Hi, My name is Ryu and today is my first day being a second-year high school student. I'm not a good-looking guy also I'm not popular in my school, I like to be alone and I just want to conserve my energy by sleeping. In other words, I'm an introvert.

So today is my first day, I go to school and search for my section, I'm in class B and I like it. Student in class A is always hype in studying that's why I like that I'm in class B.

I'm in my room right now, some faces look familiar to me and I think they are my classmates from last year but I don't know their names. They are getting noisy and I don't like it, I just want to skip my class right now.

"Okay class let's start,"  our teacher said

"Damn, our teacher is here," I said to my mind when our teacher started to talk in front of us.

after a few minutes of discussion...

"Sorry teacher!" late girl student said

"it's your first day of school and you're late!" our teacher replied

Our teacher and the late girl keep on talking in front of our room...

Lots of my classmates laugh at the late student and I think the late student is feeling down because of what happened. Her chair is next to my chair so she is my seatmate from now on. I look at her and I think it's my first time seeing her in our school, she has long black hair and a pretty face and I had a feeling that she's an introvert too, well once an introvert knows how to feel to be an introvert.

Lunch Break...

It's lunch break time and I think I will eat alone again, I'm going now to my favorite spot, I'm going to our rooftop.  It's very windy there and also there are no people there at lunchtime that's why I always eat my lunch on the rooftop but today I was surprised when I saw a girl on the rooftop.

It's the late girl earlier what is she doing here?

maybe starting now I will find my new spot...

"Hey, can we eat lunch together?" the girl said

I'm feeling nervous at that time and I don't know what to say. It's my first time in high school life that someone wants to eat lunch with me.

"Mmmmm"

"Okay if you don't want I'm leaving," the girl said again

The girl started to walk and I'm breathing deeply to start to talk to her.

"y-yes" I replied with a shaking voice

She looks at me and then she smiled, she took my hand and we go to the corner of the rooftop. She started to open her lunchbox and she keeps on talking to me.

I'm feeling nervous to make a conversation with her, she just keeps on talking while I just keep on nodding my head.

"Hey, what's your name?" the girl asked

"My name is Ryu" I replied...

finally, I already say a word, a very short word...

"Ow, nice to meet you!"

"My name is Rika!"  Rika said

I spend my lunch with her, she's very annoying, clingy and noisy but I feel a little bit of happiness because of this experience and I hope we eat lunch again tomorrow.

It's morning and I'm going to school again. I feel lazy but there is a little feeling that grows to me and it is what you called excitement. I don't know why but I feel it, it's my first time feel excited to go to school maybe because of the girl that I met yesterday.

"Damn, why am I feeling like this?"

After I eat my breakfast and leave my house I started to go to my school.

I'm already now in my classroom but I think I'm very early so I decided to walk around to my school. I saw an art club and then I go inside the room. There are lots of paintings there that are so beautiful and I feel like I want to join the art club because I like to paint too but my other self telling me that I just want to paint alone and I don't want my paintings to be seen by someone.

After a minute I go back to my room, I sit in my chair and my class started.

"I think she'll be late again," my mind tells me.

It's already lunchtime and I'm going to the rooftop again. I'm going to eat alone again because Rika is absent. When I'm already on the rooftop I saw Rika at the corner of the rooftop. I saw Rika there sitting while her head is on her knees and her hands are hugging her legs. I feel nervous again, I don't know how to start a conversation with her so I sit beside her.

I touch her shoulder and I tell her name...

"R-Rika?"

I heard her breathing deeply and then she looks at me with her eyes that is reddish.

"Hello, Ryu!" Rika said...

I don't know what to tell her but I think that she is crying. I want to talk to her about it and why she did not go to our room earlier but I can't tell her. We eat our lunch together again but this time she is so quiet. After we eat our lunch together she finally starts to talk to me.

"Sorry for earlier if you saw me crying," Rika said...

I replied by nodding my head.

We're sitting there for half an hour she didn't talk to me anymore. I want to talk to her because I'm curious about what happened to her but I can't talk.

A few minutes I saw her eyes became teary again, I move closer to her, I tap her shoulder, and give her my handkerchief. She looks at me and then she gets my handkerchief.

"I broke up with my boyfriend today," Rika said...

I was shocked when I heard the reason for Rika. I don't know how to comfort her, I don't know what words can make her feel better so I decided to put her head on my shoulder and I said...

