An encounter in the elevator
It was just a normal day at school. Arriving at school, I went to the elevator and pressed the button. "clip clop, clip clop.." that was the sound of a person running toward the elevator. I hurried and waited for the person to get in the elevator...
"Oh, by the way, could you help me press the 7th floor button" I said. "Oh sure" said a female teacher in the elevator. The elevator got to the 7th floor and opens the door. The space in the elevator was so cramped that people could barely breath and could get out of there. The unknown passerby got out of the elevator first and as soon as it started to close...
...This unknown passerby saw the expressions on my face that I was a little worried and confused, afraid that the elevator would close any seconds. I was scared that the elevator would close and could cause harm to me. The unknown guy didn't hesitate but jumped back to the elevator and put his arms spread out at the elevator door, in order to make sure the door stays open for me.
I was so relieved and as I looked at his face, I see a very cold look. His eyes.. they are like frozen ice. His face expressions was very cold. No smiles, not even looking at me. I was about to thank him but he started walking upstairs to the 8th floor- which was also the floor I was going to.
"Hmm, strange.." I thought to myself. "Ehhh probably this stranger's classroom is somewhere on the 8th floor just like me.." Still thinking to myself.
I got in to my classroom which is labeled "room 802" as I was about to shut the door, I heard the sound of another door shutting from the room next door which is room 803. "Yep, it must be that stranger's classroom"- thinking to myself.
The class was very boring and finally the bell rang. "YES! Finally, it's time for a break"- shouted a student.

Hey yo! Let's go to the 10th floor and get our breakfasts. We gotta hurry so that we don't need to wait in a long queue-

Uhh guys, I'm just gonna pass cuz I already ate breakfast with my sister. I'm gonna go to my Khmer friend's classroom for my project this afternoon..

The lessons started and soon it was the time to go back home and prepare to go to Khmer school.

Yuri, I gotta go really quickly, my friends are waiting for me at the 5th floor. See ya!
This unknown guy keeps on following Yuri with a bunch of his friends..

"Wow, these guys are so cool. Ehh! And that passerby is also with them"
His face was as cold as the ice, frozen and unable to move. He stared at me for a while and continued to walk.
I was so confused and walked faster.
He walked behind me and pushed other people out fo his way.
I saw the way people looked at him in complete disorder and confusion thinking that he probably was in a hurry.
I slowed down for a bit and he also did. I pretended not to notice him..

"Oh.. It's already the lobby.. I'm gonna go wait for my dad to pick me up."
Yuri was just passing by and suddenly, those students pushed her out of their way.

"Pfft, she even let her boyfriend defend her"

I went home and prepared myself for Khmer school and late, to my extra class. It was Tuesday so I had extra math class that day.
The extra class finally end and I went home as usual.
This time, I couldn't stop thinking about him. I just... can't. I was questioning myself if I should go and thank him for helping me with the elevator and also helping me deal with those brats...
