" silent " the judge said because of noise coming from the crowd. This case is really a big case reason why so many people attended the hearing .

this is the last trial.... now is the time to know if the defendant will go to jail or will set him free so it's either I win this case or the defense attorney win.

the defense attorney finish his depend and back to his chair beside of the accused he look to me with a smug face showing his self confidence that he can win this case . But I won't allow it ,being an prosecutor , I need to say and show what the truth and the truth only cause the guilty must be punish and I know that the accused is really guilty so I'll do everything to put him in jail .

I stand up from the Chair I sitting cause now is my turn to represent the case bought against the accused person. I start to walk in front of the assistant of the judge or assistant secretary to show some evidence against for an accused .

I gave my USB drive that full of evidence to secretary . it contains some CCTV footage and some video taken from the phone of the victim that time .

the assistant play the CCTV footage I given ...after it finish I start my speech.

" your honor it clearly shows at the CCTV footage that the accused visited the house of the victim dated June 12 2025 around seven o'clock at the evening and left around twelve midnight . base on the testimony of medicolegal the victim is already seven hours dead when they went at the crime scene the medicolegal been there around six twenty at the morning so it means that the victim died early one AM ."

people at the court murmuring ... I look towards the direction of the accused before I continue my speech.

" so if the victims died early one AM at the morning it means the accused witnessed what happened right ?" I leaned to the table of the accused to be close at his face . I lowered my voice before I continue..........

" if you are not really the assailant can you pls tell us what happened before the victim died . the victim died early one AM so it means it also around twelve midnight and you left at the crime scene also around twelve so i think you can tell us about what happened right!" I ask but my question is no longer a question but an statement I just stated what the fact .After my speech the face of the accused become gloomy and eased reason why my lip formed into a shaped.

the defense attorney bang his table and say.....

" your honor the way of her questioning is no longer a question but an interrogation so if you may your honor I want to request to change the way of how the prosecution questioning" the defense attorney said while glaring at me as if I'm scared what a moron , I glared to him as well showing my dominant side.

" prosecution change the way how you questioning " the judge said before he bang his hammer .

" my apology your honor now I want to show another evidence " I look at the secretary assistant ordering her to show the video clip taken from the phone of the victim.

she nod before he clicked the video clip .

the video clip is a lil bit chaotic reason why we can't see Clearly what really happening we keep on watching not until we heard victim chuckled .

all people attended the hearing became confused as well as me .. ...I'm freaking confuse right now like how can she chuckled at the time she's going to be kill , now Im deadly confused I thinking twice .....is the accused really innocent or we just misheard it , think amaris you can't lose this case that's the only in my mind now.

I took a deep breath before I resume my speech...

" so base on the video taken it's really clearly that the victim is running from someone , but we can also say that she's just playing Alone ...if she have mind illness , but it's really imposible right she's perfectly good at that time ....we can't say that she is insane to run from nothing . she don't have any illness base on the testimony of the victim personal doctor ." I heard some side comments of the people watching the hearing and now I know theyre at my side and of course I'm glad of that .

once again I walk closer to the place of the accused person before I continue questioning .

" so can you tell to us what happened before you left the house of the victim ? " I ask him once again hoping to that he will say something or make any scene that I can use to him but I failed he remain quite and calm he didn't dare to make any noise or speak even one phrase.

I didn't feel any worried , I have a self confidence that I can win this case if he remain quite and also his defend attorney the judge might favor me and take my side.

I grin and look at the accused before I say my last speech , I know I can win this case I trust my self .....it's already my last speech and the defend attorney didn't object every word I say so I think he already gave up and I already win the case.

I took a very long deep breath before I continue my heart is beating like freaking crazy now this is my last speech but I'm not feeling at ease.

" base on section 6 article 249 homicide.

- Any person who not falling within in the provisions of article 246 , shall kill another, without the attendance of any of the circumstances enumerated in the next preceding article , shall be deemed guilty of homicide and be punished by reclusion temporal that's all your honor " I walk towards my chair I feel relieved when I already say my last speech my heart fell at eased not until ............