"Just cry"

After what I said Rika put her head on my shoulder and then she started to cry. After a minute of crying, she became quiet again and when I look at her she already falls asleep on my shoulder. I think our class is starting right now but Rika is still sleeping on my shoulder so I decided to be by her side.

After three hours of sleeping, she finally woke up and then realize that she's been sleeping for a long time she looked at me and said that...

"I'm sorry you did not attend our class because of me"

I answer her by nodding my head again.

She started to talk again but the school janitor sees us.

"Hey! What are you two doing there?!" The school janitor said...

We are reported by the janitor to our guidance office and I and Rika spend our time at the office.

At the end of the day, before we take our path to go to our home Rika talks to me.

"Thank you for earlier, Ryu," Rika said...

And again I answer her by nodding my head.

"You always reply to me by nodding your head," she said while her lips are pouting.

"By the way, I'm going home, thank you again Ryu"

Before she leaves she looks at me while her lips are starting to curve her cheeks. 

I see a beautiful smile today and I think I did a great job. Someday I want to see those smiles again, I want to see her smile again.

One week later Rika and I became close also I can make a conversation with her even if it's just a little. Maybe I'm tired of always nodding my head so I'm starting to talk a little. We always eat lunch together also we're always together she's my friend now and I'm feeling happy about that. Rika always put her two hands in my biceps and I'm starting to get rid of it even though sometimes some might say we are a couple. One day at our school when I go to the rooftop I saw Rika talking with someone, they talk sincerely and I think the boy is apologizing to her.

One day later when Rika and I are taking lunch on the rooftop she talks about what happens yesterday. She told me that it was her ex and her ex wants them to be together again. When Rika said those things I became happy about her, I think she will become happier if they are couples again.

"Will I give him a chance?" Rika ask me

I don't know how to answers Rika's question because I have never been in a relationship before but I just said that...

"No matter what's your decision I will support you"

Rika smiled at me and she says...

"thank you"

A few days later Rika and her ex are starting to go out again, they are not back in their relationship but I think her ex seriously wants their relationship to be back. Every lunch break Rika always tells me about her ex, if what they are now or what the real score about them and I just kept on supporting them and I'm very happy for them.

while we are preparing for our school festival...

My teacher assigns me to be an extra for our class presentation, first I don't want it but Rika pushes me so I became an extra while Rika became the female lead of our presentation. Rika became known to our school because of our practices, at first Rika is not popular but now lots of boys have a crush on her because the boys in our school see that Rika has a stunning beauty, and because of our practices Rika gains more friends.

And now the school festival started...

Our presentation will start after ten minutes. Our batch is getting busier while I'm just at the corner watching them because I'm already done with my work also helping them is too much cost of energy for me that's why I'm just sitting.

"Psstt!"

"Ryu!?"

Rika call me in a low voice

"What?" I replied...

"Come here," said Rika

After that, I decided to go to Rika while she ruined my process of storing my energy.

When I open the door and look at her I saw her back that is so white, she's dressing but she couldn't reach the zipper on her back.

"Can you please zipper my dress?" Rika said...

At that moment that I touch the zipper, I feel nervous and warm because I can see her lower back and I'm wondering how it feels when I touch it.

"Hey? Are you done?" Rika said again

so I zip her dress immediately then she turns to me and asks me...

" am I beautiful?"

At the moment she turns around me I saw her for the first time wearing a gown and damn she was so beautiful. The way her hair sway I can smell its scent that I like to smell more, her smile is the reason why  my heart beats faster, when she ask me and look at me it feels like I don't know, I don't know why I'm feeling like this right now It feels like my energy that I stored for a long time is melted for a second because of her.

"Hey?"

"Hello?"

"Ryu?" Rika said...

"Ow you're bea-

"Guys our male lead can't perform now we must find another male that can be our prince for our presentation"

Our teacher said...

My male classmates became excited about what they hear, they say that they want to be a volunteer.

"Also I forgot the male lead will kiss our female lead at the ending of the story so find a right good guy at acting," our teacher said...

So the boys in our room became happy but for me, they look like a dog wanting to bite the last bone on Earth.

Finally thanks to my teacher I can sit again because of his announcement.

"Rika? Do you know a guy who can suit our male lead role?" Our teacher asks again...

"Yes sir!" Rika answer immediately

"Okay, who is it?" Our teacher replied...

"It's Ryu!" Rika replied...

"WHHAAAAAAAATT!!??"

for the first time in my life, I shouted at school because of Rika...

Our teacher accepts Rika's suggestion and then Rika looks at me then smiles.

I wish I could die right now...
