Centuries ago, a great battle was fought on Earth. The Dark Dragon, Arcadia, attacked the human race with his Dragon army and caused fear and panic among the inhabitants. Arthur Pendragon who was a skilled magic swordsman at that time fought with vigour and bravery for his people. He befriended the Great Dragons and treated them like family. Great Dragons were Celestial Beings and looked down on humans as they could easy squash them like ants. The Dragon King Messiah hated humans to the core but never attacked them as he knew it would create an imbalance in the world. The other Great Dragons appreciated Arthur and fought with him to defeat Arcadia's army. The Moon Dragon, Claire and Sun Dragon, Solar sacrificed themselves to protect Arthur and his people and Arcadia was finally vanquished. Arthur cried for nights and days as they were very close to him. Legends say when a Dragon reached a matured age, they could shape-shift into a human form. Only 2 of the 4 Great Dragons were left ; The Jade Dragon, Mei and The Dragon King Messiah who disappeared from the rest of the world. All the lower breed Dragons had become extinct due to the war and humans' poaching as they were dangerous. Arthur took the decision to build his own kingdom to protect the people from future attacks. He introduced Knight ranking systems and became King Arthur naming the Kingdom after the fallen Dragon, Arcadia.

500 years have passed since the Great Dragon War. The Arcadia Kingdom is currently ruled by King Modred Pendragon, descendant of King Arthur, who is known as the most powerful Knight in the whole kingdom in terms of nobility and magic. Dragons are now beings of the past as the 2 Great Dragons have not been seen since the last war. They are said to be dead but Dragons are immortal beings capable of reincarnating if they choose to but it takes centuries, maybe millennium to do so.

Ernestier Ashdown is a young hardworking boy who has always looked up to Knights. Knights are considered to be a high noble rank in the Arcadia Kingdom. He comes from a Fallen noble family and is always bullied by other children. But he's kind hearted and naive just like his mother and never fights back against his bullies. He's always returning with scars and bruises as he has a very low magic affinity and is constantly picked on. He will be getting 9 year old in a few days and will be eligible to compete for the Arcadia Magic Knight Academy entrance examinations. The academy selects as low as 30 students each 2 years and each one of them are monsters. It has always been his dream but his low magic affinity is like a root hanging on his leg preventing him from moving forward. But this has never affects him. Even if other people makes fun of him, discorourage him, hurt him, he has never given up. He trains with his wooden sword day and night determined to ace his exams.

One day, he was practising deep in the forest when he saw a mysterious green light falling from above. He wondered, " What is this light? Is it maybe a Great Mage?"

Great mages could fly and wander the sky whenever they felt to but some places were prohibited. The light was getting closer where he was training and he could not stop from noticing. "I MUST ECCAPE OR I'LL DIE !" he exclaimed. He tried to leave but it was too late. The green light came crashing on the trees and passed inches away from him. "Thank God !" he said but everything in the forest was reduced to ashes. He was shocked. He had never seen such a beautiful as well as a fearsome being before. It was of a jade green colour and emitted a holy glowing light blinding Ernestier. But Ernestier was curious by nature and still went to see. "Ar-Ar-Are you-" he stuttered, "Are you a Dragon?" he asked the hurt beast with a frail voice.
