Hi! I am Ai Mei. I am 25 years old and I can say that I am doing well in life. Some may say that I am pretty attractive for an average person. I got wavy shoulder length lustrous black hair, and dark eyes that look

like they have secrets.

At 25 years old, I finally got a hold of my dream job as an Account Executive for one of the country's top Digital Advertising Company, PK One. And on my first week, I was able to close a big account with one of the

leading shampoo brands in the world.

And you know what that means. We gotta celebrate!!!!

 So my team mates and I decided to go for a drink. And what makes it better, as a reward for a job well done. It's on the company's tab! Food and drinks overflowed. I felt like I was on top of the world and my team

mates and I partied like it was our last day on earth. Well it was a Friday after all, so no work tomorrow. I can drink all I want and recover over the weekend. After partying until 3 o clock in the morning, my team mates and I

decided that we've had too much and decided to go our separate ways.

 I took a cab, head home, took a hot shower to get rid of the remnance of the party. I changed into my favorite pink bunny pajamas and slept.

 And this is where it all began.

 I woke up to the sound of hooves, people talking and the sun hitting my face. I yawned and tried to stretch my arm...but I couldnt. I opened my eyes and saw that my hands were tied by a rope.

"What the hell!" I said out loud.

 I looked around and realized that Im in a wheeled wooden cage being pulled by a horse. The ones you see being used to transport prisoners in asian period dramas. I was no longer wearing my pink bunny pajamas. Instead I was wearing a tattered dress made of cheese cloth that feels rough on my skin. My feet were bare and dirty with mud. I looked around and there were dust everywhere and we are traveling on a rough, rocky road surrounded by fields of flowers and plants that look alien to me.

 "What is going on? What a weird dream." I thought. This is not a good dream, being in a cage is never good. I need to wake up.I rubbed my eyes and pinched myself, hoping it will help wake me up. I opened my

eyes and Im still in the cage.

"There's no point trying to escape, Lady Ban Hua." said the man riding the horse, adorned in full ancient war regalia which reminds me of terracotta warriors. "your family has been wiped out and all

your land has been seized, you are lucky Lord Rong Xia decided to spare your life and take you in as a servant despite the sins of your family".

 I shook my head in confusion. "What did you call me? my name is not Ban Hua! my name is Ai Mei! You got the wrong person."

 "Lying will not get you anywhere Lady Ban Hua. It is best that you accept your fate as early as now. You and your family were well known and recognized across Tian Kong Territory, better come up with a better

lie." he said.

 "Ok this is just a dream, this must be because Ive been watching too much period dramas, might as well go with the flow." I thought. To make better sense of what happening, I asked.

 "Sir, I may have hit my head and have lost my memories, but can you tell me what is going on."

 "That is a very creative lie, we are still a long way ahead, so I will humor you" the man laughed.

"You are Lady Ban Hua, the daughter of the leader of the Moon Sect. Your sect promised to remain neutral by not siding with any Lord, but it was found that your father secretly supported the Fire Sect's war against the Black Dragon Sect. Unfortunately for you and your family, the Black Dragon Sect won the war and is now ruling all of Tian Kong Territory, and together with all Fire Sect's supporters, your family has been killed."

 "Why was I spared?" I asked.

 "The leader of the Moon Sect begged that at least a descendant of your family be spared to continue the bloodline".

 I know it is only a dream but I felt tears run down my face, and my heart hurts from hearing what he said.

End of Chapter 1

"We have arrived." said the man.

I must've fallen asleep again along the way. It is now night time and we are now in front of gated wall with dark solid iron gates with dragons carved. Despite the darkness, the dark walls seems to glow. It is heavily guarded with armed warriors surrounding the wall.

"So this is the Black Dragon Sect's Fortress. Seeing it, I have already abandoned all hopes for an escape. There is no way I will be able to escape this place." I thought. I've never been in any place that looks as luxurious and as fearsome as this. The gates were opened and we were let in, the carriage stopped and finally we are in front of a dark palace.

"I bear no ill will against you and your family, so let me give you some advise. Be in your best behavior. Lord Rong Xia has conquered all of  Tian Kong Territory and has killed all those oppose him. If you value your life, it would be best to be as obedient as you can. Keep your head low and do your duties to preserve your life.This is where I leave you". He knocked on the door and said "Lord Rong Xia's servant is here".

