After a certain chapter, there will be a new Introduction with some new characters but they aren't introduced yet because that would only make things more complicated. There are people in the world, that really do have diseases like this one, please take a moment and think of them. They had a normal life until one day, they got a medical note that said they would die, if they didn't get a replacement organism. If you know someone like this, I hope that they get the organism they need and can have a happy life. For everyone else, never forget, being able to live, isn't to be taken for granted. Live your life the way you want to, not the way someone else wants you to. Never forget that.

- BLACKPINK is a very popular k-pop girl group. The members are Rosé, Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa. Rosé lately has set the record for the most YouTube views in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist, garnering 41.6million views with “On The Ground”.

Noah sat in front of the room his brother was in. Only half an hour ago they had been walking through the streets talking when a car came around the corner at full speed. Jason, Noah's brother had pushed him aside because the car was obviously aiming to hit him and got hit himself. Someone saw it and called the cops immediatly. Noah felt like it was his fault. It was his idea to sneak out without any bodyguards even though he knew that there weren't few enemies of his father out there, willing to pay someone to kill him.

..."You ok? I saw you when I went out of my room over there."...

The girl pointed down the hallway.

..."So I thought I come and cheer you up. It can't be that bad, can it?"...

Noah just buried his head in his hands and shook his head.

..."Well, you won't be getting in that room for a while... the sign says the doctors will be in there for another hour. How about I take you to the cafeteria?"...

She didn't really wait for his response but pulled him up and pulled him into a direction. He shook off her hand but followed her. She slowed down so he could walk next to her.

..."*Is that your brother in there?"...

..."Yeah*."...

She nodded as if she knew how he felt.

..."Where are your parents?"...

...^^^"My father's busy. My mother's gone. It doesn't matter anyways."^^^...

..."*Parents always matter."...

..."Not for me. They were never for me anyways."...

..."Look, my parents were never there for me either. I know how you feel."...

..."Oh so you know what it feels like to have the feeling your parents are dead*?!"...

Noah didn't plan on getting mad at her, but he was so angry at his father, at his mother and at himself right now that he couldn't ignore it.

..."Yeah I do. My parents are dead."...

..."Oh god, sorry. I.. I just blurted that out."...

She laughed and then grinned at him.

..."*Its fine. Could of been worse. Once, when I was at the graveyard, an elder asked me if I was visiting the grave of my grandparents."...

..."Oh... that's kind of... well, harsh."...

..."Yeah*."...

She pointed to a door.

..."We're here. The cafeteria is pretty close to your brothers room."...

She walked up to the door and opened if for him.

..."*The cafeteria is actually only for patients that are here long term, but everyone can take a visitor with them so its find."...

..."Thanks. What's actually your name? I just noticed I never asked or told you mine."...

..."I'm Sarah. I'm 14 years old and am a long term patient in this hospital. But in a few months it'll be over*."...

Noah thought he saw a flash of sadness as she said the last part but he soon forgot it.

..."*I'm Noah. 15 years old. Why are you in the hospital?"...

..."I have a disease. Not really interesting."...

..."Oh. I hope you get better soon*."...

Sarah smiled and sat down at a table near the entrance. He sat down across from her.

..."Let's stop talking about the sad stuff."...

He exhaled.

..."*What if my life is made of sad stuff?"...

..."You could a worse life."...

Sarah went and got herself an apple.

..."If you want anything to eat just take it."...

..."Thanks. What time is it actually?"...

..."Uhmm... 4:42 P.M. You can see your brother in about half an hour."...

Noah nodded and got out his phone. He quickly texted someone.

..."*Who are you writing to?"...

..."A friend of mine. We were actually gonna meet in the city today."...

..."Oh... what actually happened? I mean... if you want to talk about it... like if.."...

..."Someone planned on hitting me with a car. My brother pushed me aside and got hit himself. That's why it's my fault."...

..."Why should someone want to kill you?!"...

..."My fathers name is Drew Stark. Also known as the rich CEO of XXX."...

..."Oh... that's your father?!"...

..."Yes."...

She say there silently.

..."*So you're rich."...

..."And famous bla bla bla."...

..."Why do you talk to me then? Shouldn't I be too average for you or something?!"...

..."So you think that of me now?"...

..."I... I mean... wouldn't this ruin your reputation?"...

..."I don't really care. I think we should go back to my brothers room, it's about time they are finished."...

..."Ok. ... You aren't angry at me for saying the average stuff, right?"...

..."Its ok. I don't take stuff like that to heart too much*."...

They went back to the room in silence. Sarah still looking kind of embarrassed.

They sat in front of the room till a doctor came out. Noah immediatly jumped up and asked how Jason was.

