( Author’s note: I am a big fan of the Wuxia genre novels and I decided to write my first ever novel, any feedback would be great and sorry if my English is bad )
In the village of Nacheveil a poor family was about give birth to a baby boy. The mother and father has been praying that the boy’s talent was at least grade 3. If they gave birth to a grade 3 talent their life would take a turn for the better. The baby boy has been pulled out, the mother was filled with
happiness kissed the boy’s head. She asked the
father what should be the boy’s name.
They both eventually agreed upon the name Lin Yao.
5 years later, in the Sacred Hall hundreds of young boys and girls were being tested for their talent grades. The examiners were all advanced Qi realm.
There are 5 main Qi realms. Beginner, Basic
, Advanced, Top and Peak. Each realm split into 5 steps.
Suddenly all the attention in the Sacred Hall shifted to a certain young boy, jaws dropped at the talent this young boy had. The examiner who tested him was shocked to the point that his eyeballs were popping out. “It’s a talent grade 10!!!!”
The examiners that we’re sitting down because they were lazy all stood up, sweating. A talent grade 10 is no joke, there has only been 2 talent grade 10s that has been recorded in history. Now there was the 3rd one. Talent grade 10s have cultivation
Thousand of times faster than average cultivators.
the young boy was escorted to the secret vip room
with a smirk on his face.
It was nearly Lin Yao’s turn to test his grade.
The girl in front of him got a talent grade 6 which was really impressive, it is above the average
cultivator. Next up was Lin Yao, he stepped up,
the examiners face was not something pleasant and seemed to be looking down on Lin Yao. They
hurriedly tested Lin Yao. He had to imbue the spirit
stone with his spirit force. Out of nowhere the
examiner was laughing to the point of crying
“Bhahaha this kid is a talent grade 0, I’ve never seen such a unfortunate boy in my life!!”
In the Sacred Hall it was filled with laughter by kids and examiners. Lin Yao was humiliated to the point that he thought he would kill himself. This was
understandable because grade 0 was a grade
impossible to have, it was just that bad and now
Lin Yao was the first and only grade 0 in the
cultivation world.
The test was over and Lin Yao was devistated, even a grade 1 talent would be 50 times faster in
cultivation than a grade 0. He walked home feeling as if weights were holding his legs down. He was too embarrassed to even tell his parents his talent.
But he had to because it was his parents.
Shortly Lin Yao has arrived home. “Hey sweetie how did it go?” His mum was the kindest woman out there. Lin Yao with tears racing down his cheeks, his
mother knew something was wrong. “What
happened son?” His father asked.
Lin Yao built up the courage to say one phrase.
”Mother, Father your son has disappointed you and
has a talent grade of 0”
Lin Yao’s parents were devistated, they would never have thought that Lin Yao would get a talent grade 0. “Honey it’s alright you have done nothing wrong”
”Son don’t be lazy and get cultivating!”
Lin Yao’s parents have been saving money to send Lin Yao to the Sacred Institute. This amounted to
5 years of savings for the family. Lin Yao bid his
parents a farewell as he travelled to the institute.
Lin Yao has eventually arrived at the institute, in he institute he was quite famous because he got a
talent grade 0. There were 3 classes, the noble class
, the class where commoners with talent were in and the lowest of all classes is the commoners class.
In this class system the higher you were the more knowledge you would be taught. Lin Yao was sent
to the commoners classroom where there were
people between talent grade 3 and 1.
Lin Yao was sat at his desk, the teacher arrived and
she looked extremely sexy. She would make any mans heart pounce. Her curvy figure was dazzling
and her feminine scent filled the classroom. All
the boy’s in the class were suffocating from the
beauty that was in front of them.
The teacher’s name was Fang Jihun. She was known for being nice to commoners, she was in
the 5 noble families. Her family was the family of highest status called the Phoenix family.
She became the teacher of the commoners class
on her own behalf.
No one knows why to this day. So the class began,
Lin Yao was learning about inscriptions and various
cultivation methods in that time. The class ended and Lin Yao was the last one there. As Lin Yao was about to leave, Fang Jihun called Lin Yao to stop.
”I have heard that you got a talent grade of 0”
Lin Yao was humiliated but held back his anger
because he knew he and his parents would be in
trouble if he offended the Phoenix family.
Suddenly the teacher said “Hey do you want to
become my disciple?” This was a rarely ever seen
occasion because it was rare for nobles to have
commoners as their disciples unless they had rare talent.
Lin Yao’s eyes were sparkling and said yes.
Fang Jihun said “go to the library and read
every single book there is. She gave Lin Yao a library
pass that a noble usually would have. But her’s was
different because it was the Phoenix family’s token
which meant Lin Yao could enter the secret section in the library where various records of cultivation were stored. This information was priceless as it would boost someone’s cultivation by hundreds of folds depending on which method they pick to
follow.
“This disciple thanks Fang Jihun deeply” after he said that he quickly arrived at the Institute’s library,
the library was grand and was filled with the unknown to Lin Yao. It was like a treasure trove.
He was interrupted by the libarian “commoner why
are you here?”
