The woods under her feet made a crackling sound as she walked through the darkness, almost enveloped in the cloak of darkness.
It seemes almost as if the trees around her made ways for her as she stepped into the dimly lit alleyway.
Smiling as she gazed upon the curious eyes that stared back at her, intrigued as she stepped forward.
Humans are such an amusing creatures. So simple, shallow.
A little temptation, a little feelings and they could do anything for you.
And you can do anything to them, she thought with a smile gracing her lips.
She could tell that she had their attention as she walked into one of the rooms aimlessly scattered around the opening.
As she entered the room, she heard their sharp intake of breath, then the hushed whisper in the air.
Look at her, what's such a pretty lady like her doing in underworld? She might get into trouble for being such a pretty thing in this deadly world.
Smiling to herself as she felt someone's presence behind her, thought she, such foolish creatures.
"May I know what is such a beautiful lady like you is doing here,of all the places? It's dangerous, you know. "
She recognizes that look on the man's face,it's of intrigue and probably a silver lining of lustre.
Ahh the underworld of human realm always has the most powerful souls, full of sins, she thought,it would be fun to devour..to see the mere human being breaking down little by little.
By the way he started to gawk over her cleavage, she thought, this would be the easiest hunt. No challenge at all...
She likes the thrill, the agony comes with it as the life of the humans fade away. One snap, the earth shattering scream of pure terror as the darkness shuns out all light. It makes her euphoric to even think of it.
As for her father it didn't matter how she gets it,all it mattered to him was the unwavering desire to rule above all. The power.
Foolish man,she thought as she leaned over the counter and whispered something in the man's ears that had him grin like a wolf as he followed her out, completely under her enchantment.
The smell of her skin was so intense he has no choice but to follow her into where the darkness seemed to be looking into his very soul.
he isn't sure whether he had a say in it.
Hearing upon the sickening crunch of bones under her feet, and the agonizing scream that followed soon she smiled.
Let the weak be crushed.
"What will you do now? You don't have legs to run."
She hissed at the man, smiling eerily as she yanked him up by hair.
"Did you really think I was going to let you go?"
The next thing she knew was there was scream. Sweet, sweet agonizing scream as the darkness surrounded all around her like a cloak.
Let the darkness run wild.
I WOKE UP screaming and breathing erratically as I looked around my room.
It was just a dream..an eerily vivid nightmare.
Willing myself to calm down, I stared at the reflection of my pale face in it.
I look like I just saw a ghost, I thought as I stared at the mirror beside my bed.
Shaking my head at my absurd thought, I climbed off the bed and made my way to the mirror.
Touching my reflection, I frowned as I suddenly felt something pass by me,something like a shadow.
"W-who's there?"
No one answered.. Huh. I must have imagined that.
I thought ,man that dream was pretty creepy, so much that I'm imagining things now.
However,I couldn't shake out the feeling that..the girl in my dream was familiar.
I'm watching too much fantasy movies these days to get those dreams...
Pressing at my temples that has currently started to throb violently,I lied back down in hopes of getting some sleep.
However, I wasn't so lucky. After tossing and turning around for half an hour,I decided to give up.
Sighing, I made my way to the kitchen to grab myself a cup of coffee.
"Huh. So mom's out with the friends now, aye?"
I muttered under my breath as I noticed the stick in note by the kitchen counter that says.
Hey babe, I'm going out with aunt Michelle, we're going to fishing so probably will be late.
P.S. Mama loves you XOXO
I grinned, you would think a mother of a 18 year old girl would knit sweaters at home with a cat in her lap and watch TV melodrama.
However, the reality is quite the different.
Diane Jones goes bungee jumping from the mountains in her vacation and goes fishing in the weekends.
After brewing a steaming pot of coffee,I stared at the ceiling.
Being a single mother must be hard on her, specially for raising such a troublemaker child but I I gotta admit, nobody knows how to raise her child better than miss Diane.
And just like that I stared at the clock to see it's only past five o'clock. Huh.
I better go run a few metres today, lately I've been munching on too much greasy stuff and got a few good pounds on me.
Cringing at the thought of mom getting to know that, and the actions she would take I made a long sigh.
Being the daughter of a gym trainer ain't no easy thing, I tell ya..
"Well..I better get going now."
_________
After locking my door,I put on my earphones and set out for the long, painful run.
I've always been a couch potato,so you know how good I am at the athletics.
I passed by the fat couple that took their pug out for peeing and the willow tree by the park under which we used to hold picnics when I was a kid.
It's always been me and my mum. I don't know why, but mom doesn't like to talk about my biological father.
It's been a taboo for us since my childhood. Naturally, as a kid I wanted to know who my father is,how he looks like.
