The wind was rustling the trees, rain pattering down around the young Tom as he made his way through the low branches and bushes of the Forest, the small kit in his large jaws hanging down by his scruff as he was carried. The Tom moved hastily through the Forest glancing back every now and then through paranoia, he knew he had gotten far enough away for the pack of stray dogs to have given up but he couldn't help but be worried, he had to be, his brother was all he had left, the dogs had came into their home in the dead of night causing the place to look like a murder scene, his parents and other kin all over the place some in bits, he'd never ran so quick in his life, the only thought on his mind was getting his brother out and safe, he'd held back the tears for his sake, there was no time for crying only making sure his brother made it out alive.

After about 20 minutes of running the young Tom slowed down, his ears flickering slightly on alert listening to everything around him as he walked through the bushes and low branches the kit still hanging in his jaws.

"We should be safe around here" The young Tom muttered shakily as he placed the kit down gently onto the grass, the rain pattering down onto them both wetting their long fur, he'd hang his long bushy tail over the kits small body keeping the rain from him as they walked some more further into the forest just to be safe.

"Pale, wheres mama, papa and the others?" The kit asked stuttering slightly in confusion, Pale had kept him from seeing the blood bath that was their family so he was completely clueless.

"Don't worry Sol, we're just going on a little trip okay? The others are fine" His heart pained having to lie but he had no choice how could you tell a kit his family was brutally ripped to shreds by rabid stray dogs.

"But it's raining" The kit complained with a pout bouncing around trying to bite Pales tail above him.

"The rain will clear up soon Bean I swear" Pale glanced to him with a smile patting his tail on his head. They continued walking for a while before coming to a stop, the rain stopped batting down around them, the moon shining through the clouds above.

"Told ya" He'd laugh slightly watching the kit come out from under his tail bouncing around the grassy Forest land.

They'd sit down under a tree taking a break. Pale let out a long yawn shaking his head to wake himself up. The Toms ears pirked up tall as loud rustling sounded around them, his heard skipped a beat as he grew panicked, his mind flashing with images from the scene before, the bloody muzzles of the dozen large dogs back at home, hearing their barks and snarls as they chased them through the forest and moorland, Pales breathing grew shakey as he grabbed the kit in his paws backing up into the tree behind them, his ears flat on his head and his pupils slits as he watched the bushes like a hawk, the loud rustling growing closer before some figures finally emerged...

The Figures finally entered the clearing out of the bushes, Pale held Sol in his paws, if they wanted to kitnap his brother they'd have to kill him first. Pale hissed a few times his claws digging into the grassy floor bellow as he was prepared to fight anything and anyone. His eyes widened slightly shocked to see not dogs, but other cats staring into his blue eyes with curiosity, they looked nearly as shocked as he did, his ears relaxed slightly lifting from their flat state on the back of his head.

"Another cat Oak!" A small she cat mumbled shaking onto one of the larger Tom's that stood beside her as she stared with awe at Pale and the kit.

"I can see that you numskull- And don't say my name!, they could be a spy you mouse brain" Oak hissed batting the she on the head in a scolding manner, still being mindful of her size however.

"I was just sayin'… " She mumbled with a pout, narrowing her eyes at him as she rubbed the back of her head with a small paw. Pale stared at the 4 of them like a hawk, still on high alert, they didn't seem like the smartest but he was taught not to underestimate anyone in this world.

"What's going on now" A deep raspy voice called from the bushes the cats had appeared from, a massive Tom appeared from the bush, a striking black pelt with grey tabby like splotches around his body and face distanced surprisingly evenly, One of his eyes blue and the other green.

"Found ourselves a cat sir" One of the Tom's called from the line, as the Massive void like Tom padded through the middle of them stopping next to Oak.

"So you have" Hed mumble, his deep vice raspy as he stared at Pale and Sol before turning to Oak. "Have you any idea where it came from? A name? Anything?" Hed pry into the smaller Tom with a judging stare.

"We only just found it sir, haven't had the chance" The smaller Tom stuttered slightly, his head dipped to the void beside him, the Tom's fur bristling slightly. The massive black pelted Tom narrowed his gaze rolling his eyes slightly before turning to Pale.

"State your name and purpose for being on our territory" The void Tom asked bluntly his eyes unwelcoming which made Pale all the more anxious. "Well?" The Tom persisted.