..."I'm very sorry, but... your brothers lungs were smashed. He'll either be connected to a dive that pumps air into his lungs for the rest of his life... or we... make things easier for him."...

Noah heard how Sarah gasped and he himself just stared at the doctor.

..."I'm really sorry, but there's nothing we can do for him.... we have already contacted your father. He said you can decide what we do."...

..."*Can I see my brother first? I..."...

..."Of course. He can still talk and everything is still intact...but he has a great amount of pain because part of the broken bones of his ribcage have cut holes into his lungs too. We can't fix it... it's too big of a risk I'd you want to keep him alive*..."...

The doctor opened the door for Noah and waved Sarah in.

..."He'll need emotional support."...

Sarah nodded and followed Noah. It was shocking. A boy, younger than Noah but with a similar appearance, layed on a pile of pillows on top a hospital bed. He was connected to all sorts of devices and wore an air mask. Noah slowly walked up to him and sat down on a chair next to him.

..."Jason? I'm sorry. This is all my fault. I should be the one laying here."...

Jason's eyes opened.

..."*B...roth...er..."...

..."I'll take care of this, ok Jason*?"...

Noah slightly was hyperventilating.

..."*I'll figure something out... I'll..."...

..."It's... ok.... No..ah... Not... your... fa..ult*..."...

Noah started crying. Sarah put a hand on his shoulder. Jason's eyes looked at her.

..."Hi, I'm Sarah. I'm also a patient in this hospital."...

Jason blinked. Sarah guessed he was trying to smile. Noah had recovered from the emotional outbreak.

..."Brother... you know I won't let them kill you, right? Drew let me make the decision... I won't kill you. I couldn't."...

It surprised Sarah that he called his father by his first name while talking to his brother. Saying "my father" instead of dad is already kinda cold but calling him as of them were only friends? That was just harsh. His father most likely didn't care though.

Soon after, the doctors asked them to leave so Jason could sleep.

..."*Are you coming again tomorrow?"...

..."Most likely. I can't just let him be on his own. Alone*."...

..."*If it's ok with you, I could visit him while you're at school. Keep him some company. I'll drop by and say hi while you're there too, if it's ok of course."...

..."Yeah, if would be nice if you could take care of him. You can come by if you want. No offense, but... why are you so nice to me? Is it because of my father?"...

..."No offense taken. I'm nice to you because you are in hard times right now and I know how it feels to be alone in this state. Also, I think you're nice and I don't have a lot of friends*."...

She hugged him as a goodbye and walked to her room, greeting a few people on the way. She must be here pretty long since she knows everyone so good.

It went on like this for the next month: Sarah takes care of brother during the day, Noah visits him, Sarah and Noah do something together. They never left the hospital though. Then one day, Noah asked her exactly that while they were in the cafeteria.

..."*Sarah? Why haven't I ever seen you outside of the hospital? It seems like you are always inside."...

..."All patients, even the one that are fully capable of going outside alone like me, need someone to go with them. My best friend does that with me sometimes, but she's the daughter of some rich guy, so she can't visit me that often because he doesn't like* trash *like me."...

..."You aren't trash! But anyways, how about we go into the city together? A bodyguard will go with us, but otherwise we could do that!"...

..."Really?! Thanks! When do you want to go?"...

..."Well, we can go tomorrow. Its Saturday and I have a ton of time. I'll pick you up at 10, alright?"...

..."Cool! See you tomorrow then*!"...

Noah went to go say goodbye to his brother before leaving and stopped at his room. As he opened the door, his father came out.

..."*What are you doing here?"...

..."I'm here to see my son. I can do that, can't I?"...

..."Whatever."...

..."I'll leave then. I'll send a new driver when I get to the house."...

..."Ok*."...

His father left quickly not saying goodbye or see you later or something. Noah turned to Jason. Jason had figured out how to speak better now and didn't talk with any difficulties now.

..."*What were you so happy about when you came in?"...

..."What?"...

..."When you came in, you seemed really happy. Why?"...

..."Oh I'm just going into the city with her tomorrow. She can't leave this place alone so I thought I'd take her with me*."...

Jason thought for a second.

..."She is good for you."...

..."What do you mean?"...

..."You're happier and less stiff when she's around."...

..."Really? I never noticed."...

..."Do you like her?"...

..."I don't know. Maybe. I was never in a relationship before. I don't know what it is like to like someone."...

Jason laughed.

..."Yeah. The girls in your class must be so depressed. I bet you that more than half of them like you and try their best to be in your favor."...

..."I doubt that and even if, they'd be liking Drew's money."...

..."Why do you always call him that? He's our father."...
