I felt the cool breeze brush through my hair as watched the waves go back and forth and the fish swimming was delightful! Breathing in this fresh air was a great refresher. I saw a guy walking around in swimming trunks, he had an eight pack. I blushed hard. “Hey what do you think of the scenery?” He said. He had blonde curls that shone bright in the sun and emerald eyes that looked too real. “It’s great!” I replied enthusiastically. “Hah” he chuckled. His smile looked beautiful. He looked dreamily at the sky as he chuckled. I couldn’t hold back my smile. But quickly composed my self as he looked back.

I ran out of things to say. Then an idea struck me “ You haven’t seen the best part yet!” I said as I smiled. My break was almost over . Night rolled in to quickly I never wanted this moment to end. He waved and said “Adios!” As he walked away his blonde hair swaying in the evening sky. I almost had a heart attack my smile was too hard to hold in and my blush got into a tomato red all over my face. “Mackenzie get over here your breaks over!!” James the lifegaurd yelled. I quickly took off my jacket and tied it around my waist. “Coming!” I yelled. I ran to the pool gasping for breath. “Your late!” James said angrily. His brown hair was dripping wet and his red trunks dripped. When I fist came here I was enchanted by his body but I soon got over it by how bad his attitude was. “I know, but you can’t blame me the night sky is too pretty to take my eyes off.” I replied in an out of breath tone but sweet voice. He sighed. “Fine, But don’t be late next time.” He said with his ears a little bit red. Hah I laughed inside he acts all cold when he’s very sweet. “ Don’t worry I won’t.” I said smiling but sweat dripping off my chin.

James left the pool and I placed my jacket in the life guard chair and walked to stand and blow my whistle in case anyone got hurt. My phone ringed it was James. “Don’t forget if you let anyone get hurt $100 will be deducted fromyour pay.” He texted. “Don’t worry, I promise I won’t let anyone get hurt!😁” Smiley face. This guy was a tsundra and I was loving his reactions. The boat swayed. “Huh?” I said aloud. We were headed for a large rock. My eyes went wide with terror. I ran to my cabin as fast as I could. I grabbed my bag already packed. Why was it already packed? Well I was planing on leaving this “cruise” sooner or later to peruse my dream of being a doctor. I ran into the hallway exhausted. The water was rushing in. It was already at my knees and worst of all I can’t swim. You’re probably wondering why I became a lifeguard, well I became one because we were low on staff and no one else would take the job so I became the Ginny pig for the manager. I waded through the water but I couldn’t go fast enough. The water was at my hips now. Then I noticed something there was something red in the water I saw a body laying face down in the water I got sick to my stomach. Then I saw another one and another a thought struck me “the Captain didn’t eat.” But I pushed that thought to the back of my mind no time to think of that now I thought. I hurried through the winding hallways, to the stairs and on my way I saw many, many bodies. I got to the stairs now the water was up to my chest and the hall ways were almost fully submerged underwater. I climbed my way to the the stairs and pulled my self out of the water shivering now. I rested for a couple of minutes then I heard a small cry for help coming from one of the hallways. A small kid was swimming through the debris covered water. I couldn’t see the kid but I could make out his figure he was wearing trunks with waves and sharks at the bottom. He come swimming toward the stairs and it was Joseph! “Joseph!” I called. He saw me and his eyes lit up “Mackenzie!” He cried. He went under the water and my fear rose but he came back up coughing and sputtering out the water. He quickly swimmer to the stairs and I hugged him tightly. A thought struck me are we Stranded?

That thought struck me like a rock in the face. I was sicker than ever. This has never happened before ever! This cruise has never crashed or sinked! Was this bad luck or was this intentional? The Captain didn’t eat. This thought came back stronger and harder. Wait why was everyone laying face down in the water? My head hurts. “Are you okay?”Joseph asks. “I’m fine just a migraine.” “Are we going to get out of here?” Joseph asks warily. “Maybe.” I reply. Joseph was sent here to recuperate after seeing his parents murdered and his grandmother is rich so she sent Joseph here to help his mind. I first met Joseph when I was cleaning every guests room I was balancing towels in one hand and opening doors with the other. I was trying to open room 772 and the towels were about to topple over and Joseph ran to grab them before they fell over. Together we fixed the rooms and he was my helper from then on. James taught him how to swim while I sat on the sidelines watching and cheering him on.

The stairs were being covered by debris and the way out was completely gone. We heard some people wading through the water we turned to them and looked surprised it was the Allison couple and mrs. Allison had a wound on her side. My stomach churned at the sight of blood and I remembered the hallway with the people there layin face down. That thought of the captain was wrong the captain was a great person I don’t have proof of that but he wouldn’t do that to his crew or his guests right? I rushed to the Allison couple and helped them up the stairs mrs. Allison was sitting on the red carpet the blood and carpet were blending together. I checked my phone and saw a text from James he said he was on the deck watching the water rising and told me to hurry I tried to reply but I had no connection. I sighed we were in a tough situation we had no medical supplies and we had a wounded person on top of they they we’re aged. We had a kid and an adult that not been trained at all and can’t swim. We were like the most unprepared group we had no food no water and this place was filling with water every second. We were almost submerged and we can’t go back out through the hallways because there filled with water. We can’t go on like this Joseph can swim and mr.Allison has at least some medical knowledge at least were not completely unprepared. Sigh. “Are we ready?” I asked. I can provide some help with clearing the stairs and mr.Allison can attend to his wife. Are we ready to get ready and clear a way to the deck?

The End Of ch. 2

We worked tirelessly for hours but we only cleared the minimum wreckage. “ The water was now at the highest stair and the carpet was soaked. I’m thinking of a way to get us out of here. *Crack* “huh?” Joseph said. We looked up the ceiling was cracking. *Crack, crack, crack*. “Jo-Jo-Joseph” I said I started to run towards Joseph. “Joseph!!!!” We all yell. “No!!” Mr. Allison yells. *Crack*

The ceiling caves in...... Dust comes from the caved in ceiling. I stand there frozen my legs shake, my breathing grows rapid, and my heart beat fastens. “Joseph?” I squeak. I fall to my knees devastated by the sound my eyes tear up. *Sob* “Joseph!!” I yell in frustration from tears. “Nooooo!!!!!!” Mr. and Mrs. Allison scream.

I get up and dig through the wreckage “Mack-Mackenzie?” I hear a small voice say. “Joseph!!” I say through tears. Mr. and Mrs. Allison’s faces brighten. I quickly dig up Joseph are you okay?! His leg was crushed under some metal and wood. I pried at the metal but it wouldn’t budge the water was now at my feet and we had a way out but Joseph wasn’t able to move.

“Leave me!” Joseph tells us. “No, I can’t do that!” I say worried. I pry harder at the metal it moved a little bit. I had cut my hand while doing so. I couldn’t accept this I pried, at the metal until finally it fell into the water creating a large splash. I picked Joseph up and put him on my back. The way the wreckage fell had slanted so we climbed up but Mr. Allison andMrs. Allison stayed behind saying they would come up after Mrs. Allison was stable. We climbed to the deck and saw a crowd (mostly hot guys)of people hudling together on the end of the ship we walked over and saw water was flooding in faster then it was earlier. We saw some bodys coming out of the hole in the ship and the water turned red. Some people started to throw up.we had tofu d a way off this boat I then remembered the captain,so I headed to where the captain steered the boat. I put Joseph down on a chair and walked to the communication station and talked through the walkie talkie all I heard was static I looked around still keeping my mind on the radio, I found a book while searching I was mortified by what was in the book.
