Ever since third grade, I've been dead. Just a body walking around. Have you ever heard the line, "living with a mind that wants to die with a body that wishes to live"? I suppose I fit that description... I lost everything that meant something to me in this world... what am I supposed to do? I really... just want to die... I was born an orphan, worked my *ss off to be at the highest point, owning the largest company, yet no family, no friends... No happiness or reason to live... Was I born to be alone since I was born? A turn of fate? In my dreams.

It's really beautiful... these cuts so deep in my wrist... all the pain I had in my head... it really is real. I smiled warmly at my arms that had deep cuts, blood seeping out and onto the white carpet.

Ahh... i'm really... so tired... The cup of whiskey dropped out of my numb hand, shattering on the ground. The lights all turned off slowly, so this is the end, huh... finally...

"Hey. Wake up!" A deep voice said, and a sudden jolt of pain hit my rib cage. I held my rib cage and grunted in pain. I slowly opened my eyes. I regretted instantly, a bright light blinded my eyes, making me squint.

"Wake up!" The voice rumbled again. Once my eyes adjusted, I sat up and looked around. No one was there. "H-hello?" I said, but my voice sounded weird... sounds like... babies?!

"Heh, finally awake I see? I don't have much time to explain. My name is Ademist, I gave you a second chance of life. Your soul is now residing in the dead princes body, poisoned by your step mother, a concubine. This world has magic, priests, demons, magical creatures like pixies, dragons, shape shifters, giants, dwarfs, and so much more. Good luck, and climb to the top. There, you will be granted your long awaited wish."

The voice disappeared, and a forest suddenly surrounded my view. I was sitting up against a dead tree, the forest around me was on fire! Did lightning strike this tree?!

I tried standing, pushing off the ground and using the tree for support, but my muscles were too sore and weak, I fell on the ground. Calm down... he said there was magic here right? It must be like Chi that I used in my last live. It seems like this body is only four years old.

Even if I started cultivation right here... I will still die because of the fire!!!! This kid was a good for nothing!!! He didn't even start cultivating!!!!

Tears came out of my eyes from frustration, and I shamefully started crying out aloud. "Waaaa! Waaaa! Waaa~" I don't remember for how long I cried, but someone heard me. "There's a baby in the fire! Save the baby!" And so... I was saved by a couple that had a farm near by... in such an embarrassing way!

"Mm... so warm..." I snuggled my face further into what ever this warm blanket was. So much nicer than that dumb forest fire! Wait... wasn't I in the forest fire? Did I die from the forest fire so I got reborn again? I'm afraid to open my eyes...

Three years later... A lot has happened, I wasn't reborn, I was saved by a giant celestial wolf named Selena. She's huge, white furred and has golden eyes that shimmer like gold.

"My child, don't be like those foolish humans. You have beautiful tan skin and white hair, white eyes and a seal on your forehead. You shall not have more then one lover in the future, take responsibility for all your actions, and always help others." Selena said as she sat in front of me, hovering above. She decided she would teach me everything I needed to know for this world, but I won't ever leave this den so it doesn't matter but I still listen and follow everything she teaches.

"My child, tomorrow I shall remove your seal. Many benefits shall fall upon you. You shall speak human language instead of Celestial. You shall become more beautiful and stronger. You will attract unwanted attention and get threatened with your loved ones, but you will thrive in this world and break new boundaries." Selena said with a little pain in her voice.

"But Selena's gonna stay with Somi in the den, Somi doesn't need to have the seal broken, Somi wants to stay with Selena forever!" Tears gently slid down my cheeks as I stared with pain in my eyes up at Selena.

Selena named me Somi, a name I shall keep with me forever. Even if it is a very feminine name.

"Enough child, time to sleep." Selena laid down where she was, grabbing me with her tail wrapped around my stomach and pulled me into her fur. I laid awake that night, thinking about what she meant today. These terrible thoughts of us being separated scared me sleepless.

I finally fell asleep and woke up soon after. Selena wasn't by my side... neither was my seal. I stood up, scared, not knowing what to do or what happened.

Two weeks have already passed, I found a note left by Selena today. It read, "Today as promised, I broke your seal. But I have replaced it with my own. A lot is shadowed in secrecy. My name is Selena, the last and first kitsune. I was born when the world started, my world is full of war and hiding, running from power crazed humans and celestial beasts. I give you my Celestial beast seal. If you focus hard, you shall summon your nine tails. I am residing in your soul, so I shall always be with you. I packed you a bag with all you will need. No matter how cruel this world may seem, there's a balance of evil and good. Good luck my child."

So that day, I grabbed my bag Selena prepared, and left the safe den, putting an illusion seal and a pin point on it's location. Time to make my guild.

I never had noticed, but the den was located on top of a snowy mountain in the middle of no where. If I recall correctly, Selena said that there was a human village to the north. I'll have to summon a spiritual animal to run me down the mountain, I'll just have to ask when I see Mr. Wolf pass by. Mr. Wolf is a smaller wolf then Selena was, he's a spirit.

I called out for him, and when he finally appeared, he was surprised that I was leaving the mountain. I told him not of what happened, but just that it was time for me to leave my nest. Of course it wasn't of my will but oh well. Mr. Wolf agreed with no hesitation. He said he knew the best way down the hill, so I hopped on his back and he ran me down. It took more then a week to just leave the mountain range.

The wind was bitter, and bit hard against my barely covered skin. When we finally reached the bottom of the mountains, there was a forest. All animals or lower spiritual animals were following me about. It was a rather strange experience but I felt safe with them.

Not even a day past. Mr. Wolf went back to the mountain den, while I was next to a small stream, bathing for the first time in a while.

What's so special about humans? They're evil creatures that want to capture and hurt Selena! I don't want to ever encounter one, let alone live with them! But Selena said there was a good and bad to everything...

I looked down at my reflection, tan skin accompanied by white hair, after Selena put a seal on me, my eyes turned the golden color I loved seeing on Selena. One white tail is sticking out above my butt! It's so annoying I wanna rip it out! But it huuuuurttssss!!!!!

I sighed and splashed water over my head, at least these ears aren't annoying as much. I have gotten used to seeing them after awhile. I don't think humans have ears though... or tails... I think it'll be best to hide them.

I took the bag and grabbed a handkerchief, wrapped it around my head and made sure to cover my ears. Now... off to the human village...

I sighed as I climbed back up the moist pathway that led down to the stream. I only had pants on, shorts made out of wolf fur. I swung the bag over my shoulder and walked up to one of the many animals near me.

'Can you guide me to the human village that's located in the north?' I asked a grey fox. The fox answered with a simple nod and guided me the way.

I never had to walk so much in my life! If I didn't cultivate every day for three years I would've passed out by now!
