Ivy's POV

New day and I'm busy answering phone calls again, that's how my life goes on every day. My name is Ivy and I'm 20 years old. I have a brother who's younger than me named Andres Adira. I'm here now in the hacienda owned by my family, here I get rid of stress when I'm tired from working or I'm done attending a business meeting. I don't have any problem when there are many proposals that I need to sign or there is an emergency meeting because my secretary evett is always keeping me updated. She is a hardworking secretary and I don't have anything to say when it comes to her performance in work.

"Manang can you give me papaya juice and a slice of banana cake? i miss your banana cake so much"

Manang smiled at me

"Sure my dear just rest here, I'll just call Mang luis to get papaya from the orchard while i bake your favorite banana cake"

"Thank you Manang"

Manang is our longest helper. She is 52 years old, I am thankful for her because she almost lives in Hacienda to take care of it. We treated her as one of our family and we provided her a rest house in our hacienda.

I was busy answering some business phone calls when manang interrupted me.

"Dear your mom is calling, she called on my phone because she cant reach yours"

"Ahm sorry manang i was busy answering some business phone calls and i can't even notice that mom is calling" *smile*

Even if I'm stressed at work I manage to maintain my feelings so as not to hurt others.

"Here take your time\, banana cake will be finished soon" *give me her phone and smile*

After she comes back to the kitchen i answer my mothers call

"Good morning mom" *In a gentle voice*

"Good morning Ivy\, did your dad call you already?" *Mom*

"No mom\, why?" *in a curious voice*

"Nothing\, I'm just checking something\, by the way\, when are you free? I miss my only daughter\, I'm just alone in this big house and your father is busy in the company. your brother said that he has an upcoming exam and have no time to go home. he studying in abroad so i understand him *sigh*"

*starting to get emotional*

Owgoshhh here she goes again.

"I miss you too mom\, i will visit you and dad when I'm not busy okay?"*comforting*

"okay promise?"

"yes mom promise, goodbye mom i have some business calls to take care of yourself okay? i love you bye"

"I love you too baby\, byee" *ended up the call*

After I turned off the phone, nanny emelda gave me the cold papaya juice and banana cake. She said that manang was taking care of something on the farm.

"Manang ordered me to bring this to you ma'am"*nanny emelda said*

"ow thank you nanny emelda" *smiled*

After I ate, I went straight to another rest house near the rest house where I ate my breakfast earlier. I just arrived here yesterday morning and I am leaving this afternoon. I wore a white crop top with partner white denim shorts, denim flannel and a chuck. I grabbed my purse and walked out of the rest house. I said goodbye to the farmers and told manang and nanny emelda that I would visit them again when I had some spare time. After I bid goodbye to them I went to the parking lot to pick up my car, a Lamborghini Estoque. I love sports cars so this is the first one I bought with my own money when I was able to stand my own company.

Even though I am the CEO of a well -known company in different countries, I did not aspire to be famous, so very few people know me, that is, only those with large business companies and shareholders of the company. I want to live peacefully and travel alone. When I go on vacation I think of traveling to any interesting countries that got my attention. By the way, I'm here in Korea now if I haven't mentioned it before and I'm going to my friend's house her name is Aubrey. I'll go her house first before going to one of the hotels I own here, the Ivy's Hotel. My female friend is a very jolly person, we first met at my hotel because she checked in a VIP room and after a week her parents went to me saying that she ran away from their home. I comforted her and convince to go home because of the fact that her parents are worried as f*ck. We talked for a long time until we became friends. I won't prolong the story of our friendship, he's been my friend for two years HAHAHA.

I just arrived at Aubrey's house. I also stopped by the mall earlier to buy her favorite grapes. I knocked twice and she immediately opened it. She smiled as soon as she saw the grapes\, yes she loves grapes more than me *tear drops** just kidding:)*

" Yieeee Ivyyy! you really love me"

"yeah and you really love the grapes more than me"

" Oww my little twinnie you know i love you.....but i cant live without grapes HAHAHAHA"

"lets go stroll in the mall twinnie I'm very bored\, i got an update that the new album of my oppa's has been released lets go!" -Aubrey *with a puppy eye*

"you and you K-pop thing errr okay lets go i will also buy something for my parents help me to pick some good stuff okay?" *me*

" Alright lets go shopping!!!" *shouting*

Mygod!! she's shouting and i think my ears are gonna explode any minute. *just kidding*.

we are now at the XXXX mall to buy some merch that Aubrey want. Aubrey is a very good friend, she wears clothes according to her mood like me yeah neverminded. When people have a first look at her some people will think she's little bit bitchy but the truth is that she is a very jolly person. sometimes she just doesn't want to talk when she knows that the person is just fooling her around or she's not interested at all.

its been two years since i met her and little by little i could see her good and bad habits. I love Aubrey because she is so pure when it cones to friendship.