But whenever I used to ask anything related to dad,mom used to lock herself up in her study and drink a bottle of red wine.
So,after I realised that mentioning him makes her sad,I learnt to never, under in no circumstances, ever talk about dad.
That didn't make me stop my investigation of finding some source of dad though, I don't know why I did it but I wanted to know that he exists.
That he is a living human too, somewhere in this world,he has his own existence as well.
But of course, after months of searching every corner, every shelf and whatnot, I still got nothing on me.
It's like he doesn't exist.
I huffed, either my mom is very smart to erase every single belonging of dad, or she never had one.
I came back with a jolt and suddenly, like the moron I am,and bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry sir,are you okay?I didn't notice where I was..going."
I couldn't even complete my apology before the hooded man in front me stepped back as if I've zapped him,and made a run for his life.
Huh. What's that all about?
No reply whatsoever, that's fine. But it wasn't like I am some monster..
Do I look that ugly?
Making a face at the grey hooded figure retreating at the end of the alley,I thought, too bad I didn't see his face. Otherwise, I'd love to give him a piece of my mind.
Weirdo.
"What are you doing standing in middle of the road, huh?"
I almost jumped out of my skin when I heard the voice.
Calm down,Evie. It's just your annoying neighbour.
"Don't scare me like that, you idiot! I almost died, yknow." Punching Caleb in the ribs,I grinned when he winced.
"You're such a drama queen,Evie." Rubbing at his sides,he rolled on the balls of his feet, the way he usually does when he has something to say.
I rolled my eyes at him.
Some things never change, do they?
Even after growing up,he is still the shy boy who used to follow me around all day,and time has never put a dent in our friendship.
My best friend is just as shy and calm as the first time I met him.
"Spill it dude." Putting my arm around his shoulder I smirked, "I know you wanna."
He made a face at me,but did start spilling.
He knows better.
"I was just wondering..if you were going to go to the party Caroline is throwing today. She invited me,but I don't wanna go there alone."
"But she didn't invite me" I grinned, somebody's getting famous lately.
I'm not going to lie, Caleb is hot. With his blue eyes, blonde hair and athletic body, he sure is a lady killer.
I'm not surprised that he is invited to literally everywhere, thanks to his look and meek attitude.
"And you want me to be your social shield? You evil, evil boy!"
With that,I messed up his hair(which he hates) and ran for my life.
"You son of...you just wait,Evelyn Jones!"

Her eyes were like two blue orbs burning so brightly, her face so angelic as she looked at them begging for mercy at her feet.
Her body levitate off the ground,as the darkness intensified around her, making everything look so frighteningly beautiful.
She had the face of an angel, so pure and beautiful that seems like no sin can ever get close to her,but her eyes, they seem to tell another story altogether.
The dark cloak twisted around her ***** body as she sat onto the throne, the shiny black material bellowing around her feet as if it has a mind of it's own.
And perhaps, it did.
The light of the emerald crown in her head reflected the light as she smiled, her smile so pure and breathtaking.
Yet her eyes betrayed her purity.
As if I'm going to save them. Foolish creatures!
They pleaded with all their might, their mouth agape and face sunken as they looked at the damned.
She stood up from her throne, and walked to the man closest to her.
Grabbing him by his hair, she smiled, her tone flirtatious as she asked.
"Didn't you want to give your body to me? What, scared now?"
There was a moment of silence, when she could hear the man swallowing up his saliva, too scared to utter another word.
Beautiful.
The last thing he saw was her brilliant smile as his life faded away.
They tried their damnest to scream, to utter another world but nothing makes sense to them.
Not anymore.
Suddenly, the scene in front of her changed, as if she's looking through a kaleidoscope and what she saw made the hairs in her body stand erect as a chill passed through her whole body making her numb.
There was blood, lots of it. It was a bloodbath, and she was smiling as she crushed the countless bodies under her feet.
Ecstasy
Their maddening cry for help and her maniacal laughter made a melancholy around her.
They are damned for eternity.
"NO!" I jolted awake from the nightmare, my body feeling numb all over.
Oh shit!
I ducked my head as the teacher gave me an warning before continuing with the class.
What the **** was that all about?
I looked around me to see everyone is looking at me weirdly.
Poking at Caleb's back,I whispered, "How long was I out?"
"Not too long. Tired?"
I shook my head at him, still a bit confused about the whole thing.
It's the second time I'm having those damned nightmares. I know it's just a dream but..it somehow feels different.
Grabbing my temples which started to throb again,I closed my eyes.
Those nightmares are making me weary now.
"Hey,you okay?"
I nodded at Cal,suddenly feeling like all the strength had been sucked out of me.