"My name is Pale- This is my brother Sol" He'd reply hesitantly pausing in between sentance before pausing entirely glancing down at Sol letting out a shakey exhale before starting to speak again. "Our home was attacked by rabid dogs, we're the only two left" He'd cover his brothers ears before awnsering. "We have nowhere to go, I don't know the area and we've been running for hours"

"Well best keep running, can't be on the territory if your not in the group" The Tom said bluntly with no sympathy in his raspy tone.

"Arrow! You can't leave them here, he has a kid for heavens sake!" The she called from the left end of the group in shock, her tone stern and serious. Oak gave her a side glare before punching her in the side with his paw.

"What did I say about telling our names to randomers" He groaned rubbing his head with his paw in frustration. Arrow glared slightly before pondering for a moment, finally speaking up after a few moments.

"Cmon" He'd mumble grumpily gesturing for Pale to follow. "Keep up" he'd call as he exited back through the bush they all appeared from. The she gave a smile.

"Cmon, the lead is great im sure she'll let you stay" She'd grin before padding into the Bush with the others. Pale finally gave in hesitantly, he scooped up Sol placing him on his back before following after them reluctantly.

It felt like they'd been walking for hours, was this really all their territory, they may as well have the whole forest to themselves Pale thought to himself in his head not wanting to voice his option all that much, the Void Tom was giving him the side glare so often he didn't dare speak. Pale slowed down some until he was next to the she from before, for some reason he felt safer next to her, like she'd stick up for him if this Arrow cat decides not to be so 'generous'.

"Not long now don't worry" The she had noticed his discomfort her tone becoming calm and warm. "Azure" She'd give a wide smile over to him, He'd return the joyous smile with a weak pitiful one before coming to a hault walking straight into the back of the Void himself.

"Watch it" Arrow snapped back at him, his teeth inches from Pales face, his tail swaying like it had its own mind. "We're here" Arrow grumbled before moving the bushes in from of them out the way revealing a large open field full of cats, about 30 at least or more. Pales eyes widened at the shock, he'd never seen so many cats before.

"Woah!" Sol mewed loudly from the top of Pales head his small paws nearly sliding off the front of his brothers head as he glanced around quickly with a wide smile, his tail wagging like an exited dog that's gone to the dog park for the first time.

"Relax Sol" Pale mumbled removing his brother from atop his head placing him down into the grass giving him one last smile before following behind the group once more, his brother bouncing beside him as they made their way into the open field land.

"Fallen" Arrow called as they reached a small group of cats sat in a circle like arrangement. A small she turned her head as Arrow called, a dumb smile plastering her maw as she jumped to her paws running to him sinking her head into his neck fur, Pale glanced over at Arrow his eyes widening some as he watched the Tom smile for the first time since they'd met.

"Brother! We've been awaiting your return" Fallen meowed the smile not fading once as she removed her head from his fur looking up at the tall Tom. "Who is this?" She'd ask puzzled catching a glance at Pale and Sol noticing their unfamiliar smell and pelts.

"Some strays we picked up in the forest just off the moorlands" He'd reply. "Azure insisted we bring them with us" He'd grumble rolling his eyes.

"Their family was attacked by rabid dogs, they had nowhere to go and Arrow was going to leave then there alone" The small she emurged from behind Pale, her tone defensive as she glared at Arrow then turning her gaze to Fallen.

"Forgive my brother he has a tenancy to be, unwelcoming and cold to newcomers" Fallen gave a slight chuckle smiling at Pale and Sol as she stamped on her brothers paw, Arrow hissed slightly with a pout rubbing his paw.

"They could have been a danger to the group, or spy's" Arrow mumbled over to fallen trying to defend his actions and reasoning.

"I get where you're coming from Arrow, but he has a child, you really think a spy is out here with a kit" Fallen rolled her eyes. "Anyway- Welcome" Fallen dipped her head over to Pale with a warm smile.

"Thank you" Pale mumbled with a forced smile, he was still getting over the amount of cats around them. Never in his life had he seen so many cats in one place.

"I'm assuming your in need of Lupo and Ginger" Fallen gave one last smile before her hues turned back to her brother.

"Yeah, need to talk to then about, this situation we've found ourselves in" Arrow grumbled over to Fallen gesturing to the two newcomers.

"Right this way then, They're on the edge of the field with Mickey, talking training and mentors for the new apprentice warriors" Fallen gave a smile to them all before wandering off, they followed close behind her across the field. Arrow still filling Pale with glares every now and then.