" objection your honor , we can call the accused a murderer if you have enough evidence bought against him, but if you don't have a proper evidence I think the word murderer is not suit to address him ...right prosecutor?" the defense attorney said while glaring at me reason of the sudden chill running through my spine .

I look at my files checking all evidence I've got , the attorney won't object if he don't have a big evidence right ? I check it again and again but it was perfectly good .

the attorney resume his statement .

" your honor, I call my first witness , Dr. Smith he is the one who will testify about the health of the victim" he say , after a minute an old man with an ash hair and milky crinkle skin walk in front and sat down at the witnessed stand.

That old man is the one who gave me the victim health files so why on earth he's testifying for the accused .......

" your honor Dr.Smith is the personal doctor of the victim , so now we will hear if the victim is really in a good mind set like what prosecution said or she has a mind illness " that damn defense cried out .

the attorney begin his interrogation he ask so many questions like how the victim been lately , how is her health and so on and so for....

The Dr. replied and said the victim really has a mind illness and he treating the victim for almost 5 years now . And on top of that he also say that the victim has a severe illness and that illness is brain tumor how in the universe I didn't figure that out .

he also add that the victim already had a life term limit and this month is her time limitations what a perfect timing .

" If I may your honor , base on the files of the victim, it clearly say that she didn't has any illness or any life term limits so I want to ask where that severe illness came from ?" I asked .

the attorney fix his throat .

" Your honor " the witness begun .

" I am the personal doctor of the victim and like what the defense said I treating her for almost five years now five years ago her severe illness is just a mild illness but because she didn't want any therapy her mild illness became severe illness and this year so many doctor checked her but because its already severe no one cant save her anymore also me ,that's why we gave here a life term limits and now is the month of her limit. I gave her health record to the defense attorney .That health record included every single details about her health"

the witness said wait what record?! he didn't gave me any record about it . Oh! god I'm screwed .

" your honor this is the record that witness said " The defense said before giving the record to the judge and court reporter.

after the defense done with his interrogation of his first witness he call another witness again .

" your honor my second witness is Mr. miller " And this witness is his ace if the jury or judge find that the accused is really innocent my future will be doomed.

" so Mr. miller what did you witnessed?" The defense begin.

" I witnessed everything happened that night , i witnessed how she died " the witness cried out . Everything ?! base on the CCTV footage there's no other person there except from the accused .

" You said you witnessed how she died can you pls explain to us how ?" the defense ask the witness .

" That night she is running around her living room holding a camera, she kept running until she felt exhausted the giggled she make that everyone heard is when her pet jumped to her , that time she giggled , and after a minute I think her head begin to hurt caused she is holding it and kept hitting it she also bang her head on the floor . And when she tried to stand up she stumbled on the floor and didn't stand up anymore I don't know that she has severe illness so I didn't call ambulance caused i thought that she is just exhausted that time " the witness said his testimony doesn't make any sense though.

" can you say what was the exact date and time of her death?!" the defense authoritative said.

" yes she died June 13 , 2025 exact 1:00 Am in the morning " the witness said.

" now last question Mr . Miller where are you when the incident happened?!" the defense ask his last question .

" I am at my balcony inhaling some freshed air " the witness proudly said .

The jury in the other side keep whispering to each other and I think they already made their decision .

the spokesman of the jury stand up and say ....

" Your honor the members of this jury find the defendant not guilty behind reasonable doubt" the spokesman said before sitting back to his chair .

No way in hell how can it be , how did it happen ?! I'm screwed up oh Lord .

" Members of the jury , this court dismisses you and thank you for a job well done " the judge said .

" The accused is not guilty , dismiss " the judge said before he bang his hammer .

And now I think i need to say goodbye to my profession , i looked at the accuse once again and i can see that his eyes are sparkling i rolled my eyes and landed it to the defense attorney she's smiling at me full of smug . I bet this time is his luck .