We stop by at the Starbucks to buy some coffee, obviously because its getting cold but even if its not cold i also buy myself a coffee, i am a coffee lover, i love the smell of coffee, the color, the texture and everything about coffee..... yeah i love coffee as **** HAHAHA. While Aubrey was ordering coffee, I took a vacant seat. After I sat down, I peeked through the glass window to see the passing vehicles and because the Starbucks is on the second floor of the mall and the window is glass i have a total view of the passing cars. Aubrey called me from the counter and asked if I want a piece cake and i immediately answered

"yes a two slice of strawberry cake please" *smiled*

she just nodded and smile back. after a minute the waiter serve us the coffee and cake that we ordered. I love strawberries especially when it is fresh. i don't know why so don't ask me.*just kidding*

"Ivy would you like to come with me at the fan signing next week?"*Aubrey*

"You know I'm not a fan of that and I'm sure I'll have a lot more to do I'm busy in the next few days twinnie\, I came to visit you today so we can enjoy and have some quality time while I'm not busy\, by the way I'm leaving for london tomorrow morning" *convincing her*

"why twinnie did something bad happen to your company there? do you have an emergency meeting in London?" *worried*

I laughed and said "no, mom called me yesterday and she said she misses me so I'm going to London tomorrow morning. I still have two days left on vacation so I can still visit them"

"Oww. I thought you have a problem in your company. it's only right that you visit aunt\, she hasn't seen you for three months " *realizing*

" I still have three days of vacation left before I can be busy with my company and the flight is probably only 11 hours so yeah, I decided to visit them"

"Be careful okay?" *Aubrey*

"yes i will* smile

After we talked and finished eating, we decided to go down to the parking lot to pick up my car. I will take Aubrey to her house first then I will go to my house here in Korea. My house here in Korea is quite big for one person, it has two bedrooms upstairs, a spacious living room downstairs and a marble kitchen, the back has a swimming pool. The color and design of my house is vintage because for me it calms the atmosphere in my house. While I was driving, Audrey connected her cellphone to the speaker in my car and played a K-pop song again. I didn't complain because I understand some Korean language anyway and I'm definitely not a hater.

"Do you know that my oppa's is not only handsome but also good at making people laugh?" *Aubrey in an exciting voice"

"Oww are they also entertainers? hahaha" *me jokingly Asking*

"maybe because they make videos to keep their fans updated. I like how they treat their fans and surely they have a unique voice."

" yeah i can tell by listening to their music" *convinced*

"Do you want to hear some of their solo music? then sing it to me i know you have a good voice twinnie" *her he comes again:/*

"i don't have time to memorize a lyrics Aubrey but you can play it now if you want to"

"okay listen to this and you will fall in love with his voice"

I stopped the car first because it was red light then Aubrey played the song..

'his voice was beautiful and very deep' *i suddenly whispered in my mind*

We reached the gate of Aubrey's house after he got out of the car I opened the window of my car to say goodbye.

"안녕히 계세요 (Goodbye)" *me*

"잘 운전하다 (Drive well)" *Aubrey*

"i will\, bye!" *closes the car window*

She waited for me to leave before She entered her house. When I arrived at the house, I immediately went to the second floor to take a bath. The second floor of the house was wide, so I equipped it with a mini gym. The master's bedroom is my bedroom obviously because I am the owner. I have a balcony here in my bedroom and the sliding door is made of transparent glass. I designed my room to make me feel comfortable around. After I took a bath I took my suitcase so I could pack some clothes that I will use when I go to London. I also prepared my passport so I won't forget it tomorrow.

I wore an oversize t-shirt and mine shorts then after I packed my things I went down to the kitchen to make something to eat. i cooked fried chicken and rice because it was easier to cook. I prepared hot sauce and took milk from the refrigerator after I went to the living room to watch Evett's report. When I'm not with the company all day, Evett reports to me using a video call every night so I'm always updated so I'm always updated on what's happening in my company.

"Good evening ma'am ivy" *Evett*

"So how's the company?" *me*

"On Monday\, February 01\, 2021 ma'am i scheduled your appointment with Mr. Sanchez\, he said that he wants to have an appointment with you for the reason that he invest in our company and on Wednesday February 03\,2021\, you have a board meeting with the shareholders. Just a reminder ma'am that you have already accumulated a lot of proposals in your office so you need to come back ASAP" *evett with a serious face with the straight to the point topic*

This is what I want from her because she is a very diligent secretary

"Okay, I will go to Korea on Monday morning. This Tuesday coming Tuesday (january 26,2021) , I will visit dad and mom in London first before I get too busy at work"

"Thank you for updating me evett\, i will increase your salary for your good work when I came back from London"*smile*