A cloaked man opened the door and introduced himself. " I am Mao, keeper of the Dragon Palace and Lord Rong Xia's right hand. He flicked his fingers and green flames lit up a pathway that leads to a staircase. I walked behind Mao with shaky legs and fear building up. What kind of dream is this? No, this is not a dream, this is a nightmare. I need to wake up. Somebody wake me up!

Immersed in my thoughts, I didnt realize that Mao has stopped walking. I bumped into his back and when he turned around I finally see his face.

"My Lady, before we proceed, let me warn you of some things. Do not attempt to escape. The guards may look and seem human, but those are dragon spirits. They only recognize Lord Rong Xia and myself. Once they see

you the will think you are an enemy and will attack you on the spot...." I know I should be listening but I cant help but be mesmerized. How can such words come out this beautiful man.

"...apart from you the rest are night servants. They only come out on sundown. Are you well my Lady?" said Mao.

"Ah err yes" I replied. Snapped back into reality.

"I will lead you to your room so you may bathe"

At the top of the staircase another servant was waiting.

"Ah Yi, this is Lady Ban Hua, she will be your master from now on". Ah Yi looks like a middle aged woman, she smiled at me but I noticed that her smile didn't reach her eyes, but despite that, it didn't creep

me out.

Like he read my mind Mao explained "Ah Yi is a Ruo Family guardian, like most night servants, she is neither human nor spirit. She will be your servant from now on. Ah Yi, bathe your master"

I have a servant? But wasnt I supposed to be a servant?

"Umm err Lord Mao?"

"Only Mao, my Lady, I am not a Lord, there is only one lord in this palace".

"I was told I will be a servant, if there are many night servants in this place, does it mean I am a morning servant? I will serve the Lord Rong Xia in the morning?"

Mao smiled and said "My Lady, Lord Rong Xia has the blood of the dragon and incubus."

An incubus.I'm dead.

End of Chapter 2

An incubus? Did I hear it right? Incubus, a demon that feeds off a human's s*xual energy? I haven't had a boyfriend yet, my first kiss nor my first love. Now I have to become a warlord's bed warmer. All the fear that Ive been holding back finally let itself out. My knees gave up and I am now on the floor, shaking.

An incubus and a dragon. I can already feel the scales rubbing my skin. It makes me sick.

"Pick up your master and gave her a bath, Ah Yi, she must have gotten weak from the long travel" said Mao.

Ah Yi, may look like a middle aged woman, but apparently she is really strong. She carried me on her back and brought me to a bathroom that is bigger than my whole apartment. Unlike the rest of the palace, this bathroom is bright and all white apart from the tub in the middle which seems like it is made of rose quartz. The tub is filled with hot water with luminous flower petals that I have never seen before. It smells heavenly. In a different occasion I wouldve taken the time to appreciate these things. But given my circumstance, I cant help but dwell in the problem that lies ahead of me.

Ah Yi finally untied my hands and started undressing me. This will be the first time another person aside from myself will see my unclothed body, but I dont have the energy to object nor fight. The only comfort I get is that Ah Yi looks motherly despite not being human, and being cared for by a mother figure is what I need right now.

She led me to the bath and I let my body soak in the hot fragrant water. She shampooed my hair and scrubbed my whole body. After bathing me she lathered me with fragrant oils which helped me calm down and dressed me in a white silk robe.

"I will now bring you to Master's Room" said Ah Yi. I know I should have been scared, but I feel calm and warm. In my mind I know I shouldn't feel this way. What is going on?

Wait, she only dressed me in a silk robe, no underwear. Why do I feel warm? Silk should be cool to the skin, why do I feel like I need to take it off? Is there something in the oil she put on my skin?

Finally we are in Lord Rong Xia's room. I turn around to speak with Ah Yi, but she has already vanished. I am alone in the room. There are no lights on but I can still see because of the moonlight coming in from the big window. Unlike the other parts of the palace that I have been in, this room is pretty bare. There is only a bed in the middle with black silk sheets.

Feeling weak from the warmth spreading all over my body, I sat on the bed.

And that is when from the corner of the room I heard.

"Lady Ban Hua, finally."
