piercing gaze towards Bennett, her eyes filled with frustration
Reina
(sarcastically) Oh, Bennett, the ever-optimistic peacemaker. You know very well that being family doesn't automatically mean we have to like each other.
Bennett
(smiling) True, true. But perhaps we can find common ground amongst our differences. After all, we all want what's best for the kingdom, don't we?
Eleanor, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes, interrupts the conversation.
Eleanor
Please, Bennett, spare us your idealistic belief. Reina and I have always been at odds, and I doubt that will change anytime soon.
Reina
(leaning in, her voice low and cold) You're right, Eleanor. It's a shame, really. We could have been a formidable force if you hadn't been so fixated on your own desires.
Tension in the room only kept increasing making other siblings awkward
But none of them interject between the conversation because they have seen these both grew up
No one, except Bennett, did anything rather then eyeing each other
Eleanor
(through gritted teeth) And what about you, Reina? Always craving power, ready to trample anyone who stands in your way. Is that the ruler you aspire to be?
Reina's eyes flash with anger as she retorts.
Reina
I won't deny my ambition, 'Sister'. But unlike you, I understand the weight of responsibility. This kingdom needs a strong leader, not someone distracted by trivialities.
Bennett, sensing the tension escalating, steps forward once again, his voice was calm and measured.
Bennett
We may have different paths and aspirations, but we are bound by blood. It would be a shame if we let our differences tear our family apart. Perhaps we can find a way to support each other, even if we have our own ambitions.
Reina
Please shut up Bennett
Before the tension can escalate further, the doors swing open, and the king's imposing figure fills the room.
King Kendrick
What is the meaning of this bickering? We are here to celebrate our family, not engage in petty squabbles.
Reina and Eleanor immediately straighten their postures, their previous argument momentarily forgotten.
Reina
(with forced politeness) Of course, Father. We were merely discussing... matters of the kingdom.
King Kendrick
Save those discussions for more appropriate settings. Tonight is a time for unity, not division.
The siblings exchange glances, the undercurrent of rivalry still simmering beneath their composed facades.
King Kendrick
Alright let's dine