"it's my pleasure ma'am ivy thank you" and there I saw her sweet smile

"how are you now ma'am? did you rest well?"*Evett*

I chuckled and responded " How can I relax when there are so many business calls you connect to my cell phone?" *jokingly said*

"I'm sorry ma'am i cant delay the call because. some business calls are from our important investors" *in a formal speech*

"I'm just kidding you hahaha. I have repeatedly told you not to be formal when you talk to me so that we don't count on each other. we're the same age so it's okay not to use honorifics okay?" *me convincing her*

"Yes ma'am I will try" * forced sweet smile"

"Grrr your making me crazy Evett" laughing

"don't force a smile when you don't want to\, okay? " *a genuine smile*

"yes ma'am i understand\, thank you for your advice" *gives me a real smile*

"there you go" *greeted her smile* " goodbye evett I'm going to bed early cause i have a flight tomorrow\, i have to rest to gain some energy"

"okay ma'am good bye and good night\, take care and stay safe when traveling" *ended video call*

When I met evett she was a very shy person but what i liked was her honesty. During her interview I asked her if she had experience of being a secretary and she immediately replied and said (I have no experience ma'am but if I am accepted here as your secretary I will be diligent to gain experience and be a good secretary to you) she is not like other applying secretaries who brag about themselves and being arrogant when answering the questions I ask. Ivy is shy and at the same time smart, hardworking, and polite, she has been working for my company for 1 over year.

I drank the remaining milk from my glass then I took the plate that was on the table to wash i.e. brushed and took a cup of water from the refrigerator and drank it then I went up to the second floor to rest in my room. It was 9 pm so I decided to go to sleep.

Aubrey promised herself that she would not marry until she found what she knew was destined for her. She loved Kpop and K-drama so much so she thought of using that design in her restaurant. on the second floor of her restourant can be seen various original albums by singers and artists. customers can enjoy the k-drama and k-pop vibes because of the design and furnitures placed here.

Aubrey's POV

My name is Aubrey Luna, 20 years old, Ivy is so lazy to tell the story of our friendship so i decided to tell my side of the story too. It started when my mom and dad invite me to dinner, they said that they have an important matter to discuss with me so as an obedient daughter I decided to come over. I rarely meet my parents because we are too busy with our own businesses. I own a restaurant and it is a very famous in Korea, the name is "Luna's cuisine". I just wanted to mention that I am a half  Korean and half American.

(let's go back to the past where ivy and I met)

Its Morning, I woke up early because I had something important to do today. I'm a little bit excited because i decided to build my second restaurant because my costumers rating were increasing. After I took a bath, I picked up the clothes I'm going to wear today. I'm in a good mood so I'll wear an oversize black crop top sweatshirt, white mini skirt, and black a minimalist heels. I'm going to the Kim's house today because I'm going to talk to engineer Kim jin-woo, he told me not to go to his office because he's at their house now. Engineer Kim's family has been my family's business partner for a long time. Every time there are business gatherings, our parents take us with them, so I met him. I found out that he is an engineer and at the same Architect , which is not surprising because our family business is a construction company.

After I got dressed I went down for breakfast. I saw mom and dad sitting in the chair while our maid was serving at the dining table. I greeted them good morning and they responded with a smile.

'good morning princess where are you going today?' Dad

'I'm going to Jin-Woo's house' me

'thanks God my daughter is going on a date!' Mom

'No mom, I'm going to shinyo's house because I'm going to ask him for some suggestions, your daughter is going to build a new restaurant because her current restaurant is always full of costumer" me in annoyed voice

Mom has a really childish personality but when we talked about work she is very strict and focused that's why are company is one of the best company here in Korea, same as dad, My dad is a hardworking and nice person. I can totally tell that they are meant to each other, goodness I'm getting cheesy hahaha.

Mom glared at dad

"but princess you should find a good boyfriend now" Dad immediately changing his side*

'I'm having a headache because of you two "me stating the fact

'let's just eat then" Dad slightly laughing

we continue eating and after we finished our breakfast I said goodbye to them and went to the garage to get my car, the name is Toyota Camry Hybrid. I got in my car and drove to my destination, while driving I played the music of one of my favorite idols.

after almost 30 minutes I arrived at the Kim's house. The guard opened their enormous gate and let me in. Their yard is very large, they have a mini garden and a fountain in the middle. after I park my car the maid immediately opened the door for me to enter the entrance door. I can only say one word, very luxurious.

''ma'am this way please'' *maid*smile politely*

'Mr.kim told us he had a special visitor coming so let me show you the way to his office."*smiled again*

"is that so? okay, thank you for your generosity" i smiled back

Their maid is so kind and pretty that I want to take her home. should i kidnap her? ow nevermid im just joking:) I forgot that I came here with an important matter hehe.

after a 1 minute of walk we reached the white with gold line color door which is obviously mr.kim's office. thier mansion is so big that if you are not familiar with it you might get lost.

