First meeting
Since the birth of Sarah, she.. is spoiled by her father. Whatever she want something she get it. It may be due to lack of parent's love but they replace it with money to compensate.
During her final university, her friend stacy and herself went to parties to celebrate. However, Sarah who is so spoiled consider all boys she met as her slaves.
John Lee a business man who had to work very hard to get to where he is. He was a son of construction worker and his mother works as maid. However he never get to be grateful to his parents as they died in car when he was 10 years old. He grow up in an orphanage.
The sponsor of the orphanage where he was is Sarah's parents.
Sarah's father is a famous billionaire and mother is dead due to cancer. That is why Sarah's father spoil her much to replace mother's love but he was never present in her life. He was drown in misery after his wife's dead that he change mistress everyday to forget about evrything but he fail to notice that he neglected hos only remaining family.
One day Sarah, age 8, accompanied her father following the invitation of the orphanage. It is there she met John, who at that time was so drepressed after his parents death. At that time, Sarah was so innocent and not arrogant.
Exchange
Sarah's father was talking to the head of orphanage. Being a child, she was feeling bored. She wandered around the place. Near the far end of the garden, in a very discreet place, she found a very timid boy, who is sitting quietly looking at the far end without being aware of his surrounding. In his hands, he was holding a chain who belonged to his mother. The initial on the chain is written M.L. It was his father's token of love to his mother.
Sarah was very curious about the boy. She approched him quietly, and sit next to him. It is then that John becare aware of someone staring at him. He look at the beautiful girl sitting right in front of him, with a very innocent smile. Being at the orphanage for nearly several months, he knows everyone but this is the first time he saw her here.
Sarah : Hi
John: Hello
Sarah: My name is Sarah and you? Her hair is attached in a ponytail with a red ribbon. The winds blew on the hairs and pick up like a curtain blows up.
John: He did not answer her at first and keep on staring at her.
Sarah seing no response frim John, wave her small hands in front of him. She thought that he was daydreaming.
John came out of his trance. H e replied to her.
John: My name is John.
He was thinking what a poor child, another one has join the orphanage.
Sarah: Do you want to play with me?
John: Ok
He thinks that she might not be aware that she is sent to the orphanage. Thus he pity her and agree to play with her.
After having played for a few hours, they were called back by the orphanage director. Sarah was being picked up by her father. However in the ees of John, he thought that Sarah was quickly adopted by a businessman without knowing that they are indeed biological father and daughter.
Sarah was very relectant to leave as she like John. This is the first time she met a true friend.
They both exchange gift as a souvenir. John give her his mother's necklace and she her ponytail ribbon.
Sarah has given him her phone number so they could keep in touch. However, they will not meet for several years.
After leaving the orphanage, Sarah and her father immigrate to another country. John.has been trying to call several times to Sarah but in vain as the number given is no longer valid.
Nightclub
After graduation, John has left the orphanage. He had been doing so many odd jobs to sustain his tution fees, from construction worker to helper, mechanics, everwhere where help are needed and where he get good pay. He then invest on a broke company which he now develop it to a world wide chain.
His partner Tom, who is a womanizer, always try to invite him out. John being a workalcoholic always refuse him.
Nick, His other friend who graduated together also has his own company. He also try to tell John to take some time off work. Life is to be enjoyed as we never know what will happen afterwards.
John understand what his friends want his well being but he being an orphan and grew up depending on his own sometimes envy them.
Finally, they managed to convince him to go out to the night club. Both of his friend has book a private booth so that they have more privacy.
Sarah, has come back to the country. Her friend stacy and her decided to celebrate their adulthood in town. They have opted for Senses Night club together with other friends for a karaoke evening.
Unlike 20 years ago, the Sarah now is very rebellious and arrogant.