"I'm fine. It's just that..I'm a bit tired."
I'm not sure why,but for some reason I didnt want him to know about these nightmares.
________
As soon the class ended, I made a beeline to the restrooms, feeling like I'd throw up everything I ate for breakfast.
I rushed to the sink and splashed some water in my face, in hopes of feeling a little better.
I feel breathless, and a but queasy maybe.
What the hell is wrong with me today? Am I getting sick?
I was going to splash some more water in my face but suddenly I looked into the mirror and It felt like all the blood rushed right into my head.
My hands stopped halfway to the tap. It was almost like for a moment time stopped as I stared at the reflection of myself in the mirror..
I felt a gasp leave my lips as I started at my own reflection, yet it felt so strange. Like,it wasn't mine.
She was smiling at me, and what happened the next moment would be engraved in my mind forever.
It mouthed only four words: I'm coming for you.
And then I felt my legs give away as I sank into the ground, but before my eyes could close I heard the ear piercing scream of my voice in the restroom.
Then everything went dark.
;^)
When I regained my consciousness, I was lying in the infirmary with a worried looking Cal sitting beside my bed.
"Thank heavens you woke up. I was really worried about you,Evie."
I frowned as my head started to throb again, and tried to sit upright.
But apparently, my body wasn't ready for the movement yet,I felt like the world
Was shifting off it's axis.
If it weren't for Cal who hurriedly grabbed my shoulder to and stopped me from tumbling down,I'd probably have another concussion too.
"Would you stop being so reckless all the time? You almost lost your balance again."
Damn why do I feel so weak..
"What..What happened to me?"
"Someone brought you here when you passed out. I knew you weren't feeling well, why did you have to pretend everything is fine? Now look at you,Evie."
Clearing my throat,I accepted the glass of water he gave me,I asked.
"Wasn't I..at the restroom? What..what happened there?"
I grabbed my temples as it started to throb again when I thought about the voices.
Should I tell him about it? I've never hid anything from Cal all these years..but what if he thinks I'm crazy?
I looked at his worried features and decided against it,it's better if I don't tell him. I've caused enough trouble as it is already.
"I'm not sure what happened either. I was called here by the nurse after someone dropped you off by the infirmary."
What...who could have possibly bring me here if not Cal?
Looking at him frown as he checked me over,I grinned.
Guess I'll have to solve that mystery later.
"Hey now,big boy. I'm fine, see? Don't worry too much. You're gonna miss class if ya stay here for any longer. "
I pointed my thumb at the clock and grinned.
Atleast I get to skip class for being sick today.
"You sure? I can stay here.."
I cut him off before he could complete the sentence.
"Nah, there's no need for both of us to skip classes. Besides, I'll be released once the ivy is completely empty anyway. Go attend the classes, I need your notes. "
He still didn't looked unconvinced, but thankfully, left after telling me he will pick me up after school.
Once he's gone,I sighed.
Now it's time to solve the mystery.
For some reason, I feel uneasy to know someone brought me here..
I breathed in a deep sigh,and thought.
If someone brought me here, he or she, whoever that is must know something...anything.
I don't know how and why I thought that but I was sure that the person could explain whatever the **** happened there.
And for once, I trusted my instincts.
After waiting for much long, the nurse finally started undoing my ivy and I winced as the needle was pulled out.
Miss Hannah has been in our infirmary since a long time, and being the troublesome woman I am,she and I get to interact on a daily basis.
"How are you feeling? Still weak? You should take good care of yourself, Evie."
Smiling, I waved my hand in a dismissive manner at her.
"A little. I'm a heck of a strong chick,Hannah. Don't worry"
"There's not a doubt in my mind now. But how about you stay out of trouble from now on?"
She smirked at me knowing that's impossible for me.
"Cal is going to come pick you up. Wait here till he comes, alright?"
I nodded vehemently, and leaned my hip against the bed
Acting nonchalant, you know?
"So..do you know who brought me here, miss Hannah?"
As soon as I asked the question, her easygoing attitude suddenly changed and she frowned.
She looked almost uncomfortable when she hurriedly started collecting the stuffs around, avoiding my eye.
"Who was it,Hannah?"
Her frown deepened and she looked away.
"I..don't remember. I think it was a boy. Yeah..it was a boy.. he..he..was wearing a hoodie. I really can't remember who it was.."
She almost looked lost, like she was trying to remember something that never existed..
"You know how he looks? The boy,how does he look?"
I pressed her, hoodie and a boy doesn't give me much to do with. I need more details..
"I don't know." She picked up the ivy and turned her back on me."You shouldn't try to know too much."
What?
I frowned at her retreating figure and wondered what the hell did she meant by that.
