AUDREY'S POV

Fate is something that never stays with me. Destiny was something in which I lost hope when my fate collided with their world. It all started the day when there was an imbalance in the universe. Our world fell into grave danger, the demons started a battle as soon as the worlds collided. We lost our King and Queen in the battle and many innocent people. People started fearing the demons. They started thinking that accepting defeat was a better choice than continuing the battle and losing their loved ones. But I as the Princess will never give up to the demons.

I was coronated as the queen the day my parents died. The crown I wore was so heavy and I could feel the weight of my responsibilities.

Sometimes I have this feeling will I be able to defeat the demons with no magic. Will I be able to get humans together? Will humankind end if we lose? I needed comfort at that time and the only person by my side was Daniel our warrior who had been serving mom and dad for years. He had this cheerful smile even in grave danger to lift my spirits. "Don't worry Your Highness we'll surely find a way to get out of this mess. " That line made me think that the world has not yet ended and maybe even if we have the smallest hope, but if we try our best we may even be able to defeat them. But accepting defeat was not what a real Princess would do. Thinking about it I replied, "Let's try to find out the weak point of the demons"."Yes, Your Highness, we'll start with it right away. " he replied and left. The tension lasted for a while but we were confident that we would find a way somehow.

DANIEL

AUDREY'S POV

Days went by and the fear among the people increased. One day a mage came to the palace saying that there was a mention in the book of ancient history that," Creatures that cannot be defeated will arrive on earth. They will only be defeated by the eternal person. The savior of humankind will arrive when the secret is enclosed". Now, the only way was to find the book in which the secret was written. "We can't just move around freely when we don't know their weakness. We need to disguise ourselves as one of them", I said. Upon this Daniel replied, " We saw the demons wearing black outfits with a black scarf that covered their faces". I told them to summon the royal designer and asked him to make some outfits that look the same.

Everyone got busy. Once the outfits were ready Daniel set out with people in search of the book. They quickly got mixed up with the demons no one recognised them, but happiness doesn't last for too long. Ray, one of Daniel's men got his face revealed and was taken away by the demons. We were afraid of losing more people. At once I asked them to come back to the palace. Daniel did not return and he said that he would return with Ray. He followed one of the warriors of the demon. He finally found where Ray was.

DANIEL'S POV

Ray was kept tied with the demon warriors guarding him. I somehow got in. Ray's condition was bad. Bruises all over his body. Rescuing him was very difficult with the demons around him. I had to divert the mind of the demons to grab a chance. Guess the heavens were with me, a scream of a man distracted them. They went in the direction where the noise came from. They were surprised to see one of the demons unconscious on the ground. The demons turned blue. All of them had a terrible look on their faces as if hell and heaven had come together. Their chief who was present there commanded them to take him to their quarters where Bronco was waiting.

DANIEL'S POV

As the path was clear I took the chance and quietly and steadily started moving towards Ray. When I reached him I noticed that the material used to tie him up was not from this world. Ray told me to leave the place before the demons returned but I wasn't ready to leave without him. I thought deeply about rescuing Ray but, couldn't find a way then, something unexpected happened some light with a magnificent power came from my hands. Not thinking about how this happened I picked him up on my back and we left the place.

After a while, when we had left the place the demons returned. Not finding Ray in and finding the unconscious demon out there the demon warriors left and went to Bronco. " Master, the prisoner has set free, but we are trying our best to get him back." A hoarse yet strong voice from another side said, "Are you going to find him after he managed to set free? You brainless fools, you couldn't even watch over a human? How did he manage to escape with you who have powers around?" Silence spread around the place. Hearing this a member of the court asked "Could it be that a demon is against us, and maybe he is siding with the humans?" These words made Bronco turn red in rage, "Who dares to go against me? and that to side with the humans? Let a few men be in charge to find what is going on and how he managed to escape."

On the other hand, Daniel reached the Royal Palace with Ray.

AUDREY'S POV

I had been anxious all this time and hearing that they reached I rushed down to check upon Ray. He was in a terrible condition that he fainted on the way back. I could see that he had been treated worse. Looking at his bruises, I went into deep thought," If these demons can make his condition so bad in just a few hours I must know which creatures we are fighting against".

INJURED RAY

AUDREY'S POV

I called for the Royal Doctors to treat him. Ray was shifted to a special room where he had been looked after. After Ray was shifted Daniel handling something said," Your Highness, I brought back some of the material that Ray was tied with, it didn't seem to be from our world so I brought it with me thinking it would be of some help". "Alright you can leave now and you should take some rest after what happened" I replied. The doctors started his treatment at once.

A few hours later the doctor came out he mentioned that Ray had gone into a coma after the trauma that he faced. He even mentioned that what he went through was not as simple as it seemed. I handed him the material that Daniel had brought back asking him to do some research on this material too. He left after saying alright Your Highness.

AUDREY'S POV

Even though Daniel and his men disguised themselves, Ray still was caught by the demons. We can only know what happened when Ray wakes up and I hope that it happens soon. I still need to search for the book that the mage mentioned. I went to my room after such a long day. It seemed that many things happened in these few days. I just laid on the bed thinking how did we end up in such big trouble. Our world collided with theirs, I lost my mum and dad and the people lost their brave king. Thinking about mum and dad tears fell from my eyes. And then at last I fell asleep after letting all my sorrows out, thinking that tomorrow might be a new day and a new start maybe even just a little it may be better than today.

MEANWHILE......

IN THE DEMONS HIDEOUT

A large room in total darkness, just a little lamp beside the door giving the perfect vibes of demonic power. A man entered that room, "Master, all the preparations are done. Should we go ahead as planned?" A powerful voice could be heard from the other end of the room, and then suddenly a flame could be seen that lit up a little part and a handsome face could be seen. He was Bronco the Demon King that all feared. He had very sharp features, fierce red eyes, hair that was backflipped, pierced ears. He said," No, not yet. An interesting game like this should be played slow. No need to be in such a hurry". He gave a weird smirk that could give you chills down your spine and the flame went off. Hearing this the man at the door went away.

DANIEL'S POV

I came to rest as Her Highness has ordered and I even fell into a deep sleep. To think it was tiring today so I slept as soon as I rested my head on the bed. Suddenly I heard a voice, "Daniel........Daniel..... " Seemed that voice was calling for me which seemed to be the voice of a woman. And then I saw a woman at distance, her face wasn't visible so I tried to go near her but as I went nearer, she went back. "Who are you and How do you know my name?" To this, the voice replied," My son I've been looking for you for years. Where have you been?" "Mom? Is that you?" I asked. I couldn't hear a response to my question and then suddenly I woke up. So, it was a dream? It felt so real that I got goosebumps. I just went back to sleep ignoring it thinking that it must be because I am too tired. I saw that dream every night. That lady would come, call for me, and then I woke up this dream was never completed as if it had some meaning and as if that lady wanted to tell me something.

Who was that lady? Why did Daniel have such dreams? The question is, What was that magnificent light that came out of Daniel's hand in the 2nd chapter? is still not answered. What is Bronco trying to do this time? Find out what happens in the next chapter....