The maid knocked twice *tok**tok*

"mr. kim your visitor is here" said the maid

"let her in" Mr. kim's voice coming from inside

When the maid opened the door I went inside and say hi to mr. kim

"Hi Good morning" *smile*

"Good morning" *smiled back* "You told me that you need my design and suggestions for building a new restaurant so I made some sketches and unique designs just for you" *straight to the point*

"Wow your so prepared, am i a VIP now?" *kidding him*

He just smiled and said something i can't hear and hand me the interior design's

"its all nice mygoodness i can't pick. Its difficult to choose because everything is beautiful"* pouting*

"you're more beautiful" *mr. kim he said in a low tone*

"come again?" *me*

"nothing just continue to look and pick some designs and pass it to me so i can prepare for the construction of your restaurant" *he said*

i can't hear it clearly i thought he said that i was beautiful or im just assuming hahaha.

I already chose the best design for me so I gave it to mr.kim, he accidentally touched my hand instead of paper because he was looking at the laptop as i handed over the design's he accidentally touched my hand, he looked at me in the eyes and I could feel him as if he is reading what I was thinking. The maid knocked twice and came in with cookies and two glasses of grape juice.

"here's your snack sir/ma'am enjoy your food" *the maid smile as if she saw some entertaining scene then walked out*

I immediately removed my gaze from him and turned my attention to the food served by the maid because my heart is racing so damn fast i dont know why but its very disturbing mygoodness.

"thank you for the food" *i smile awkwardly*

"No problem" *he smile as if there's nothing happened*

That smile makes me ease the feeling of awkwardness in me.

we continue to talk about some details and agreed to meet in sunday for some updates and preparations.

I got in my car and opened the window

"Bye mr. kim thank you for giving me a hand" i genuinely smile

he approached the window of my car and said

"no problem as long as its you" *give me a wink*

And that moment my heart my heart start racing again...

I closed the door of my car and drove out of the gate of their house.

It's 7:00 in the evening when I get home and our maids are already preparing some food for dinner at the dining table. I first went up to the second floor to take a half bath and wear a comfortable pajamas.I went down to the dining area and sat in the chair. Dad was still in the room and Mom was in the kitchen so I waited for them before I ate,just then dad came down from their room and sat in the chair in front of me. And mom came out of the kitchen, she helped the maid prepare dinner.

"how was your daw princess"*dad*

"it was great dad" *me*

"is that so?" *mom interrupted*

"yeah mom whatever are you thinking" *rolled eyes*

"By the way sweetie your dad and i have some announcement to tell" *mom smiling widely*

dad just nodded and smiled. Why do i feel like i dont want to hear this announcement? nevermind.

"what is it mom?" *me while taking food*

"your dad and i have already set an arranged marriage for you, We know that he is kind and respectful, his family is also one of the owners of the largest companies here in korea" *mom*

"what? you set me up in an arranged marriage without consulting me?!" *me in range*

"young girl lower your voice"*dad in calm voice"

"but dad i dont want to get married, im just turning 19 this month, i am too young to get marriage" *me in so annoyed voice*

"We just arranged a marriage sweetie, it doesn't mean that you will get married right away"

"Even if that's the case I still don't want to get married mom, dad. I've lost my appetite, I'm going to sleep, goodnight" *unconscious voice*

they let me go up to my room and rest. I can't believe they were able to tie me to someone I haven't met yet. they did not say the name and I have no intention of knowing it, never! my head is heating up and I'm really annoyed in this moment. I decided to leave the house first so that my parents wouldn't force me to agree to the arranged merraige they set.I won't get married until I find my " the one" in other terms my "destiny". ow **** im getting cheezy.

I packed some of my clothes and shoes and of course credit cards.I'll look for a hotel to stay to calm myself because I'm a little upset with mom and dad, I don't want to see them for some day. I went to one of the most famous hotels here in korea. I parked my car in the parking lot and walked to the entrace.

"IVY'S HOTEL" *i silently read*

When I entered the lobby , I could see that this hotel was very luxurious that's why I no longer wondered why it was so famous. gold and white is the theme of this hotel so I can see how clean the hotel is. the design of the tiles is so nice because it is a marble. I went to the costumer service to check in. I have money and I can afford a VIP room, so I chose the VIP room. the costumer service explained to me what was in the VIP room and what I could do when I checked in here. they have a swimming pool area, bar, gaming area, and more. I smile and said thank you. they were very sensible in approaching me goodness i feel comfortable in this hotel.

"this is your key, ma'am" *costumer service*

She handed me the key then a small card with the number written on it.

"and this is the number that you will call incase you need anything"*pointing the card* *costumer service*

"thank you for your good costumer service" wink and smile
